I thought it was going to be one of those brainiac wojacks. With all the scenery being made from his brain.

>tfw i thought that too

would have liked to seem him take over grey matters through madrigal or something. so many opportunities

Thirded, alt-clicked for nothing

> Walther was already a monster for all the things he has done so far up to that point on the series
> You need to make him look good one last time without redeeming him from his past actions
> Add the universally agreed on cartoon villains of the human race
> Walther looks like he's in real danger while making him fight the only people worse than him at the moment
> Die a broken "hero" but he's still a piece of shit regardless of him rescuing his old pal

Nazis are easy, instant villains in anyone's well adjusted mind.

the whole Grey Matter conspiracy would have been better than the nazi bullshit.

The whole idea is not making anyone but Walther the villain in the end. Adding a secret conspiracy with Gray Matter would've diminished the message of the whole series.

You can still do that with the Hank story arc, instead of nazis, have some big ass conglomerate hitmen murder him. Same impact.

the show should have never existed. waste of my fucking time

What conspiracy?

How the par rent company of Pollos Hermanos was actually a subsidiary of Grey Matter and Gretchen (and maybe Eliot) knew all along about Walt. The rest kind of writes itself.

That could've been good. Better than nazis at least.

There was so much they could have gone back to in the old seasons. Like how Gretchen was actually testing Walt's loyalty when she was offering up the money back in S1 etc. So much wasted opportunity.

Again, the idea of Breaking Bad was making Walther the real villain of circumstances happening because of his greed, insecurities and hunger for power and control over his shitty life. No one wanted to fuck him up and make him miserable, he a brought him to himself for choosing the easy way out after having a life of mediocrity despite having the talent to turn his life around. He did turn his life for the better, but was only after staining his reputation and morals by turning his talents to making drugs and poisoning others with chemicals concocted by him. It's not that hard, guys. He was never meant to be the drug lord hero that you should root for. The whole story is the classic "crime doesn't pay" message, you're not supposed to find anything Walther does cool or worthy of imitation and you see him slowly get into deeper shit because of what he did.

Should have had Russian Mafia guys come in to enforce the deal.

lol wtf show did you watch? Walt won at the end

You could have ALL that and MORE if you went with Grey matter. Pride is the greatest sin for a reason, because only those in very strong positions can commit it. He could have gone deeper and deeper into greed and revenge by trying to take down GM. The Nazi roles could have been done by hitmen in suits and sunglasses. Killing of Jessie's GF, Hank's murder etc, all could have gone down the same rout, all caused by Walt wanting to take down GM, blinded by his greed, pride and vengeance with total disregard for those around him.

Instead we got fucking Todd and his uncle able to outsmart him something even FUCKING GUS FRING wasn't able to do.

> Walther won in the end
> Wife hates him
> His son hates him and will always regard him as a criminal, the opposite of what he wanted him to remember as
> He killed a close family member of his wife and ruined a marriage
> There's no guarantee that the money he made will ever get handed to his family through Gray Matter like he planned
> His only partner in crime is a wanted man, he's mentally broken and was enslaved for months doing the thing he hated the most
> The cancer didn't go away and was going to kill him anyway
> Almost kills a kid just to get away with his bullshit
> Dies alone in the end and leaves nothing but shame behind him for his family
> He "won" in the end

Did you even paid attention while watching this?

>should of
Wew. Is that the level of stupidity this board has descended to? I know some moron will complain it's acting like a grammar Nazi, but "should of/would of/could of" is such an egregious mistake. It's not just misplacing a comma or not using capitalization. You literally have to be an utter mongoloid to make this mistake. It's unforgivable. Sort your shit out, OP.

He left money to his family is the whole point, you can pretend it didn't happen but it did.

>They’re going to walk away with just shy of 10 million in cash, because of Walt’s machinations with Gretchen (Jessica Hecht) and Elliott (Adam Godley). But on the other hand, the family emotionally is scarred forever. So it’s a real mixed message at the end. Walt has failed on so many levels, but he has managed to do the one thing he set out to do, which is a victory. He has managed to make his family financially sound in his absence, and that was really the only thing he set out to do in that first episode. So, mission accomplished.

Also the last scene is clearly meant to show that Walt is happy do die in a lab.

> Get investigated by the DEA
> Gray Matter wants nothing to do with a drug lord and hand the money to the authorities since they have no obligations with some random rich hobo that wanted to launder the money through them
> BUT, MUH ASSASSINS
> Gretchen and Eliot are filthy rich and move to another country to avoid said assassin, live in fear for a few years before they realize there's no one trying to kill them
> Walther's family are still poor because he spent every cent he had on bullshit, and all the cash he had was handed to Gray Matter

Just no, there's no way that money will ever be handed to Walthers family.
Gilligan always tried to reassure fans Walther is no a complete psycho and they he probably really is a good guy if he had the chance for redemption. He has many time said that the true ending was much somber and sad, but they always pulled the punches because they didn't want to offend "the viewers". He also always says hopeful things for characters that are obviously fucked like Jesse because that's what fans want to hear.

> He died happy on a lab

He didn't die happily, he just (ironically) died where he started: miserable in a lab.

Every comment in this thread is why you are losers typing on Sup Forums instead of creating anything.

>letting plebs watch your work

No, that's really stupid. Good writing isn't just "connecting" everything even when it doesn't make sense, the characters don't all have to be involved with each other. There's nothing in the show to suggest that Gray Matter would have any involvement whatsoever in the drug trade. And for fuck's sake they already had a whole conspiracy subplot with shady corporate financiers.

The Nazis weren't the best, but much better than your idea
