What the hell was last nights episode? Bortus is becoming played-out as a character, Isaac's "humorous" scenes are cringy, Alarafu had like 2 lines in the whole episode, Kelly;s face looks bloated and she looks aged AF (seriously, she has to be the single ugliest love interest of a main character I have ever seen) and Lamarr's acting is an insult to the art of showmaking. Literally the only good moments in last night's episode were a couple of quips Seth made ("I have plenty of gelationous friends!" and "Hey there thats the guy!")
literally a 1/10 episode,a needlessly convoluted episode and I only give the one because even though she was in the background, i cant give an episode with my Ayyy Lmaofu a 0/10
Yes, that episode still had its moment and had real tension. Yesterday's episode was quite possibly the worst hour of Sup Forums I have ever suffered
Nolan Lewis
last episode was good, alara will be killed on the next episode, so there's no point in building her up too much
Josiah Kelly
Why do people waifu Alara when Seth is banging her?
Nathan Allen
that's just the meat puppet that brings alara to life
Easton Gray
Generally speaking "waifus" are the characters, not the actresses, the same reason why you don't see animu fags waifuing the VA's. Actress waifuing is basically just a form of stalking.
Xavier Parker
dude stop with this cringy "meat puppet" crap you pull in every Orville thread. How much of an obese virgin neckbeard are you?
Brayden Bailey
i don't care about alara seeing that she's getting killed next episode, still it's a fact that actors are not the characters they play
Jayden Kelly
A show has to actually be good for it to jump the shark.
If Alara dies, I'll admit, that's stupid, but I will enjoy licking up your tears.
Andrew Miller
Go suck a fuck, OP. The last episode was fantastic and easily one of the best episodes this season. The Orville is gruadually becoming a great show.
Carson Baker
you guys watch shows cause life has no meaning, right?
Blake Thompson
>was quite possibly the worst hour of Sup Forums I have ever suffered >was quite possibly the worst hour of Sup Forums I have ever suffered>was quite possibly the worst hour of Sup Forums I have ever suffered>was quite possibly the worst hour of Sup Forums I have ever suffered>was quite possibly the worst hour of Sup Forums I have ever suffered>was quite possibly the worst hour of Sup Forums I have ever suffered
Nathan Cruz
I watch tv series because they give me joy, idiot-senpai. Does it need to have a complex reason?
Easton Phillips
how is filling that empty void a complex reason? it's super simple
Benjamin Lewis
It's a VERY complex feeling.
Jonathan Anderson
There was nothing wrong with the episode, it was standard fun.
Jordan James
>You know what? Fuck You. I'm not a racist, all right? I just told a bad joke. There's a huge difference. But nobody on the Internet ever takes the time to ask themselves, "Is this worth freaking out over?" Or, "Are there bigger problems in the world than this tweet?" Well, I assure you, there are. And just for the record, I love black people. I watch tons of black porn. So, what do you all want from me, huh? You-you want to ruin my life? Then congratulations. You did it. Everybody hates me. I can't leave the house without getting harassed. No one will hire me. >I can't turn on my phone without strangers telling me to kill myself or that they're gonna kill my family. Leave me alone! I'm the self-righteous, liberal douchebag, not you! I've kissed a transsexual before! How many of you can say that?! Where's my fucking medal?! I am so far left, I'm spinning in circles, you fucks. Instead of killing myself, I should kill all of you! Was this directed to STD fans?
Christian Wilson
what?
Cameron Bennett
>implying Seth can handle the SAGE
Kevin Johnson
No, that was about a woman who made similar joke on twitter not long ago.
Ayden White
Actually this was the first time Orville actually worked as intended. Jokes were complimenting the plot, weren't just tackled on.
Liam Morris
Really enjoyed Flatland. I'm the only person I now that's read it and seen two versions of the films
Austin Wright
>my wife's apartment nice house, who's the owner?
Parker Nguyen
>seriously, she has to be the single ugliest love interest of a main character I have ever seen
Imagine being this gay
Mason Bell
>Kelly;s face looks bloated and she looks aged AF (seriously, she has to be the single ugliest love interest of a main character I have ever seen) yeah, no, i mean they downplay most female characters in this show except the doctor, but even with that i thought in episode 1 that wasn't a credible wife for McFarlane, way out of his league without the juicy FOX money
Cameron Wood
Will Mina Kunis replace Alara?
Gavin Kelly
will she be a non-retarded space elf? also i thought you meant Milla Jovovich
Brayden Lewis
Seth is pretty handsome in that average sort of way, and you'd be surprised how many hot women go for that.
James James
I like how they ease up new characters from extras to recurring to secondary. Very smooth, develops the character properly, leaves lots of leeway and opportunity to experiment.
As for yesterday's episode, there was nothing wrong with it. It was good honest and fun, while being unassuming. It did a good job developing several characters and showed decent concepts. Easily 7/10.
Jace Reyes
Maybe you should just stick to your reruns. The Orville is NOT Star Trek. It is only similar. We arborists are in it for the fun. If you are too much of a pedantic stickler for details, or love to seriously argue with trektards over the minutiae of plots, props, or personalities, then The Orville is obviously not for you.
Thomas Flores
What comfy beverage or food would you order from the matter synthesizer, /orv/?
Christian Parker
Dropped this trash after the bortus transphobic pedo whatever the fuck weird ass episode.
Jayden Richardson
More like why do people waifu a retard?
They even said it in the show, she's slow, didn't finish her education and took a job beneath her people.
Jeremiah Jones
>I dropped the show about aliens when the alien did something alien and had an alien civilisation
Wyatt Nguyen
>Lamarr's acting This was my first time watching the show, and I can't get over how bad this guy was. All of the acting was kind of bad, but this nigger was "community theater"-bad.
Eli Jones
source?
Julian Wood
youtube.com/watch?v=R5vENEu_2o0 it's either alara or the doctor, may be the doctor because of the issac/doctor scene they put in the trailer, but it may be misdirection, and the actress playing alara was fed up with the orville, so it could be her easily
Carson Cook
Checked. Also how is everyone in that universe not incredibly obese? Having any food you want for free in an instant would kill so many people. Not to mention you can also sythesize 100% pure Heroin and stuff.
Dominic Rivera
This episode we learned that nepotism is a good thing.
David Mitchell
In my headcanon, all the fatties and degenerate chaff died out because of natural selection killing them off by doing just that.
How else do you explain Kelly saying the new form of currency is to work hard and love your job?
Or that you should trust your references in a resume?
Isaiah Hill
that could make anything.
do you have any credible source saying that halston sage is "fed up" with the Orville
Aiden Moore
Sup Forums
Mason Sanchez
All I can say OP is I missed it accidentally watching a basketball game and saw the last 5 minutes and saw oh wow look its Captain and The Bitch whining about relationship issues again, I knew then I wasn't missing out. THIS is why The Navy was so reticent about allowing women.
Samuel Adams
wow. you had me there!
Colton White
The vast majority of the Universe aren't American.
Sebastian Jackson
>trektards OP here, I have LITERALLY never seen a star trek episode
Grayson Collins
A guest appearance for Meg could be amusing.
Julian Rodriguez
>best episode >losers and whiners still complain Go back to making your capeshit threads losers.
Jackson Gonzalez
nice meme
Aaron Morris
>alara fed up with the orville I've always wanted to meet somebody like you, what pleasure do you get making things up on the internet?
Hudson Scott
So no, you don't have a source. You're just making shit up.
Nolan Barnes
>We arborists
Dominic Cooper
Great show.
Isaiah Rodriguez
Gentle reminder to buzzword Sup Forums cunts:
"Jumped the Shark" is a trope that means "when the show did something so great they can't hope to surpass it". Popular examples are the Red Wedding, Gus Fring, Community's pizza episode, I am your father, Ricklantis,
It stems from Happy Days, when the show's most popular character Fonzie jumped a speedboat over a shark. Having done that, the show lost momentum as nothing could top the episode's entertainment value or cultural impact.
It does not mean "when the show started sucking."
Grayson Powell
>waifu is a retard >black guy is the smartest person on the ship
lmao Sup Forums btfo
Thomas Williams
>Alarafu had like 2 lines in the whole episode
She just had a whole episode to herself this month.
Levi Gomez
Who will they replace Alara with? It is literally impossible to watch an entire hour-long program if it doesn't include lots of hot girls.
Colton Howard
they will replace the whole crew with new xalayan space elf girls
Daniel Adams
someone give me a good link FOX isn't a thing in 3rd world
Jeremiah Cox
I didn't mind the episode having one guy being "humorous" because he's a total retard is well enough, wonder if they had planned it since the beginning, or just reached the conclusion later on. But the 2d universe was not only rather silly, but also completely pointless. It could be an elemental plane of shit for all it mattered to the plot.
>(((popcorntime))) After the jewification it's a literal botnet. A shame, it was fantastic before.
Matthew Allen
Wait... wtf...
I thought they were filming season 2? Why are they releasing new episodes this fast? Or am I losing my mind?
Andrew Harris
they haven't finished the season yet, still one epside to go
Jacob Ortiz
The black guys acting was damn stiff, but not a bad episode. Isaac petting Gordon was the funniest part.
Josiah Kelly
Would it surprise you that scene triggered the autists of Sup Forums?
Nicholas Roberts
The last episode in the 2d realms was fucking fantastic, one of the best so far, you are an absolute autistic brainlet.
Nolan Cooper
a little
Levi Miller
>Lamar is secretly super smart
Yes, fuck this show now. As soon as Alara is killed off I'm done with it.
Ethan Ross
Other than the visual representation of the flatland it was fine. That triggered me so much.
Yeah we dont know how a 2d universe would look like but it certainly wouldn't look like that. They should have put in a little more effort on ideas and come up with something other than some visuals from an 80s computer ad.
If you red Death's End from Cixin Liu, the guy does a great job of describing a 2d universe.
Justin Jenkins
They must have realized that Lamar was an awful, completely unnecessary, token diversity hire and conjured up this twist to salvage the situation. It might have worked had the guy been even remotely believable as a genius. Too bad he isn't, and now it's just a sad, sad display. I almost feel sorry for him, honestly. They might as well have hired pic related as their genius engineer.
Christopher Wilson
I thought it was neat
Jose Reyes
Super-medicines and the availability of stuff making it less desirable, I guess. Especially when instead of getting high you can literally go on a mind-blowing space adventure.
Fuck knows that if I could go into space I'd never bother watching TV shows again, there would be much more interesting ways to spend my time.
Angel Carter
so, are they're going to kill off Alara just because Tasha Yar also died season 1? I think they're taking the whole "new TNG" a bit too far
Eli Parker
Lamar's actor can't act
Nicholas Bennett
IDK. I have gotten jobs due to nepotism in the past but while it gets your foot in the door it won't keep the job. You have to do that yourself.
Admiral Firestorm could easily have promoted Bortus or Isaac to command of the Orville. Or given it to Kellie.
Dylan Wilson
>are they're going to kill off Alara
>how do you want your audience >make all the males fuck off >say no more
Julian Gutierrez
more the actress wants to move on to bigger things. She's dazzler on the next Xmen
Luis Allen
It was 10 out of 10 episode.
Alexander Johnson
history repeats itself it seems
Dylan Ross
Knowing Seth he'll just replace her with a hotter younger model
Jason Thompson
Halston is pretty average
Thomas Gonzalez
>average
Michael Walker
caked in makeup to hell and back
LMFAO
Noah Rogers
>She's dazzler on the next Xmen fucking capeshit, ruins everything. hope they get at least 2 new space elves to compensate
Ian Johnson
Does Seth sigh before ever line in every episode, or was it just this one? I never notice before today.
Connor Powell
>dazzler huh
Aaron Wood
so she's basically an eye candy character next? how low has she fallen...
Brayden Hill
>eye candy character isn't every single x-men female?
Christopher Gutierrez
i guess, if you put it like that, isn't there any ugly one that we must feel sorry for or similar?
Andrew Perez
Agreed that the phrase references Fonzi, but few people thought that was great. It was ridiculed the moment it happened.
Luke Brooks
>no ass >man face
Hunter Martin
I don't get it. This is Science Fiction, and when they drop seeds of new physics speak into it autists go all Sheldon. The episode was IMO fantastic and helped develop a major character flaw in John J. Lee. You can nitpick the humor and its place in a satirical "Trek" spinoff, but that will always be Seth's schtick. This is so much more like the old Trek 80s/90s days than anything on television.
Dropping into a 2D Tron-esque world was memorizing and the quantum bubble references were funny. No one else on the ship theorized the concept except Lamaar, so it gave him a chance to prove himself, in ways that Alara got to in previous shows.
If you think they are Offing the Sage, remember no one dies in Sci-Fi.
Christian Morris
ALL ROOK SAEM
Ayden Cox
>Imagine being this gay
Imagine being this cucked
Isaac Gutierrez
describe what you would want a 2d universe to look like
Anthony Green
Classic Greg Horn sameface.
This show without Alara is garbage trash feces tier. Any hope of getting Charlize Theron back as a regular?
Nicholas Miller
Which character death would hurt the hardest? Would any deaths actually make you drop the show?
I’d hate if Alara or Isaac died. They’ve endeared themselves to me so much that I’d genuinely miss their presence.
