Hey user, i would like to remind you something:
You are the most talented, most interesting, and most extraordinary person in the universe. And you are capable of amazing things. Because you are the Special.
And so am I. And so is everyone.
Hey user, i would like to remind you something:
You are the most talented, most interesting, and most extraordinary person in the universe. And you are capable of amazing things. Because you are the Special.
And so am I. And so is everyone.
When everyone is special, no one is.
emmet is a wonderful lego person
Danes vs Yanks in a nutshell, really.
I need you to know something before I go. You're special. And this world can be very hard on special things. They'll pick on you, hit you, they'll dump you, diagnose you and develop you. And there will be days where you'll wish everyone was like you so that everything could be easy. But that's how they think. They spend every day wishing everyone was the same, and it's that wish that keeps them from being special. So when they come for you with their knives out you just smile and forgive them.
Because ordinary things say hello and goodbye. But nothing that's special can ever die.
...
And if everyone is special, no one will be
Legit made me cry in the theatre
What makes something special is that you believe it's special.
At some point in your life someone has gotten off to thoughts of you.
No matter how ugly or disgusting you might think you are, someone came while thinking of you.
You don't get it at all.
It brought me to tears right now, what the fuck am I doing with my life?

Disney BTFO WB AGAIN
Wubalubadubdub
That...actually made me feel a bit better oddly enough. Its been a rough day otherwise. Thanks friendo
It's never as bad as it seems.
Emmet thanks for the pep talk but I know that is a whole load of shit.
Only if you're female, tho.
It doesn't have to be a load of shit. You feel like you are exempt because you've conditioned yourself to push away encouragement, even subconsciously. But know that no matter how much you lie to yourself or how much your mind lies to you about it, it stays true. You are special, and there's only one of you.
Just so long as you don't go thinking of yourself as a genius or an artist. Not everyone can be a genius or an artist. But you're special nonetheless.
But it's still pretty fucking bad.
Special doesn't necessarily mean good, either.
You could be the only person with natural blue hair, that makes you special. But can't compare to a doctor, or a talented musician, or a superhero. And since anyone could just dye their hair blue, the thing that makes you special is meaningless.
Come on buddy don't think that way.
Every color is special so does that mean they're all the same? Nope.
That doesn't make sense.
How can EVERY person be the MOST something.
It's like saying I'm the fastest runner, and we all are the fastest runner. In which Usain Bolt would go "Nah I call BS legoman I'll race ya".
Everyone is special, Dash.
The reason I love The Incredibles is what is says about the "everyone is special" bullshit. No screenwriter believes this. It just gets written into movies and TV because it makes people feel good and spend more money. Its ubiquity gives the illusion of truth, but the Truth is that statistics/tautology indicates that you are almost definitely not extraordinary. So what's better, lying to yourself, or growing the fuck up and being happy with your real-life circumstances?
Everyone IS special.
If you sit down and talk to a person you'd find that they all have fascinating stories.
For example:
This old guy that frequented the cafe my mom was working in, had a father that was murdered by Al Capone's gang when he was just a teen. After, he took boxing so he could beat up any mafia if he ever saw one.
Another example - my bus driver who i thought was a totally ordinary guy was a vietnam vet. The dude was super emotional and personal and one of the kids found out he actually killed 2 people.
There's no special color.
Although maybe you can argue that the primaries are special. If someone chooses black or white as their favorite colour you bet they're trying to be special.
That's two guys. You must have talked to plenty of people that didn't have an unusual traumatic past or extraordinary skill.
>You must have talked to plenty of people that didn't have an unusual traumatic past or extraordinary skill.
They dont have to have a traumatic past or super talent to be special.
35 year old single mom putting herself navy and then going to college
Youngsters starting their own companies
Junkie learning to quit drugs.
Life is fucking insane and everybody tackles it their own way.
Everyone is the main character in their own story.
>not saying if you work hard you can be something great
>just telling kids they deserve greatness handed to them on a plate
Going to create a lot of narcissistic whiners
Confirmation/selection bias. A guy is related to a guy that was killed by one of the most prolific killers. Another guy of a certain age was drafted into a war that a huge number of men his age participated in, and a huge percentage of them killed people and got PTSD.
Sorry, everyone might have a story, but it doesn't make it extraordinary. And I assume those were the most special people you could think of out of the thousands you've ever interacted with.
There are lots of special colors. Believe it or not, physics plays favorites.
This is just to do with the energy in the photons which determines the colour in the first place
It's what Mr. Rogers did.
You gonna shit talk Mr. Rogers, user?
Mr rogers can suck my cock
No, you are a photon!
A neutron walks into a bar
BRAIN BLAST!
Color IS energy, silly. It's wavelength of electromagnetic radiation. And though many mechanisms of light (such as blackbody radiation) are merely a curve based on intensity for which no particular wavelength or spectrum range is inherently significant (visible light is only significant because out particular sun gives off the most EM radiation in that wavelength, resulting in most organisms evolving to detect it), nonetheless there are other, more atomic behavior which results in particular wavelengths being favored.
Just like there are important transcendental numbers in mathematics, there are important colors in physics.
I mean I'm special because I was in special ed
I don't know about you fuckers though.
I think the lesson is supposed to be that there is the potential for greatness inside of anyone. That you don't have to come from a great family or country to achieve greatness, that greatness is what you make of it.
Nigga, no one is special, fucking no one, that's not a bad thing, why do people that need some kind of validation for their lives? Just being alive should be enough
You're rude.
Everybody is the main character of their own story user, each person is unique, has their own dreams and aspirations, is an entire world in itself and carry a vision of reality that isnt exactly shared by anyone else.
The mundane is also fantastic or extraordinary. Like this nigga said
>Sorry, everyone might have a story, but it doesn't make it extraordinary.
By whose values? Everyone has a their own judgement and will respond to you differently.
Mr. Blue Hair over here might not be particularly special to a policeman or a cab driver but he'll probably get a hell of a lot of attention from someone who works with biology or pigmentation.
The universe doesn't give a shit if your solving math equations or cleaning up trash. Your value is going to be measured by you and those around you.
