Now that it's happening who would Sup Forums like cast as Batgirl in her upcoming film?

>Batgirl of all fucking people is getting a movie

They'll churn out any shit these days, won't they?

Well she's has Red Hair in the DCEU, so it will have to be someone black, maybe that Nicky Majong person? She seems like woke teens like her.

Marie McCray

Who the fuck even asked for this?

The problem with these Sup Forums threads is that I don't follow any of today's actors so I don't know who anyone fucking is. Rather than talk about actors I'd much rather talk about what version of Batgirl I'd like to see adapted.

Personally, Babs was only ever good as Oracle, so I hope we get her and not whatever it was the DCYou did with her

WB is just throwing shit at the wall, hoping to see what sticks. I'm confident none of these recently announced movies will happen.

I think Anna Kendrick could do a pretty good job

no point in watching if it's about Babs

She was baiscally playing Babs personality wise in Castle already

Inevitable

Its going to be part of the Bella Thorne Hollywood take over

If they don't cast an Asian person, they're gonna be in a whole world of shit

>They'll churn out any shit these days, won't they?
It is not considered shit as long as the character is directly tied to Batman. At least, that's what Warner believes.

I'm still annoyed they wasted Alex Garner's beautiful covers on Batgirl considering she had some of the worst art.

>dark edgy DC verse
>Batgirl film

She's going to be like her All Star Batman version isn't she?

...

Agreed

Nicolas Cage.

She'll be doing porn before this project starts

Luxia Jiang

Am I missing something here?

Gotta cash in on that Nolan fame as long as they can. DC is STILL coasting on those shit movies.

Cassfags being delusional that the movie will be about her instead

...

Yeah, i'm pretty sure it's already confirmed that they're looking at Gail Simone's New52 Batgirl run for style and setting.

I get that the whole Batgirl thing since 2011 really stings for Cass and Steph fans, but i would just say give it up and accept that you lost this one.
At best, Whedon might have a Cass or Steph cameo, but i certainly don't see either him or WB go "yeah, that's what we need right now! Make a movie about a Batgirl that nobody outside one generation of comicbook fans knows about"

Right now, WB and DC needs to play it safe. They can't afford another convoluted mess like BvS or Suicide Squad, and when it comes to Batgirl, nobody says "playing it safe" more than how they've been promoting Babara Gordon as THE Batgirl in recent years.

Melissa McCarthy

>There are no movies about Cass and Steph because nobody knows who Steph and Cass are so a movie about them will sell so there are no movies about Cass and Steph...

I'm so tired of Babs because she's the worst Batgirl but normies don't even know anyone besides her.

Not to mention Hipster Batgirl is an insufferable rag written by fucking Cameron Stewart, feels like a Marvelcuck book.

fuuuug I just got done playing Arkham Knight a month ago and loved the Batgirl DLC. I used to not really care, preferred Catwoman, but now I want Batgirl to have her own game. And now she's getting her own bonerific movie? Sign me up faam.

You're beating a dead horse. This topic really died at the start of the New52, and as i said... Get over it.

I'm not even arguing in favor of Barbara Gordon or anything, but it's now almost a decade after Cassandra Cain was last active as Batgirl, and i really don't see what the point is in being stuck in a loophole logic like the one your describing.

Yes, DC and WB COULD have promoted Cassandra in cartoons and movies... but they didn't.
They COULD have made Stephanie the Batgirl in the cartoons and movies with Oracle as her mentor... But they didn't.

Cass fans in particular have always been disgruntled and whining about the mistreatment of their waifu by DC, and have hated the Babs/Batgirl and her fans with a passion long before DC decided to bring her back in that role... So ask yourself as a Cass fan; How that's been working out for you after like 15 years of that attitude?

>If you don't like shitty self-fulfilling prophecy logic you should just get over it.

>I'm not arguing in favor of one character over the other but you should stop caring about these characters.

>They haven't promoted these characters and that means they never can.

She's voiced Supergirl in the past so she's got some minor ties to the DC people.
I think it would be great to have her take up the part.

Why even dream there going to cast a nig nog none the less why even try and talk about this shit.

>Black Batgirl

Hnnng.

As i said, you're stuck in a loophole, because you can't accept that what you want to happen isn't happening.

When i say "Get over it" i'm not saying you should all stop caring about Steph or Cass, but that you accept the reality of the situation.

WB/DC clearly made up their minds when it comes to the role of Batgirl, and any attempt to change their minds by fans have been brushed off.

Hell, if it had been up to me, i would have promoted Stephanie Brown as Batgirl, because i felt like the whole set-up there was near-perfect. Old Batgirl training new Batgirl. New Batgirl looking like a modernized version of the old one, and not some ghoulish thing with stitches and all. I was no fan of the Cass Batgirl costume design, and felt like Stephanie had the best of both worlds...

But you know, i got over it. I don't like it, but i got over it.
Now when i hear the news about a Batgirl movie, i simply expect it to be Barbara Gordon, and i don't get my hopes up, knowing they will never deliver on that.

You know that her DCEU dad is white, right?

wish they'd at least cast someone who is in her early 20s instead of her mid 30s

>Why does a Bat costume look so ghoulish, lol it should look modern and trendy. It's like she's trying to scare criminals or something.

Stephfags, everyone.

>Misquoting people to fit your own narrative

Strawmen, everyone.

Cassandra Cain looks darker and more ghoulish than Batman. Making The dark knight himself look somewhat like a cheerful chum in the old grey and blue. Stephanie's Batgirl costume simply felt more in line with designs like those of Batman, Nightwing, and the Batgirl legacy.

Also, nice to see Cassfags are always angry and hating on the other Batgirl fanbases for no reason other than "My waifu > Your waifu".

Knowing DC's track record with female casting it will be a some fridge who's not even a ginger.

I would've gone with as well.

Emily Blunt

Don't tell me, Batman is going to make a "cameo" on it aka Batman movie with some Batgirl here and there

>Don't tell me, Batman is going to make a "cameo" on it aka Batman movie with some Batgirl here and there
Are you crazy? Of COURSE Batman would cameo. What is the point of a Batman Extended Universe otherwise?

I mean, Batgirl was never going to be an independent superhero. She is a derivative character much like the numerous Spider-women are. Trying to take Batman out of Batgirl is as crazy as taking Spider-man out of Venom...
Er.... You know what I meant.

>casuals acting like Batgirl isn't an important and popular part of the DCU
