How is the fucking spin off much more successful than the original show?

How is the fucking spin off much more successful than the original show?

Mariska bae

Early SVU was kino but when Meloni left it went down hill

OG will always be #1
SVU fanbois get raeped

Because fuck the patriarchy. Fuck white males. Listen and believe.

Hasn't SVU been going on longer?

Because it's literally about rape and sex.
But they don't come close to based McCoy and Briscoe.

homicide blows this out of the water

this
Stabler and Benson were OK but nothing beats Jerry Orbach and Jack McCoy

SVU went really down hill when they let the Mexican guy on and dont call me racist but this guy absolutely ruined the show.

Some post the meme with svu plots

> arc #5 where olivia doesn't get raped but acts like it
I want this show to end ten years ago

Homicide is a completely different class of television show. Law and Order is just a police procedural, Homicide is a deep exploration of the psychological and social impact of violent crime on the people whose job it is to investigate it.

Dick Wolf even knew that Homicide was the better show, he was very good friends with Tom Fontana, who created Homicide (as well as Oz btw) and he even named Dennis Farina's character on L&O after Fontana. He also set up a number of crossover episodes between L&O and Homicide in order to boost that show's ratings.

Wasnt the other L&O spin off essentially trying to copy Homicide? Criminal Intent right?

I think its down to the fact the main characters on SVU get more in depth development versus the minimal development on L&O. Also, SVU episodes get wild way more than L&O and all the kino moments came early on so fans just stuck around.

What I don't understand is how Criminal Intent is still popular

That would be like comparing NYPD Blue to CSI or something

I had no idea CI was still airing I thought SVU was the only one remaining

>Its an "Olivia is afraid of the darkness inside of her because her father was a rapist" episode

because people are obsessed with rape. the original isnt exactly high art but it's so much better than this shit

>Its an "Stabler gets angry and almost blows the case episode"

sex sells

It isnt but its looking like it may be revived soon. It has a strong fanbase than SVU and is doing well syndication apparently

>Its a "Captain Cragan takes an old case personally" episode

>it's a Stabler has two minutes with the suspect in the interrogation room with cameras off episode

>Its a "Stabler throws something down in anger and storms out" episode

Its always funny because you know Olivia has to pick that shit up

>Its a "Munch drops red pills episode"

>Its a "Stabler calls Huang a quack" episode

>it's a Novak episode

More, pls.

criminal intent is the best

Benson and Stabler had a great dynamic

These 2 not so much

Best girl

This, it fucking have SEX in the title, its enough to lure mere mortals

All my this

I'll post the whole thing

Both him and his subplot took SVU down

There's no SEX in the title

>SVU fanbois get raeped

is there an episode about this?

Green and Fontana>green and briscoe >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> everyone else

>SVU fanbois get raeped
that's their fetish, why do you think they like this show so much?

GO HOME GAMER GURRRRRRL

>The quirky annoying lab guy is actually a master mind serial killer

Im sorry what?

why was stabler so angry?

yeah pretty much
a pale comparison

Post-Stabler episodes were an improvement over Speed Weed until this asshole showed up. Everything after they introduced him is complete shit.

Lenny Briscoe > *
fite me

*gets cleared for another shooting*

*Beats a man near death*

THATS IT STABLER I WANT YOUR GUN AND YOUR BADGE

*gets it back by the end of the episode*

Irish Americans are basically niggers.

>here come the Men In Black

>Its a Casey loses a case" episode

I wouldnt be surprised to find out she's handed the most plea deals and had lowest conviction rate in the L&O universe

are these real

Literally kino tier whenever an episode focused on Munch.

>it's a "I'll never fuck Casey" episode

Why must she torture me?

>Also, SVU episodes get wild way more
This is basically it.

It's drama appeal. All flash no substance.

Also a great propaganda vehicle.
> it's an episode about videogames

WHERE AR UR PANTS BB :^)

She is longest running of the series and has the most convictions. you can look up the ada's on the wiki. Cabot is just behind her.

>" the video and pictures of the underage orgy have been viraled on redchan and other child porn sites"
> the same episode turns into an anti vaxer hit peice

Teenage daughter

It was theorized he was a hidden pedophile and taking it out on other pedophiles.

> casey gets disbarred for witness tampering
>Cabot goes off to Africa to get raped with AIDS

The spic was essentially Stabler expect if Stabler actually got in trouble for once.

The episode 'Rage' is unironically kino.

That's a great episode.

Was I the only one that felt the sexual tension?

No that guy was alright

This bitch is the one who ruined the show

>All flash no substance.

There were some great fucking episodes between season 2 and 7. Id rate some of them to be up there with the classical seasons (1-4) of L&O

>it's a /ss/ episode

I wish Stabler would come back for a storyline like Dean Winters occasionally does

blue balls from benson

>it's a stabler and benson almost fug episode

>it's a Carisi gets cucked episode

>This bitch is the one who ruined the show
>that one episode where she entraps someone, leaks the video to the press and only gets off with a warning from Olivia

Any other cop would have been fired 5 times over with the shits she pulled

I fucking HATE how Olivia's character has changed from questioning rape accusers -- or at least being open to the idea of such accusations being false -- to blindly believing all rape accusations and yelling at anyone who doesn't.

She's an annoying character, anyway, but that change is so dumb.

I may be remembering wrong but when Cabot was ADA, didn't she play as someone who raped a male stripper?

I know but its pretty much in line with how people are today. The people that watch the show now are new fans who started watching post-Stabler and have a strong presence so they lean towards them. What hurts Olivia the most is that they never replaced Stabler. What I loved about early SVU is that Olivia and Stabler sometimes worked solo or worked with other people. Olivia has to be in every episode now and Rollins, Carisi and Fin can't carry episodes on their own.

That was Casey before she was Casey.

she questioned one in the last episode. Actually felt sorry for the rapist in that episode desu.

Well, fair to them. I haven't watched the show in years because the quality had dropped.

Still, by and large from what I saw, that was the character switch of hers before I stopped watching.

That was Novak not Cabot. She raped a guy, was convicted of it and then turned her life around and became assistant district attorney less than 3 years later. Really an inspirational life story

I know, I was referring to the posts I quoted when it came to the rapist.

Why don't people liker her?

This combined with an entirely female audience and their collective rape fantasy

OG > Criminal Intent > SVU

OG > SVU > TC > TBJ > LA > CI

I like her, best girl imo

>Not liking Goren

The shame

Sex sells

>Goren

He and his partener are alight but the jew captain and Mike Logan and the show in general are terrible.

>yfw that is Bobby Flay's wife

I would make sweet gentle love to her

It's the characters that make this show.
>it's dude sex lmao
No, it isn't.
>ywn go on the beat with Munch

...

what episode was the one where stabler beat up a guy

>Six-year-old girl. Promoted to manager, then forced to fire herself right before Christmas.
What the fuck was their problem?

rape, pedophilia and serial killers are why most people tune into cop shows. Those episodes are always the best, most intense and the pay off is worth. Your run of the mill murder mystery among friends or gangsters can get boring, and story arcs about the cops can get boring too
New SVU is crap though, older seasons that actually focused on sex crimes were GOAT, new episodes of Olivia Benson: wonder womyn giving the
>jesus christ..really?
look almost directly at the camera while everything she says and does is perfect compared to everyone else is the worst. The show has done a total 180 in quality

that was an entire season

fucking this 100%. I actually liked her in the earlier seasons and used her as an example of what a real strong female character is, but without stabler, munch, casey or Cragen to keep her in check she gets too self important

NCIS is a far better example of OP's point

>In the criminal justice system, SEXually based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories.

>that was an entire season

>What I don't understand is how Criminal Intent is still popular
because it focused as much on the criminals and their reaction to the investigation as it did on the cops

also CI had the best recurring villains and eventually got Jeff Goldblum on the payroll

It was till he impregnated January Jones.

>That old bio show of how they got together, she told bobby flay they should get takeout on a date

>Flay's face when

The food network used to have gems

>he doesn't like Logan and the Rabbi

she was pretty shit earlier too. Hartigay is a terrible actress. Flat as board and too smug. Shes literally pepe incarnate, thats why she'll stay on this show forever. I still cringe at some of her lines in the shows glory days, like the one where she dated a reporter that used her to get more stories
>I arrested a man that abuses women
>a man like you dave...a man like you
