I seriously tried to hate The Room now that it's normie but I just can't. I watched it for the 100th time and it still puts a goofy smile on my face. I don't care if it makes me a normie I will always love The Room.

Can you rise above the conceptions of society?

hello doggy

It's "Hi doggie" you unbelievable pleb.

they ruin everything

its ok as long as you hate the franco movie

that is quite the enjoyable story marco

I thought it was okay but I thought Franco was a bad Wiseau.

i thought the acting was pretty cheesy as if it were a drama, but the film really makes no attempt to make any of the characters sympathetic. tommy is outright made fun of constantly and greg is portrayed as chronically nervous and doesn't reflect the greg sistero we saw in the room, who was arguably one of the best actors on set.

the movie made it seem like greg was on board right away and not really being very critical of tommy's writing and directing decisions, but in the book he describes trying to convince him to make changes, and refusing the lead role for a long time despite tommy's insistence he take it.

and all the humor was directly from the film, like there wasn't anything funny in the movie that was original, it was just like "remember this funny part in the room? how about this part?"

so it was fun just because i like the room so much, but as a film it was mediocre at best.

Seriously, I was the other way around. I loved Tommy but I fucking hated Dave Franco’s Greg Sestero. Not only does he barely have any resemblance, but he acted nothing like him. He basically was just playing himself with blonde dye and mattress stuffing glued to his face.

>all the humor was directly from the film

When Tommy saw Greg playing football with kids and bantered about all of Greg's friends being kids and then when Greg's mom sarcastically said she was 14 and Tommy wished her happy birthday was funny.

Any time I rewatch The Room now I’m going to be saddened by Nathan not playing Peter the Psychologist

Do normalfags really watch the room? I'm not saying they don't know it, but i seriously doubt any normal would sit trough all of it.

Not only that but
>cast Dave Franco’s wife as Greg’s girlfriend in it too
>her entire purpose is just to create some tension between Tommy and Greg, then she just disappears

it's become somewhat trendy. i used to bring it up and get wtf reactions but now people will say that they've seen it or heard of it.

1313 films on the other hand ...

i don't know how you could not enjoy The Room. it's the most bonkers thing i have ever seen that wasn't intended to be bonkers. wiseau is a fucking alien.

My main issue was I don't think Franco nailed Wiseau's acting. Off screen sure he seemed like Wiseau from the interviews and in theater appearances I've seen but when he was playing Wiseau acting he was just off. Like Wiseau gives 110 percent and fails miserably and that's why you can't take your eyes off of him. But Franco just played it like Wiseau is flat and that's why he's bad.

Last night someone on here linked to pictures Tommy Wiseau has been posting of people who are screenings of The Room for the first time and they don't look like the sort of people I'm used to seeing at screenings.

The Room has been normie for the entire decade. Anyone who's spent time on a college campus knows about it.

That being said, hearing Ben Shapiro talk about having just watched it and imagining a guy like that taking in the sex scenes is pretty funny.

I remember it being pretty normie 7 years ago when I watched it. at least among your pop-nerd "cake is a lie xD" types.

all of the scenes with Greg getting to know Tommy after meeting him are pretty funny. especially when he says bye to his mom.

desu when the cast was announced I was praying that Nathan would play the guy who gets his dick sucked while eating chocolate

To be fair that’s LA which is immensely Hollywood obsessed. If you see Normies at Room screenings outside of NYC and LA then it’s fallen into Normiecore.

I doubt Chad and Stacy in Texas care much about a so bad it’s good movie.

>seriously tried to hate The Room now that it's normie

why. if something is good, then it's good, what other pricks think of it shouldn't matter.

The "Me Underwears" character was severely underused in The Disaster Artist.

Samurai Cop is the true underappreciated kino for patricians.

>My main issue was I don't think Franco nailed Wiseau's acting

when they had the side-by-side shots at the end, franco completely mirrored wiseau's movements and intonation. the only thing franco got wrong was that his tommy face expression always looks like he's just about to cry.

I was bothered that they didn’t mention the utter bizarreness in the plot of having Lisa’s friend and her boyfriend sneak into Tommy’s apartment to screw.

Like no mentioned at all at how the top half of The Room is just those softcore porn scenes and how they reuse footage of Tommy banging Lisa’s Belly Button.

I know, the chocolate scene would have been a great one to include during the credits

>Samurai Cop
>not Miami Connection
