Damn this movie had a godly atmosphere, the scenes in hell were dreading and unsettling as fuck. What are some other hell kinos?

real life

pic related may fit the bill. also known as The Final Prayer

I watched this back when it came out and remember thinking it was definitely above average for a found footage horror. I might give it another watch soon.

This was pretty good too, although you're wrong about it depicting hell, really. I had conflicting feelings about the very end. On the one hand, it ramps up the suspense pretty well, but on the other hand, the very last scene kind of made me chuckle.

...

>found footage

Fuck off

Baskin was spooky but it definitely started better than it finished.

This movie had some legit creepy as fuck moments, probably my top 2 being when they hear this agonizing scream and the first noticeable use of music in the film suddenly appears - this unnerving, low violin - and they run around the corner to see a fucking burning car miles underground, with no explanation. An audible "What the fuck?" moment. Another scene that creeps me the fuck out is when they enter the large cavern near the end and see this grim reaper-like figure just sitting in this wicker chair facing away from them. It was such a creepy, disturbing shot.

Movie had some cheese near the end but damn it is so underrated.

>On the one hand, it ramps up the suspense pretty well, but on the other hand, the very last scene kind of made me chuckle.
I have to agree. The big twist at the end didn't really work for me, I felt like it was kind of over-the-top even for a horror movie and the last scene inside the god-thing where they're being eaten was just drawn out and dumb.

I can hardly watch this movie without remembering that I got nudes from my best friend’s girl when I rewatched it.

But yeah I really liked everything besides the beginning. The girl seemed way too perfect for me and I actually wish that more people died at the later part. The burning car was really shitty imo.

Agreed.
All my friends hated it but it's one of my fav horror kino from the last decade.

agree completely. The unsettling atmosphere was so much better than the eli roth style gore porn

I came here to laugh, not to feel...

...

I liked the concept but i felt if fell flat in many places

...

This nigga

I dont need this

I can only think if the hell scene in Constantine, which was done well I thought. I wonder how many scenes in hell were actually cut from the release.

sauce on this anime? not the quote

You shouldn't've.

I have nothing left anymore

haha le neet response

stop doing this every thread.

Fuck

>first act is fucking horrible
>third act isn't very good
One h*ck of a middle though

The ending shot of them going down the manhole only to end upright on the surface of the earth was pretty kino.

I also liked all the emphasis on alchemy. Movie itself wasn't scary, but that aspect made me enjoy watching it.

I thought the end was very unsettling, I wouldn't say it deals with Hell so much as it deals with paganism and paganistic worship.

i dont think that's animation

wew lad

faggot

I wanted so bad the end to be some weird alternate dimension shit. Is that too much to ask?

yea, it sounds gay as shit.

This could be a Japanese found footage film called Noroi: The Curse. An interesting if not slightly drawn out Jap horror.

I think it's gayer that they went down and came out on the other side to their own earth. They were actually on the other side and there are no repercussions?

>french movie made past the 80s
>being good ever
Nah I'll pass.

but life is so fun and good

it's not Noroi, it's from Occult, i believe.
Another jap FF.

back to letterboxd, faggot.

No idea what you are talking about, how about you go there since you know so much about it, faggot.

sure you don't, pretentious try hard.

Not even trying. Nothing pretentious about having a taste. Keep eating shit.

>m-movies past 80's!? i'm TOO smart for that!
kill yourself, roastie.

Went to watch this with my friends for one of their bdays. They claimed it was really good. I spent the entire time laughing my ass off. There was a scene with some creepy choir of like evil people or something and I remember thinking...they are all show because they didn't do jack shit but try to seem creepy. They didn't come after any of the characters. They should have had one of the character be ritually sacrificed. That would have been kino. Instead the characters fight off putties.

Movies rarely show Hell. I want stuff like Diablo or Dantes Inferno.

What Dreams May Come had good hell scenes. Hellraiser 2 as well.
Only other is Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey

I like this movie quite a bit, but it's not scary at all. It's basically a found footage Tomb Raider.

Everyone else went to hell, the reason why they were able to leave was because they made amends with their sins.
The repercussions are them knowing whats waiting for them after death and the fate of their friends.

>the scenes in hell were dreading and unsettling as fuck.

Except the fucking stupid burning car scene. That was not scary at all, they wasted some god tier build up on that predictable, not scary, cheap bullshit.

It is a very funny movie, but I think its more unintentional comedy. Not sure though.

>The burning car was really shitty imo.
THIS
This movie is really fun for found footage. Weird combination of adventure and horror, but the burning car completely ruins it.

projection

Its a good film.

Terrible movie

like most british films it starts off well then goes stupid for the last 20 minutes.
