ITT: Post directors and their worst film

ITT: Post directors and their worst film

>the aviator

>Dr Strangelove

holy shit what a pleb opinion, aviator is great. color of money is his weakest movie

Silent Night, Deadly Night III: Better Watch Out!

I liked Color of Money a lot. especially for a sequel. nowhere near as bad as Cape Fear

Rosebud (1975)

Aviator was good though, his weakest one was that tibetan monk movie from the 90's.

suckerpunch

Two People (1945)

>scorcese
>worst movie
>aviator
What are you even on about? It's one of his best ones

I know alot of Sup Forums likes it because of day lewis, but gangs of new york is overall a pretty crappy movie. its a big mess with some nice costumes and sets

The Dark Knight Rises

...

*Intersteller
fixed it for you

...

I was gonna put a disclaimer saying "But the plane scene is awesome" but I thought it was self-explanatory at this point.

Dune

The next one

Interstellar has a couple of great scenes though (like the wave scene, all the stuff on the ice planet, the docking scene, the black hole scene), whereas TDKR is just retarded from beginning to end.

without question

>TDKR is just retarded from beginning to end
this is only the opinion on Sup Forums. critics and audiences all liked it

Fuck that shutter island is his worst movie

it's an amazing movie if you forget the final 5 minutes happened.

Plan 9 From Outer Space

bait again faggot

I don't care where this opinion is held. It's my own fucking opinion you retard.

all of them

Dune is bad. not even David Lynch likes Dune.

Meh I called the ending in the first thirty minutes..... it's still a well made watchable movie but I would put it as his "worst"

I didn't even know this existed, or that Dreyer did so many shorts between Day of Wrath and Ordet, Are any good?

the man without a face

Cape Fear is great for DeNiro's performance alone

you obviously haven't seen Kundun

Nicolas Winding Refn

They Caught the Ferry is the only one I've seen and it's got a kind of dark humour about it. It was done as a PSA about speeding and funded by the Danish goverment as I think most of them were. You can watch it on youtube.

that isn't Only God Forgives

He looks so hurt.

That movie is only, ONLY watchable when DDL is onscreen. Leo looks lost the entire time and Diaz is a bad character played poorly

OGF had a few standout scenes though,
Neon was just vapid glitz

The story and pacing are a mess, the action sucks, most of the dialogue is terrible...

It's not a bad "worst film" to have, but it's not good

I liked Sucker Punch a lot. It's one of my top 20 for sure.

Seven Years Itch (1987)

It was great vapid glitz.

Dune > Wild at Heart

I'd probably rank insomnia worse

haven't seen Mother yet though

are you kidding me!!!!

ITT: Plebs.

Copland was pretty lame

Woody Allen
Match made in heaven Woody and Larry, but the script was just not funny.
In parts in was cringe inducing. Perhaps I just had high hopes

Copland is worlds better than Knight and Day

The Aviator was better than Shutter Island

name a worse film, other than Mother

L.A. Takedown (1989)

no it wasnt

Fuck off

He’s the Mann

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

You mean Gangs of New York/Shutter Island

Monk Comes Down the Mountain (2015)

Hard to chose. They're both garbage for different reasons and they are very different movies.

was just about to make a thread
>make a biopic about one of the most important persons of the century
>cast leo dicaprio
brava

this

>a neurotic jewish middle aged man struggles with love in new york
I just defined all of his movies, what's the appeal of woody allen?

Well they used to be very funny, up until Deconstructing Harry.
They also had pretty great performances all round. His latest do little for me and the occasional film Like Blue Jasmine is a blip in an otherwise predictable decline

>I just defined all of his movies
Not Sleeper, which sucks ass by the way.

Arrival

No

True

you need to watch more movies

the fountain
havent seen noah though

>not all the terrible porn shit he made later in his career
At least Plan 9 is entertainingly bad. The other stuff is just depressing.

>Michael Mann has made a bad film

It's really a pilot for an unmade tv series, Hanna, based on the screenplay for Heat. It looks cheap and was filmed in something like 11 days. Mostly artless tv-style, it's only identifiably Mann because of the dialogue.

You mean Wild at Heart, faggot

The best worst movie ever.

Yk kim, miami connection

You mean Wolf of Wall Street

What a shitty movie.

It’s basically a twilight zone episode

Hugo was his worst by far. Cohen's presence deducted an additional full point.

Samurai Cop was unironically better/worse

Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones

hothead pls go

More like his second best film you absolute fucking pleb. Holy shit! Refrain from posting
