Slott Spider-Epic Pt. 24

Prior threads are available here.

Picking up with Edge of Spider-Verse #4 and continuing on from there.

Heading home now. Bumps are super appreciated!!!

Is this that goddamn Morlun thing? I caught a few issues when this was out and against my will I actually liked it. Ditto with the Secret War spider-stuff. I'm a sucker for "NOW WITH 100% MORE SPIDAH-MEN!" I guess.

Indeed it is!!! PREPARE FOR MAXIMUM SPIDER!

I don't get why people hated this story so much, I thought it was a great horror Spidey tale.

Right there with ya. I'm actually startled by the fact that I generally enjoyed most of the Edge of Spider-Verse series, especially 3 and 5.

Also answering student emails is easily the most mentally draining activity of my day. I'm going to get some alcohol so I'll answer in a more cheerful manner.

Best Spider-Verse issue coming atcha!

Dear god, for how long has Slott been on Spiderman?

I think people didn't like it because it was so drastically different from Spider-Man, but I thought the horror aspect was interesting. I think it could've benefited from like Bronze Age era Neal Adams or Bernie Wrightson or maybe even Richard Corben-style art. Then again that would've been asking for too much.
