And I still can't find an instrumental of that last song

And I still haven't seen it.

This is my first and only waifu

Kinda proud when I think about how many times I've seen this movie, still remember all the songs and didn't end up a furfag or gay.

And it still just have two good jokes and one decent music

its fun and has some pretty nice animation though
youtube.com/watch?v=DdP3Itc6_Es

it's so forgettable

"muh country folk who went to the big city to fulfil his dream"

we had one of these recently.

Really? Are you just not interested, I'm not angry if you say your are, just curious.

It's has been on my watching list for over a year but it's not a priority.
If there is a blue-ray release or something like that I'll watch it.

>"muh country folk who went to the big city to fulfil his dream"
Isn't it about racial segregation?

i only remember it because thirty twenty ten talked about it.

Last work by Gene Kelly

Which music is decent?

Big and loud

And i really say "decent"

that too.

happy birthday, then.

My penis is also 20 years old, why doesn't it have an animated movie?

If Darla hated animals so much, why was her butler a gorilla?

Racial segregation specifically in old Hollywood. I like the way this movie did it.

Not user but it's FUCKING good. Watch it today, you missed out.

It wouldn't be long enough.

10/10

Some say they still don't dance to this day.

I don't do streaming.
Give me a mega in HQ and I'll watch it.

Why is it so hard to keep KDD 20th anniversary threads alive?

She enjoyed having an animal being subservient to her 24/7.

>when he has a barbed penis

Nobody knows this goddamn show even though it has Tom "Went to bootcamp for saving private ryan for realism" Hanks as the main character. Shit, people be missin' out on this gem.

Quick summary of CDD. I don't think the whole movie is worth going out of your way to see, except that it sets up its masterpiece of an ending. Once you account for the ending it's a better, more meaningful and innovative movie than Zootopia. Especially considering this one came first.

Movie drags a lot even for 1h15m and the characters and story aren't that interesting. Racism is bad. One of its larger successes is its love letter to classic Hollywood and especially Singin' in the Rain. Those are worth something if you are a fan of that stuff, as I am.

Movie almost moved me to tears. Most of this is borne out in the last 15 minutes, but the emotional impact of the final sequence is based on the hardships endured in the first hour of the movie.

What's magical about the ending is that it goes beyond "be yourself". Cats Don't Dance adds another genius element to its closing song: suppression only causes the suppressed group to become stronger. History has proven this.

The payoff is immense. Cats Don't Dance begs the viewer to question the history of movies. Could a black person have starred in "Casablanca"? And has discrimination warped our appetite for films? Cats Don't Dance creates an alternate history in which marginalized groups broke through discrimination in the 40s. This alternate history brings us to shame.

Awful choices made in the 20th century created ripple effects that reach the 21st. Sadly, the current demographic breakdown of Hollywood has white men at the top and everyone else clamoring for scraps. Evidence points to this not being the result of meritocracy. Cats Don't Dance gives us something to strive for.

I don't think it's a coincidence it's a gorilla either, for the racism allegory.

So Max is supposed to resemble Uncle Toms working for white people?

Wait, did they ever explicitly state he was a gorilla?

I admit it's been a while since I last saw it, but I thought he was just a cartoonishly huge human.

You're probably right. If anyone would know it would be these people / this person. cdd4ever.com/

...

its more obvious in shots where they place shadows were his fur would have been if he wasn't perpetually shaved

I'm pretty sure some hot pocket has it in for this movie.

This movie is forgettable and the only reason you make threads is because of your furry waifu. The mods acknowledge it and they know these threads will eventually devolve into full furfaggotry. End of story.

Never made a CDD thread and I don't think I've ever masturbated to Sawyer

I don't know which is worse, your shit taste or your toadying.

...

>being this assblasted

i saw this movie in theaters with my grandma

the mall the theater was in also had a bunch of robotic life-sized dinosaurs on exhibit at the time, it was pretty baller

Cute movie

Giant gorillas were also confirmed in the film thanks to Kong.

Kong's fuccboi voice in that scene was great

Fag and slut cat.

Good taste.

>suppression only causes the suppressed group to become stronger. History has proven this.
>Sadly, the current demographic breakdown of Hollywood has white men at the top and everyone else clamoring for scraps. Evidence points to this not being the result of meritocracy.

Keep your progressivism pseudo-political science away from this thread. And thanks for spoiling.

>I don't think it's a coincidence it's a gorilla either,

He was human. Just cartoonishly huge.

Nah. There wasn't that much symbolism effort put into this movie.

Bump

i have the soundtrack on CD and it's not included so it probably doesn't exist

Watching now. Thought I dreamed this movie.

Tell us what you think when you're done.

the first show to give me furry dreams i was 6 years old

...

Not gonna lie, I find the elephant to be the most husbando

I loved it. Thought it was very cute and Darla is a stockpile of reaction images.
Thought the ending posters were kind of lame and I thought a lot of the characters didn't really add anything, but I loved it.

Good to hear dude, I personally found the parody posters kind of funny and yeah, Darla makes the best faces.

>Still no "Sup Forums sings Big and Loud"

Anyone got that pic of Sawyer auditioning for a Tarzan film?

WHERE ARE THE DARLA LEWDS

WHERE ARE THE GROWN UP DARLA PORN

>no shoes

Disgusting

Has Sup Forums song anything at all before?

youtube.com/watch?v=_IcY7PA1I08
youtube.com/watch?v=j4528TObIC0

youtube.com/watch?v=Q-bRP_oZwHk

Shit, I'd support this.
I love that song and it's style influenced the way I sing anyways.

>The Iron Giant will be old enough to vote this July

Damn shame Jasmine Guy never continued as a voice actor

didn't like this movie.

I've seen it a few times in CN

It was alright from what I remember

Most cats from back then probably don't dance anymore.
i miss you snookums :,(

A cat is fine too?

>suppression only causes the suppressed group to become stronger.
Or, you know, to degrade and eventually disappear through a mixture of dying out and assimilation. History has proven that, too. For a fun present-day example, read en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Congo_Pygmies#Contemporary_issues_in_society. These guys aren't getting stronger any time soon.
>Sadly, the current demographic breakdown of Hollywood has white men at the top and everyone else clamoring for scraps.
Oh, it's Sup Forumsmblr.

Not that user, but I haven't watched it either.

Apparently the audio on the DVDs are pretty awful and I'm too much of a snob to watch subpar quality.

Some user claims to be working on the audio though, so I might get to see it one day.

i'm also too lazy to look for a rip

Wasn't she voiced by Lauren FREAKING Faust?

Oh shit, this existed? I thought this was some shit i made up as a kid, like Cool World.

MEGAS is the best one, and it's still awful. Sup Forums did it way better with cis-fire.

>voiced

No, Faust is an animator. Not a VA. She animated Sawyer.

Sawyer had two VAs. Neither were Faust.

>tfw when you realise sawyers voice actor was an old black woman

This movie is worth watching for its animation:
youtube.com/watch?v=PZto3dukFoI
Several aspects are done like a cartoon of the time it is set.

>dat courtney
All of my lels.

Cool World is real though.

Cute Sawyer sleeping on Hollys lap pics when?

/vp also did one.
And it was fucking glorious.
youtube.com/watch?v=nz_pbO9Rn28

>When your name is Sawyer and you hear people on the internet talking about fucking an animated female cat named after you

youtube.com/watch?v=e2IctxaCPqw

Does this make me a furry?

All of my wat.
Is that more or less how Oak sounds in the eng dub?

No.

yes

Like maybe just a little bit.

Did they eat the livestock?

Bump.

>whitewashing is real guys! It's not at all about money!

Sup Forumsumblr plz go, stay go.

Nice reference to Fantasia in the background clouds

Whitewashing was real in the setting of the movie, before the civil rights movement enabled minorities to exploit each other as well.

too many frilly undies

Oh certainly, not denying it's existence from a historical context.

I forget off the top of my head, but I assume that's longer than a cat lives for.

We're there any black people in this film? Were the animals literally a stand-in for blacks?

Not trying to start an argument, just curious

>Were the animals literally a stand-in for blacks?

More or less. And it's pretty obvious as to who/what Darla is an allegory for.

what

Maybe white actors who would pretend to like their fellow black actors but be just as, if even more racist to them.

I really liked the flood scene, it was hilarious.

Did you even watch the movie, what the fuck.

That wasn't the plot AT ALL

welp

>freaking
are you fucking 10?

>Sadly, the current demographic breakdown of Hollywood has white men at the top and everyone else clamoring for scraps.

Yes, good Goyim. The White Man is at the top all right. It has nothing to do with any (((other))) group.
