It's shit, don't watch.

Well that was Autotuned crap.

When did Noodle get hot?
>Inb4 she was always hot because I like flat un ripe children

I dig it. 2-Ds old man pants are...something.

Noodle tentacle rape when?

Around Plastic Beach. Did you see her in that Formula E commercial?

360 degree version with uncensored Murdong
youtube.com/watch?v=lVaBvyzuypw

I'm sure Zone is already hard at work.

Excellent, I'm sure the 5 years will be worth the wait.

she was always hot because I like flat unripe chil... O you

This was a wild ride in VR. Shame it couldn't be stereoscopic too.

Was this shit written by a woman or something
Worst video yet

>2d's pants

i like the video though. the 360 video was cool

youtube.com/watch?v=hBA0PUQCvIA
I prefer this song, but at least we got a neat slideshow with the rest of them album

This was maybe the worst Gorillaz song I've heard.

Well after the first song being a major shitshow this was... ok.

...

>Noodle's legs

Oh my god.

their recent albums have been to hip hop for me, sad they went this direction

>Not posting all of the songs

All their songs have been shit. Their overratedness as the Modern Beetles are over.

Good video, mediocre song. The guest artist is generic as fuck and as a result the song is uninteresting until Damon chimes in. Really would have benefitted from being a more thorough collaboration instead of letting them do their own thing most of the way through.

Murdoc's voice does things to me.
What does Russel's shirt mean?

I think it's a reference to Raelism (and its leader, a guy called Rael). They're a UFO cult which, I guess, ties in with the apparent space theme they got going on.

I have the complete opposite opinion. I've liked every song I've heard so far.

Loved that shit!

This could have been cool if I could understand one fucking word the singer said. Still have high hopes for the album though.

what age did you grew out of rap Sup Forums?

11 for me

>I listen to everything but country and rap

I thought it was good. Glad to see a Gorillaz video after so long.

Andromeda is pretty good.

The song, not the game.

The others suck. I mean the rap is ok, it's good rap. It's just not what I look for in the Gorillaz tracks I like.

Weird synth and hot beats and rap that's less "YEAH FUCK EVERYTHING. and more I'M A GHOST THAT LIVES IN A BLACK GUUUY"

Animation doesn't compare to the original videos.

Music doesn't compare to the original.

Safe to say they're over.

I didn't really grow out if it, I just realized that is has nothing to say to me

I'm sure there are many artists and songs with deeper meaning, and I've listened to many. Its just you can only listen to bragadociousness so many times before it's tarts to get old. I k ow Aesop Rock has a stigma, but he's pretty good, as well as other stuff like A Tribe Called Quest. He'll, even most of the features on Plastic Beach and Demon Days were pretty good. It's just that I have no personal connection to the "Black Divide" in America and Im not really interested in drug culture, so messages like TPAB and other more political artists resonate with me. I'm sure there are more niche flavours out there that are enjoyable but I don't have the drive to scratch that deep into the genre when I'm already into other things, so it's just something that occasionally pops up in my tracklists instead

Well that was mediocre as fuck.

The animation style I don't mind but the CG stuff was shit and the music was crap. Nobody listens to Gorillaz for fucking reggae.

you must have not listened to the S/T

Must have come to know Gorillaz late then!

Sorry that we're not all nostalgia fags that still cling to shit like Clint Eastwood 16 fucking years later.

If by "their recent albums" do you mean everything after their debut album? Even the self titled album had lots of heavy hip hop elements that were popular in that decade. You think this would be obvious with Del the Funky Homosapien featured on their most popular song.

>liking good music and disliking shit music makes us nostalgia fags
I only got really into Gorillaz last year and I still think this song was shit compared to the rest of their stuff.

Meh, 4/10.

>I only got really into Gorillaz last year
How the fuck does this happen.

Like people who only recently get into Daft Punk. How the fuck does that happen?

Holy shit their best track yet

>Noodle turned into a Thot

When is the album release?

>my shitty edit from a long time ago is still being used

I don't know how I feel about this modern rap. It sounds good but Gorillaz seemed to always have alternative rap instead of what was totally mainstream.

>Noodle is as tall as 2D now
Don't know if want

Aesop Rock is the shit I don't care what anyone says.

Are the characters still aging in real time? That would make Noodle about 30 which makes me feel old and sad.

Yes but they're all aging very slowly.

>uncensored

I liked it a lot, myself. Video was cool, creepy.

At first I wasn't sure I was too into the song, but here I am still listening to it on repeat and enjoying it more. Andromeda is great, too.

Noodle is 26.

Yeah, it kinda grew on me. Wasn't a fan of the autotune, but in retrospect it wasn't bad.

Every new Gorillaz related media reminds me that music discussions are literally the worst. Even anime discussions are more tolerable.

Thats why we dont go to Sup Forums

Its a terrible place

Murdoc don't age.
Man's immortal,
Made a deal with the devil
Madman in my honest opinion.

it really is convenient you're not into that specific group of people he's accordingly knitting you into

Andromeda is fucking good shit

We've got power is good too, Ascension is starting to grow on me a bit after a couple listens as well

Saturn barz is actually the weakest song they've released on the album so far and it confuses me to no end that this is the one they chose to make a video for. Even the rest of the leaked tracks are better than this. At least there's the full version of submission to look forward too

>This good 2D animation

Andromeda is nowhere near as good as Saturn Barz. Saturn Barz is the best one so far.

>that skirt on noodle
>those legs

>the Beatles were overrated
>you say the Gorillaz are overrated
>????
>Profit

hnnng. god the porn can't come quick enough

Friendly reminder that 2D best boy

2D is looking 57 and I kinda like it

It's just the high waist pants.

I don't know if it's a genre but I've heard two "space reggae" songs in my life and I want more.

youtube.com/watch?v=j_TGvsk8_Ms

I watched this in VR and will admit my pants popped open when it zoomed in on Noodle.

this was from a few months ago, even has the current style.

this was the worst one. the nigga was rappin' like it's still the 60's with lynchings and shit. that hood reminds me of highland park in detroit

Reminder that 2D is old as fuck looking with his old man pants pulled up high because Murdoc swapped all their organs at some point around Plastic Beach.

Murdoc has 2Ds fresh young organs, and 2D has Murdocs old man organs.

So they turning humanz? Is there any site like Plastic Beach or Kong Studios you can explore? Or are they done with that shit.

They swapped organs back in Kong Studios, man.

I discovered Gorillaz because of my love for Del, and Dan the Automator back in 2000 with the Tomorrow Comes Today EP. Gorillaz (2001) and Demon Days were more balanced with the hip hop blending into the other genres used. Ironically they were both produced by guys famous for working mostly with rappers, Dan the Automator and Dangermouse. When Damon took over producing with Plastic Beach and beyond, it's become some unwritten rule that nearly every song has to have a guest rapper in it. Personally I feel like Gorillaz is better when Damon isn't 100% in control of the music. He needs a producer to work with.

I prefer Clint Eastwood era songs.

>dude too many niggers
reminder that Sup Forums were too underage when their self-titled album came out with black features, raps from de la soul, snoop dogg, and eslam jawaad on Clint Eastwood; and a song entirely in spanish off g-sides

>they could have easily had the haunted house as an interactive website
>can find Noodle and the others exploring it

Maybe when the album comes out.

So what's the lore so far? I know that Noodle came back to fight Cyber Noodle, and Russle was huge, and they all lived in a town house, but then what? Why are they exploring a haunted house?

I lost all interest in this album when they released that trump bashing song. I get that they want to be trendy and all but at least have some respect for the office.

Go cry to your safe place, user. Sup Forums is to your right.

>at least have some respect for the office
Are you serious

>respect for the office

2D looks young though while Murdoc looks like he's rotting.

Sorry, the musics too "black" for me to get now.

They used to mix rap with other stuff to get some insanly good songs, but this is all just plain nigga nigga nigga rap with nothing else added. No funky beats no nothing.

i wasted so much time exploring those websites when the albums came out. discovering all the little easter eggs everywhere. damn that was fun

Sorry, I'm not autistic enough to be upset over this, it's nice

go

There's three rap songs in Plastic Beach: Superfast Jellyfish, Sweepstakes, and Snoop's song. Everything else is the blend of hip hop and electronic that made them popular in 2000.

Why should Brits have reverence for a foreign power's government?

Ascension says nigga once. Once.

Yeah it sounds like ass

I love vague input like this

like, whenever good criticism comes afloat there's valuable discussion, but statements like these add nothing and are mainly taken for bait

People get born and get older???
Also if a band hasn't been active in a while people tend to forget about them

I'd never guess this was Gorillaz if I heard it on the radio. It just sounds like club bullshit.

>it's not like the old style so it's bad
call fucking Scotland Yard, fag.

I can't imagine how anyone likes autotuned singing. It sounds ridiculous atleast the albarn part was good

This. Empire Ants was chill as fuck and I loved it.

demon days was rap bullshit
plastic beach was electronic bullshit
the fall was whatever the fuck it even pretended to be

why even pretend to gather cred on a Gorillaz thread of all things?

There are people who hate Aesop Rock? What fuckboys

I've been listening to Doomtree and all the related artists, their beats are killer and their rapping is pretty good, if very generic. Dessa is the standout of the bunch for me, followed closely by sims.

I've also been listening to a bunch of Ceschi, who has this really unique sound by mixing his stuff with Folk Music. The One Man Band Broke Up is my favorite from him.

I didn't stop listening to rap, but I found new, weirder rap.
