>Character gets sad
>Drowns his/her sorrows in food or sweets

In addition,
>character gets depressed or drunk
>grows shadow facial hair for that one scene

>Character gets injured in a slapsticky way.
>Their injuries stay for the rest of the episode.

>Cute character is an asshole to the MC when no one else is looking

>Toph do nothing wrong
>Suyin does because she is weak
>Lin is coo tho because she is mean and red pilled

I like earthbenders/metalbenders the most. The point is that their social structure is garbage.

"Evil" character shown to be very caring and sweet.

>Team or group is filled with overconfident assholes
>They all get demolished by a single person in a fight

>Character gets drunk on milk

>Show is very heavy in slapstick and comedic injuries
>EVERYONE is in the receiving end of it, even the female characters

>This video was really fucking adorable.

>Evil villain has a picture of his Mom on his desk

>character calls for mom while dying

>Their mom is dead, and they know it.

>character walks into room
>pauses
>sees/hears something they don't like
>walks back out of room

>Last person be like "Nigga fuck this shit I ain't dying" and walks away.

>The whole conflict between the hero and the villain was a ploy by a greater threat who turns out to be the true final boss.

>Good characters do something completely horrible for reasons you can sympathize with.

>Last person be like "Nigga fuck this shit I ain't dying" and walks away.
>Is shown to have survived at the end.

Not Sup Forums but that was my favorite part of Scream 2.

>It's a crossover episode
>Villains from both series team up and become best friends
>They become a near-unstoppable threat
>Heroes from both series have to work together to take them down

>One/all but one of the characters run off at the first sign of trouble.
>They aren't show again until the next episode.

Not one I love but one that always makes me feel
>side character befriends MC
>mostly one-sided, MC doesn't care for it but tolerates it
>side character pushes MC over the edge, MC yells at them
>side character tells MC they were the only one nice to them or only good thing in their life, runs away
>MC feels like shit and apologizes, sometimes having to save them first

>good character has the guts to do something horrible that needs to be done
Hate when they have to be a spineless goody two shoes and put shit in further danger trying to find peaceful solutions for people who don't deserve them

>Average day in the life of the villain
>Gets out of bed and stubs their toe
>Gets stuck in traffic
>can't find items in the grocery store
>End of the day the hero comes in and wrecks his day when all he wanted to do was relax

>Climax of the story
>Opening theme starts playing

This and any fun playing around with the theme song is always great. Anyone got any really good examples of this trope? Posting what I can think of off the top of my head.

Fuck, it always makes me sad to see characters eat and cry

Looking at you 4Kids

>Act natural!

>villain puts aside their differences with the hero to give them helpful advice

>tfw this happens to you and next thing you know it's been three months and you're exiting the blackout and entering the hangover and you have a caveman beard
There's entire months of my life I don't remember. I still don't know how I graduated college.

>"It's going to be a while for [thing] to happen."
>"We'll just have to wait until it happens, then."
>time lapse of all the seasons
>"The past three days sure had some crazy weather, huh?"

>"It's a good thing we had these fake beards to keep our faces warm!"

>picture is just the evil villain with a wig on

>Character sees something unusual
>Pours out their drink, regardless if it's actually alcohol or not.

>Character sees something unusual
>Goes out of their way to grab a drink to do a spit take

"Fake beard after supposed time lapse" is one of my favorites.

>minion knows when to fold

>character acknowledges that their outfit never changes
>shot of their closet with multiple copies of the same shirt/pants
>character makes a big deal about having to wear a different outfit/give up their usual outfit

>Something horrific happens on the news/live broadcast
>They cut to a "Technical Difficulties" image
>The sound of the event is still being broadcast
>Bonus points if the music is "Theme to A Summer's Place"

Alternatively:
>Something comical happens to the character on screen
>Cuts to "We'll be right back", etc, usually a pun with a comical image

>main guy and girl character have obvious crush on each other
>too autistic to notice, too awkward to say anything
>supporting cast/mutual friends constantly set them up and visibly REEEEEEEE when the autism destroys their plan

>those grocery bags don't have a baguette sticking out of them

What manner of witchcraft is this? There's ALWAYS a baguette sticking out when a character buys groceries. ALWAYS.

And a celery stalk

>MC kills an opponent they respect a lot
>someone nearby wants to do something to the body
>MC: Don't touch him. Let him just rest in piece.

>villain is smart enough to treat their underlings well instead of constantly mistreating them and risking an eventual betrayal

>Villain actually cares about his minions
>Knows all their names, gives them days off, throws them birthday parties
>Flips his fucking lid if the hero kills one of them

You thinking of that scene in batman beyond where the AI gets age regressed out of existence.

>that Gravity Falls one

Fuck no, I hate this trope with a passion.

>The crazy character with harebrained schemes and attacks
>Legitimately the only person having fun with everything
>Becomes a nightmare to deal with once they serious up

Why are these characters so good?

best trope

>It's a food episode

>They make the food look Fucking delicious

Episode?

It's that Batwoman movie.

>Side character you always see in the background suddenly becomes relevant

Thanks man.

>>Time Travel Episode

>Younger and Older version standing right next to each other as if Nothing will happen

slappy or whatever his face is from the one episode of imaginery friends wasn't cute

>It's a Fetish episode

>It's YOUR Fetish

Better yet

>This episode is responsible for giving you this fetish

Love this one, especially if they are otherwise competent and loyal but know when trying to be the hero will just get thier ass kicked.

>the fetish enhances each time you see an animation featuring something similar or the same in a different cartoon.

And that's the story of how I got a tg fetish.

>Episode gives me a fetish
>My fetish isn't as extreme as what the show goes to, and what many who got a fetish from it go to
>The exception is when watching the episode itself, as if it were a nostalgia fap

Name them anons.

I'm the latter post. Passion Patties. Was the nudge I needed to realize I like weight gain and THICC, but obviously not to the extent it's at by the end. I just like a little extra. The hottest part of the episode is this right here, but if I actually sit down and watch it I can just fap to a lot of scenes out of nostalgia.

Let me think...

pokemon (crossdressing, bodyswap, age progression, transformation)
digimon the movie (age regression)
yugioh (hypnosis, magical girl, blondes)
sailor moon (magic powers, magical girls, hypnosis?)
Alice in wonderland (girly girls, poofy dresses, and of course tiny/giant girls)
Cinderella (princessification)
bartok (breast enlargement)
fairy odd parents (tg, ageplay, hypnosis, magic, purification age regression, age progression)

I got a playboy bunny outfit and pantyhose/tights fetish from a cartoon I think I proberbly missed some stuff.

Someone needs to make a list every cartoon/anime that has fetish material and list each fetish contained in said show

>MC gives villain a chance to repent
>Villain says something snarky
>MC calmly removes glasses/cracks knuckles/takes deep breathe
>One hit finishers the villain.

that one scene from flcl

I only like it if its backed by the anyagonist having feelings towards the protaganist.

and zelda

...

>"Who the hell is into Civil War history anyway? Other than old white guys."
>then pic related happens

Forgot image.

>characters are a good distance apart, shouting loudly at each other and misunderstanding every other thing that's said

The bits that do this in Mo Job from PPG and the episode of Monk where he's on a jury are some of my favorite scenes of anything.

Worlds Collide really was a gift.

>protagonist is an actual criminal and wasn't just framed, but still manages to be sympathetic

Every instance of a female character being tied up, barefoot or tickled.

>Episode has your fetish
>It's performed on the male character.

Has this actually happened? If yes name pls.

>Villain character seen doing something really mundane like shopping for groceries
>Hero freaks out
>"Relax, I'm not on the clock"

Something about the "I'm just doing my job" villain always fills me with joy

>Main character about to get killed
>Main villain/rival suddenly pops in out of nowhere
>Nobody kills main character except me!
>Proceeds to beat the shit out of other villain
youtube.com/watch?v=HJJuv59Ci-o

Anytime a villain goes up against a bigger villain in general.

>It's a "one of the heros turn evil and the rest of the team has to defeat him/her" episode.
>Bonus if the villain teams up with them.

Lighthearted and comedic villains that don't pause for a second when presented with the chance to kill their mortal enemy.

Also

>villain is in downtime in a casual bathrobe, newspaper in hand, drinking a coffee and have glasses on
>they still have their fucking outfit in under the robe/glasses.

I always request stuff like this in drawthreads, but if it isn't sexual you might as well not bother.

All I want is to see a villain at the laundromat or something.

>The fetish stuff happens primarily to the cutest/most attractive characters.

>Mama. I'm coming home.

Every time.

>boys vs. girls episode
>ends in a draw

>It's a girl power episode
>Girl group is cocky the entire episode
>The boys absolutely destroy them

Oh I know just what you're talking about

Because they're a mood setter. Having the story to be serious always gives a feeling of apathy to be public, so showing someone having fun with everything lightens the mood and demonstrates how there are different perspectives, which adds realism.

>lighthearted show gets serious in a non-ironic way.

>they're completely incompetent at being evil

>Character dies in an absurdly brutal way
>Next scene/episode, they're perfectly fine.

>characters swap their bodies
>the bodies keep their VAs for some great impersonations

>Sam & Ralph bits from Looney Tunes
>Both the sheepdog and coyote are just on their day job
Love it to bits

>Threatening/scary characters are actually really sweet, sympathetic and are good with kids

Sorry user for ruining you ideas with terrible art.

youtube.com/watch?v=qMldEs0rf8o

>Hero refers to villain by real name instead of code name/nickname

>Character says something bizarre
>Later, a different character says the exact same thing

> They have the same outfits categorized for every day of the week

I need examples

>Character is referred to by a nickname throughout the series
>Character doesn't respond when called by their real name

>4th wall jokes in the middle of action sequences
>the characters just acknowledge them and move on as if nothing happened
I will never not love this
