Good movie posters

Tired of heores with concecerned looks on their faces, as they're cropped over each other on top of explosions and other shit? What are some unique movie posters Sup Forums

Movie aside, recent The Mummy had a nice poster with sarcophagus in plane cargo hold... It was teasing enough, without showing any place or characters in it but they used stupid one with Cruise standing in front of destroyed London.

I really like this one, thinking of putting it on my wall

Why do these feel like some random art student's attempt for a cohesive, minimalist style for random movie posters?

because they are, they aren't the official posters

Stop posting these garbage minimalism posters

Looks like the scene from Nightmare on Elm Street except with eyes. 1/10 no originality

...

...

every single Kubrick poster is a 10/10

i always thought maclolm mcdowel was a chick when i saw this in the video stores as a wee lad

Unironically like this

>literally running on a blade
This is a pretty dumb poster.

Anyone who likes minimalist posters made by tumblr, or fan-made "alternate" posters in general should off themselves. And to keep with OP the Japanese EoE poster has always been a favorite of mine, I've come to prefer it over the English DVD cover most people falsely think was the poster. I don't think there ever was a theatrical release poster for EoE in America in the first place.

All that build up and you never get to see the baby at the end. What a sham.

One of those artist-made ones. Usually these types of posters look all cool and “arty”, but this one doesn’t mean need flash to be effective. Clever, simple, and feels like it could’ve been the actual poster back in the day.

the more I see it the more I hate it

Fuck should i off my self if i actually think this is good enough to have been a real poster?

Yeah the hammer, such a focal point in the movie.

i sense sarcasm

>blatantly steals No Country for Old Men's tagline

minimalism is the art school equivalent of "I forgot to study"

He says while posting on Sup Forums, an incredibly minimally designed site.

Good minimalism is good. Bad minimalism is bad. I feel like I'm talking to a toddler. Pic related is minimalism. Yes it is.

>yfw this is probably the only 'original' poster I seen in few years
Seriously, almost always they use several similar looking styles, and this one actually stands out a bit.

>Clarice's skin is pale (in stark contrast to the darkness surrounding her) and blue like a corpse while her blue eyes had turned red, representing the film's themes of death, danger and virtue confronted with a malvolent influence (Lecter's eyes are red in the books, and another poster featuring his face employed a similar color scheme).
The moth with the skull pattern is a death's-head hawkmoth that's found in one of the bodies. Buffalo Bill inserts a moth's cocoon to the mouth of one of his female victims. Moths represent change in the movie, and other than explicitly representing Buffalo Bill's desire to change, it could certainly be argued that Clarice also transforms during the investigation.
The skull on the moth actually replicates In Voluptas Mors [Warning: Nudity], a photo conceived by Salvador Dali of seven naked women[*] that form a skull. This not only suggests the lewd nature of the crimes seen in the movie, which involve female bodies, but also the complexity involved (Lecter is an extremely cultured man and a skilled painter).
The moth also covers Clarice's mouth to allude to that titular Silence she so desperately needs.

Wait...wasn't he holding a gun? Is that the shooped version?

this looks like a 90s video-game cover though

Sup Forums has a shitty design. What's your point?

It Comes At Night unironically has one of the best posters of recent times.

Literally the best title and the best poster of 2017.
It's highly intriguing leaving you with the open question of what comes at night. If DVD rentals were still a thing, this would the most rented thing no doubt.
The only thing you could say is that it is a bit mismarketed.

For me the poster is the juice

Excellent movie, terrible poster. The poster is way too noisy.

Are you just trying to force a meme or what? I have seen this poster on Sup Forums CONSTANTLY over the last few weeks.

>Look how cool I am for hating on this movie I've never seen.

It wouldn't be rented at all because word of mouth would get out about how it's a pretentious piece of shit where nothing happens.
