The finale wasn't bad. Not quite as good as last season, but not bad.
I like to imagine during his storm phase Bendu was shouting, "Fuck yeah, another walker! Oh shit, I'm earning too many Light Side points! Kanan Jarrus, let me shoot you a bit so I can get back to the middle! I need the Dark Side points, Kanan! FUCK YOU, KANAN!"

I noticed a lot of fandoms get their generals deleted on creation on this board
>“You see the film and think it’s a kind of corporate synergy,” Hal Hickel, the animation supervisor on Rogue One, told io9. “But really it’s just casual and friendly contact between folks at Lucasfilm working on different aspects of the Star Wars universe and going, ‘This would be super cool. Can we put your ship in our movie?’”
>That’s how the Ghost, the hero ship of the Disney XD show, showed up not just on Yavin IV (above, top left), but in the space battle above Scarif. “I was chatting with [Rebels executive producer] Dave Filoni,” explained Rogue One producer John Knoll. “[I asked] ‘How would you feel about having the Ghost show up somewhere in Rogue One?’ They were all excited about the idea.”
>That was the easy part.

Why do people think that the crew of Rogue One are coming back as the Knights Of Ren?
why is this a thing? It's retarded.
Tyler Gonzalez
>It was a bit more complicated, though, for the Hammerhead Corvettes. In Rogue One, that’s the ship that crashes the disabled Star Destroyers, resulting in the shield around Scarif being destroyed. Many people don’t realize, though, those particular ships originated on Rebels, when Princess Leia “stole” them for the Alliance. Knoll didn’t know any of that. He just knew he needed ships for a space battle, and everything went from there.
>“[Using the Hammerheads] came out of discussions a bunch of us had about ‘What should the Rebel fleet really consist of?’” Knoll explained. He knew of a few obvious ones but, to get the definitive answer, he approached the Story Group.
>[They said] “Well, they could have the Hammerhead Corvette” and they showed me some images from Rebels. So that prompted me to grab the model and make a movie version of it. And we had that underway as a background ship when we were fleshing out some of the story beats of what happens in the space battle. Suddenly I needed a ship that could act as a tugboat and I thought, “Well, let’s use the Hammerhead for that.” So it kind of turned into a starring role.
>To actually turn those CG animated ships into live-action CG elements, Knoll explained that the Rebels team gave the team at ILM the CG models from the show, then model supervisor Russell Paul “did a bit of a rebuild on them to add up a level of detail that was needed for it to hold up in a feature film.” And, that’s that. A few conversations around the office, fans have some fun easter eggs, and two major Star Wars stories get connected in an exciting way.

>Why do people think that the crew of Rogue One are coming back as the Knights Of Ren? Pretty sure that whole idea died with the crew.

Because we have consistent comic releases as well as cartoons. It's not like other generals where they have no new content for months, or even over a year.
Even when Rebels is off air, we literally only have a few months to wait before new episodes, with consistent comics releasing almost every week, sometimes multiple issues, along with plenty of other Star Wars content keeping threads alive with actual discussion. We also have actual discussion, and dont spam/shitpost all over the board, so we're not pissing anybody off for people to complain about us. A lot of the time storytimes even happen in-thread, so we take up minimal space on the board despite being the biggest franchise ever.
We've been here for like 5 years now, I don't think we're going anywhere anytime soon.

This kind of passion for cross-media really warms my heart, and the pay-off in the movie is huge for the fans who follow this stuff.
Hope we get more like it in the future.

>Why do people think that the crew of Rogue One are coming back as the Knights Of Ren?
Fan fiction basically. Almost all the Jyn fics out there are redoes where she lives.
Xavier Young
70+ IP's in a general is a lot though. 100+ is great.
The ones that usually get banned often have much lower amounts of posters, because interest dies if there's no content to regularly talk about.
Star Wars is constantly having new stuff to talk about, very often Sup Forums related, with official comic/cartoons releasing regularly, so this place has always stayed fairly active, even when our main cartoon is between seasons.

Did Hera call Kanan "Love" when telling him to get back to base or did I mishear it?

The recon for that episode has Filoni get very passionate about the importance of the storytelling decisions they made when creating that episode, in particular his concerns about diluting it with a B plot running concurrently. That arc meant a lot to him.

Bentley King
>will there be a season where they're helping Luke from the sidelines but never meeting him? This might come as a shock, but it's actually very highly possible that Luke will appear on this show for a few episodes on a Rebel Mission.
Han too. Seems surreal, but it's honestly inevitable at this point. This show is almost certainly going to proceed past ANH, where they'll be with the Rebellion.
>Luke was how old in that episode? 10? 17
Jace Cruz
Here let me predict the future.
>rebels ends before ANH >the crew will go on to meet him in tie ins announced during the years celebration >hype ensues as no one expected everyone to live
or
>rebels goes on long enough for the ghost crew to meet him
Brandon Thompson

I oddly enough have Return of the Jedi as my favourite. Yeah, the Ewoks are a problem but the final confrontation with Vader...that sits with me most out of all the movies.
Xavier Allen
Also, it was that Ghost Turret where he first caught a glimpse of the cosmos.
Jaxon Martinez
17? He had the voice of a preteen and his silhouette seemed pretty small. But I'm sure you're right. I don't know the actual dates off the top of my head in the universe but I'm sure it's further in to the ANH timeline.
I mean R2 did meet Chopper after all. I just wonder due to the fact that in ANH the only Jedis talked about are Yoda and Obi. It would be a pretty big retcon but honestly I wouldn't mind it.
I also wouldn't really mind if they cross into the movies. Like the show ends on the presumed death of Ezra or something and he shows up in episode IX. I know I'm autistic.
Mason Baker
There are people in these threads who would walk away from this instead of giving her a hand.
Andrew Sullivan
The twins are only a day or two younger than Ezra. End of the last thread has a link to the Rebels Recon segment that answered that question.
Robert Rogers
Ezra is actually two days older than Luke, he was born on Empire Day, with Luke/Leia being born 2 days later, and Rebels is just 2 years before ANH now, with Ezra and Luke both being 17
>I also wouldn't really mind if they cross into the movies Chopper/Saw/QT-KT already made it into movies despite first appearing in cartoons, and Hera very notably was name-called and shown flying around in the Ghost throughout Rogue One. Not to mention the Hammerheads, as noted earlier in the thread. So in some neat ways, Rebels/TCW has already crossed into the movies. Nothing major or gamechanging, but it shows they're willing to do it if the story fits.
William Baker

His defeats will weigh him down. Logically he'll know that he did everything right and even came away with a win, but in his head emotionally he'll feel like he failed. He'll feel that over and over, constantly hurting the Rebels but never truly defeating him, and that feeling of failure will be his true defeat.
