USS Callister

Will the upcoming episode of Black Mirror season 4 entitled "USS Callister" be any good?

Will it be better than STD and The Orville?

WE WUZ KANGZ AND SHEEIT NIGGA!

>fucking Jimmy is in it
I'm pumped

It's probably about how the Star Trek utopia would suck to live in. Everybody is lonely because they all spend time in holodecks or something like that.

...

wow Todd realy made it well for himself after he stopped selling that blu blu

>Alien is just a humanoid with blue skin

Barcley would be thriving, but noooooooo all the normies are sad, fuck them.

Welcome to star trek.

Here's the episode trailer:

>fucking Jimmy is in it

>obvious parody/homage/satire of early star trek
>herpity derp
enjoy the (You)

nah it will be about white commander oppressing his subordinates.

hey it's my snaggletooth waifu!

Considering the obvious Star Trek shit and the ridiculous bad guy they find in the desert, this is a game/simulation.

I just don't know how it'll be twisted into something bad and horrifying. Especially considering they've already had their videogame episode.

Maybe it's a "die in game die in real life" scenario where the Captain starts killing players because he's bored. Something about lost of empathy for your human other because videogames are too realistic these days.

This looks shit

>Hurr durr Captain was a pedo all along
>Hurr durr our lives are so empty and meaningless

The Starfleet logo looks like a butt.

That would make sense. Star Trek has always celebrated the lives of the top brass. If you're one of the grunts it would probably be boring as fuck, + your friends dying because the captain wanted some alien pussy.

>your friends dying because the captain wanted some alien pussy.
Hip Hip hooray

WHAT DID YOU MEAN BY THIS? JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE THEMES OF THE EPISODE IT MEANS ITS SHIT? DIE
DIE
DIE
DIE
DIE RETRAD

Looks comfy

What is this? Looks like complete shit.

The Orville is surprisingly good

Well, it's pretty obvious that everyone is made out to be kind of smarmy. The trailer looks like everything people expected The Orville to be like. So I'm just left guessing at the whole Black Mirror angle. There are no happy endings in Black Mirror, and the entire point of Black Mirror is the social impact of information technology. So where does information technology come in?

The entire run of Deep Space 9 was a rebuttal to the TNG image of the top brass of the fleet's flagship going on a cruise.

Please it's either bashing conservative values or making fart jokes

Alright so you've never seen an episode. Pic related it's you

Good contender for my S4 waifu. Who were your S1, S2, and S3 waifus?

Also, lol at Meth Damon.

>Steps on Bridge
>*BARRRP*

When did The Orville argue against conservative values?

looks like porn

Which is kinda dumb because STNG is an exploration mission and DS9 is all about keeping the peace between races near a black hole.

It really doesn't, there's one throw away line about how as civilizations advance in technology they tend to grow less religious, which as we can see in our own society as true. There's one episode where they visit a theocracy keeping it's citizens in the dark about their existence but that's more how religion can be manipulated by evil men. The Krill are religious militants but their religion is shown to have a positive impact on the Krill themselves. Also ISIS exists so like, religious fanatics exist.

No it's not, negro. The entire point is that the Enterprise "fixes" a problem in one episode, and then blasts off into the unknown. Which is exactly what happens in the pilot episode of DS9. The crew has to solve long-term problems with less resources, more involvement of locals, and a significant civilian population hanging out around them. It takes all the question marks people put next to TNG, and examines them.
