Honestly this pilot isn't anything special but there's a bunch of potential illustrated what the creators have also done:
Amalia Levari wrote the outlines to every OtGW epsiode with McHale and Herpich and would go on to be an outline writer for Harvey Beaks
meanwhile, Dominic Bisignano (a former writer/boarder for Fish Hooks and Uncle Grandpa, though that's not as noteworthy) would become the Creative Director on Star Vs and along with Aaron Hammersley is responsible for the shift in tone from season 1 to season 2
