The Irishman

It's the first time in the past few years I've been excited about a film. Will it be kino?

considering the level of shit al pacino and deniro have put out for the past 20 or so years, no, i'm not excited. it's either going to be the best thing they've all done since the mid 90s, or it's going to be a massive failure

>Netflix Original

If you're expecting some classic scorscese crime drama prepare to be disappointed.

>Scorsese
>Joe Pesci
>Al Pacino
>Robert De Niro

This is guaranteed to be kino

> the Irishman
> cast full of wops

yea, just like righteous kill was guaranteed to be kino

oh....wait

>AYYYYY
>OHHHHH
>WASSAMADDA'CHU, CAN'CHA SEE IM DRINKIN MUH WHISKY OVAH HEER
>BRING-A DA POTATO STEW OVAH HEER
cant wait

>>AYYYYY
>>OHHHHH

seriously why italian americans do this?

italian immigrants are like that all over the world

because your mother is AYYY OHHHH

>netcux bought it
Not anymore.

>my_sides

righteous kill was directed by a literally who, this is directed by scorsese who's coming off one of his best movies

Being that close to Africa will make people adopt their loudmouthed animalistic idiosyncrasies

No it'll be typical yank glorifying of terrorists. That's why the Boston marathon bombs were funny, bit of payback for funding arms you "Irish" cunts.

scorsese is hit and miss, he doesn't do one great movie after another, it's usually one really good movie and then one ehh movie

it's going to be movie with good, quite ok, but entirely safe choices. Nothing risky, and only risk can get you a kino, so it won't be no masterpiece but quite ok movie, 6, maybe 7/10

no big hit on artistic level

There's a difference between pacino being in a scorsese film and being in a sandler film.

>netflix

maybe if it was the 80s or the 90s+

GO YANKEES

t. soyboy that got triggered over silence

>Will it be kino?
it will be Geriatrics Goodfellas with bad CGI.

pacino has never been in a scorsese movie

>he doesn't do one great movie after another

>Mean Streets, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, Taxi Driver
>Raging Bull, King of Comedy, After Hours
>Last Temptation of Christ, Goodfellas
>The Age of Innocence, Casino, Kundun, Bringing Out the Dead, Gangs of New York, The Aviator
>Hugo, Wolf of Wall Street, Silence

His best films come in bunches and he's been on a hot streak since Hugo. The movie's also written by Steven Zaillan who's got a pretty good track record and is also coming off The Night Of which was great.

Pacino and De Niro have been in shit because they've worked with bad directors. Scorsese has remained in top form, I'm sure he can get another great performance out of them.
Just like Silence was supposed to be disappointing and not one of Scorsese's best right?

Aged like shit: the movie

Is this a real movie or a parody of a parody of parody that everyone politely pretends is a real movie like The Departed?

No Leo is a good sign.

I said you'd be disappointed if you were expecting a classic mafia crime film. It's probably going to be great.

Why the fuck is Scorsese going back to generic gangstershit right after Silence? His gangster movies are his worst popular films.

SPOILER FOR THE CINEMATIC STYLE OF THE IRISHMAN:
>narration
>400+ f-bombs
>freeze frame
>tracking shots
>multiple wives
>new york city
THERE IT IS, I JUST SPARED YOU 2 HOURS OF YOUR LIVES.

holy shit, somebody give this guy gold. such epic observations, scorsese does do those things.

butthurt brit detected

The IRA didn't target civvies.

>netflix original

I know they are going to digitally de-age these old fucks but I can't imagine that it will look good. I mean, young Hopkins in Westworld was kind of ok, but these were only short flashbacks.

>narration
as far back as I remember, I always wanted to be a Netflix Original THE IRISHMAN
>rolling stones starts playing

>Netflix
No. It won't. Scorsese sold out and he's dead to me.

Sounds great.

Netflix is the only company making good content

Is this about Jimmy Coonan?
Would really enjoy Scorscese doing a movie about the Westies.

not one Hollywood studio wanted to finance it, they all refused Scorsese. All of them. He went to Netflix last because in this day and age they are among the few willing to take a risk over a costly project instead of betting everything on pre-established IPs.

You forgot the mandatory rolling stones soundtrack

>$0.02 has been deposited into your account

wtf I love you now

Don't forget Harvey Keitel

ITS NOT AL ANYMORE

>netflix
>good

shills pls go
