Films that really disappointed you

Mine is pic related. Friedkin's documentary style cinematography in this film is fucking disgusting.

I don't know why you had any expectations but I thought the psychedelic scene was kinda neat.

After the 45 minute mark it's non-stop kino.

I really like the French Connection and the Exorcist, and I saw some posts about it being an overlooked classic because Star Wars trashed it at the box office. I think I was memed into getting hyped for it. Fucking awful film

...

The major problem is the pace to that movie and the beginning is like 5 vignettes where you find out halfway how they connect.

MUH Friedkin
MUH underappreciated classic

Have you seen wages of fear?

No, I'm aware it's what the Sorcerer was based off of though. Is it good?

not gonna lie OP, that's some pretty bad taste

Explain

I disagree, maybe Friedkin's best film after The Exorcist. The film was hell to make in the jungles and you can tell by watching it.

>when you're jealous and feel so inadequate you lash out in a pitiful rage

You I think it's time to go back to Sup Forums

For teenage me, it was Rear Window.

IF HES TOO PLEB FOR SORCERER HE WONT LAST 5 MINUTES OF WAGES OF FEAR

CLEARLY THIS IS A CAPESHIT FAN

yes
It's wonderful, it's just slow. You have to be in the right mood. To Live and Die in LA is another great one with a faster pace

>mfw people like this actually post on the television and film board of a myanmar underwater basketweaving semaphore convention
wew lad

This shit right here, literally a dude driving and talking on the phone about cement for an hour and a half. I was expecting The Transporter with Tom Hardy based on how much Sup Forums was meming it. The feeling I felt at around 70 minutes when I realized that this is what the whole movie was going to be like could only be described as soul-crushing.

>Friedkin had the gall to condemn all superhero films after making the embarrassment that is The Guardian

literally the best film of all time to watch while drunk

agreed. Sup Forums tricked me into watching sorcerer. boring garbage.

>tfw too plebeian to appreciate movies
maybe pornography is more your speed?

Sup Forums tricked me into seeing Sorcerer and it's now one of my favorites of all time. For those that found it boring "pearls before swine"

I watched it like a month ago and it was amazing. Fuck off pleb shits.1

The most recent one was Jeepers Creepers 3.

The one thing I will say about Sorcerer is that the ending is MUCH better than the dogshit ending in Wages of Fear. I'm fine with the protagonist dying, but having him drive like a retard and careen off to his death after going through all that agonizing work just fucking killed my immersion completely. So fucking forced.

I think the vignettes actually make the film worse, though you kind of need Roy Scheider's for the ending. Mainly because they let you know who your protagonists are, so there's no surprise when the Jewish dude murders the German and takes his place like there is in the original film.

op is a pleb

yes that part is good but the intros for each character is really dumb. wages of fear does the intro far better

how about fuck you
