What is the REAL reason you hate Ashi, user?

What is the REAL reason you hate Ashi, user?

You claim it's because she's a waste of episodes but is it something....more?

Is it because Jack will finally get la-...Oh that's it, isn't it? You could relate with Jack with his suffering and misery as he was alone like YOU but this Ashi thing is just too much for you to handle..

50 years worth of his precious seed flowing through Ashi's womb is killing your soul, Jack and Ashi's relationship is causing you more suffering and pain, since he isn't alone and miserable anymore

It's YOU that will be.

Yes, yes, your look exposes it all, we all see the truth now, user. We all know now...

N-no
Ashit is a ashit character and is has a bad VA. Also, Jack is suposed to be celibate because he is like a monk.

No chainsaw mouth Jack, I actually like Ashi, especially after this last episode. I can sympathize with her taking up time in an incredibly short conclusion series though.

Im ready for the porn, but if Jack is in it I'm out. It's not that I'm jelly of Jack, it's just that it kills my immersion. Same with One Piece porn. If Luffy is involved in any way it ruined because it's so out of character for him

I'm going to be so fucking pissed if they don't bone, or at the very least kiss. JASHI FOREVER!

The answers may not surprise you

Blue jack you're scaring me

I hate women and romance.

It's because we all know Aku will murder her in the end, simply to hurt the Samurai, and seeing them happy together first will hurt us if we let it in.

It's mostly because of the voice actress, but it's also the character design (she looks like a monkey) and the writing (she doesn't speak like a brainwashed cultist, she speaks like a straw-man)

>and the writing (she doesn't speak like a brainwashed cultist, she speaks like a straw-man)
this is fucking Samurai Jack
do real life Scotsmen speak like The Scotsman does?

She's not consistent
She could have thrashed around while jack was carrying them above the acid lake to make them fall, but then nearly attempts to kill him on the island

>She could have thrashed around while jack was carrying them above the acid lake to make them fall
but she didn't, slowly growing attached to Jack

How the fuck does it "kill immersion?" There was never any immersion to begin with! Jack has gone through far more than any average person irl, and for sure as fuck survived far more. He basically super human. He can cut done robots with a fucking sword. It takes place in a world far removed from ours where everything is exaggerated. Jack was never our straight man.

That's different. The Scotsman is a caricature of a Scotsman, for the purpose of comedy.
Ashi is supposed to be a dramatic character (that entire bit with the ladybug, her traumatic childhood, her sisters getting rekt)
A dramatic character shouldn't sound like a caricature. It's very difficult to do right, and here it's done very ham-handedly.

>yfw you read it with his voice

>And tries to kill him again on the island
It didn't seem like attachment, more like forced to come on a field trip

Did you whitewash Happy Jack? Why isn't he yellow like a real Oriental?

I like Ashi, but romance for Jack sounds lame. Perhaps I don't want to contribute to the c/a/ncer that is killing this board?

You got experience on how brainwashed cultist speak?

Tell us more.

>Jack gets teenage waifu
>thinking this wont be a popular decision

So much this.

Show's called Samurai Jack. Not Monk Jack. Yes he did train with monks but he's trained with almost every culture as well.

youtube.com/watch?v=AqSZhwu1Rwo

>Jack is suposed to be celibate because he is like a monk.
This is entirely wrong, and you should feel ashamed for even thinking this. For fuck sake, he feel in love with Aku in disguise during the first fucking season.

But Jack isn't a virgin.

Like, we know this. He's had sex before, it's just not something he does more than once in a blue moon.

>A strawman
You feel she is misrepresenting followers of Aku?

>implying it won't turn out that Ashi is Aku in a last minute twist

First, remember that Ashi is a young adult, so she should probably behave like this:
youtube.com/watch?v=3QhLxCwyEEM
Or like this:
youtube.com/watch?v=kMj9FnwPQpk
Or like this:
youtube.com/watch?v=OiU-Vaq6PRg&t=1m18s
Since cultists are trained to be calm when spreading their hate-speech.

However, Ashi acts like a screeching child playing it up for the camera:
youtube.com/watch?v=JK-af5lh8y4
(particularly at 3:12 where the soldier tells the girls "hey!" after they slap his visor, they shriek like lunatics)

There's no reason for her to act like that. She's a trained assassin, facing her target. She shouldn't be freaking out.

inb4 "but she's a little girl"
Right she could easily stomach her sisters dying and facing her own death but she rants and raves for no reason when she's alone with Jack.

It's bad writing, please don't justify it.

She doesn't fully buy her propaganda, and thinks screaming it will convince her. This is pretty common.

Welp I'm just going to go ahead and say you probably did more research on this one particular aspect than Grendy did.

Although I don't think she was freaking out. That implies she forgot her training or was bumbling around like a dumb fuck. Instead up until the butterfly she was trying to kill him. She measured out every opportunity and took it even if it meant dying with him.

I don't see how they could have been more dead on with her speaking except having her recite Aku verses. But considering Jack = Satan, that might be out of place.

Although if you want to apply 100% real life logic to this, we'd need 5 seasons to unfuck her mind. The type of shit she under went takes years to unwind from a person, and that is just with the nuts who decide to leave western countries for ISIS.

d-delet this

What's the problem user, just be yourself, getting gfs is easy.

It's easy to find experience with that sort, just look in any DCEU thread.

She's not trying to convince Jack that he's evil, so why would she need to act calm? While she was actually engaging him she wasn't shrieking, but now that the threat she represents to him has been neutralized she resorts to impotently exclaiming her hatred.

She places no value on her or her sisters' lives, but considerable value on (ending) Jack's life. It makes sense for her to be cool in one regard and heated in the other.

Also the training she underwent, while strict, doesn't seem like it would have taught her general emotional stability, seeing as her teachers were vicious psychopaths.

>It's bad writing, please don't justify it.
That's just, like, your opinion, man.

having a female character come in all of a sudden as an important part of jack's resolution is horrible, but on top of that she's just fucking annoying, yea she'll stop being a whiny desperate bitch when she's redeemed, but that's shit too (redemption arc), everything about her is fucking shit. The saddest part is people defend her for the sake of waifufagging

i don't care if you waifufag, but don't defend the character just because of that. don't join in the bigger discussions if you're just here to masturbate and want people to accept her because she's you're waifu, not because you have opinions based on her characterization that you want people to know

Stop trying to make sense of Sup Forums contrarianism.

She's not trained to spread hate-speech, she's trained to kill Jack, hate Jack, love Aku, and to view death as failure and those who fail as weak and worthless.

So it does make sense to me that she doesn't flip at her sisters' deaths but does flip when Jack has her beat and is keeping her from carrying out the mission she was trained and indoctrinated for from birth.

I don't really see how this is bad writing. Just because it doesn't line up with how YOU think she should be acting?

>why would she need to act calm
Why would she need to screech?
Obviously she has no emotional need to screech, she was calm in the face of the death of her sisters and she was calm in the face of the possibility of her own death.

The screeching is bad and/or misguided characterization.

topkek this makes so much sense, why do these polposters suffer from so much cognitive dissonance?

>The screeching is bad and/or misguided characterization.
what the fuck are you even talking about

she screeched when she was facing failure at her task. All of her sisters are dead and she couldn't really kill Jack but she had to express her frustration and undying zealousness as that is all she had left

chainsaw mouth man did nothing wrong you bigot.

Because as I said:
>She places no value on her or her sisters' lives, but considerable value on (ending) Jack's life. It makes sense for her to be cool in one regard and heated in the other.

Also this

Her screaming makes perfect sense.
She's rendered inert when she screams, venting her frustration and hatred verbally when she can't physically. As soon as she's able to do something physical she shuts up and just tries to kill him.
What is your reasoning for her NOT screaming in this particular instance? Basically any human would except someone trained specifically not to. And I find it unlikely they bothered to train her to keep her mouth shut in a situation where she couldn't act.
They were taught how to be assassins, not how to resist interrogation. They were expected to kill the Samurai or die trying, not be taken prisoner.

>does flip when Jack has her beat and is keeping her from carrying out the mission she was trained and indoctrinated for from birth

That ties right into the characterization I'm talking about.

Is she a screechy child having a tantrum? That doesn't mesh at all with being a trained assassin. She didn't screech when her mother almost killed her, she didn't screech when her sisters died or she was about to die, but what, she'd ham it up to Jack? This "psycho ex-girlfriend rant" characterization is not compatible with the rest of her characterization.

IF they tried to depict her having a breakdown, they failed, because in her first "breakdown" she's whispering and in her subsequent "breakdowns" in the next episode she is calm enough to shut up when asked to be quiet, and so on.

It's just not handled well from all directions.

If anything I'm upset that they didn't turn up the fucked up dial with Jack's mind ghost.

I like ashi and I'm looking forward to this. Nothing floats my boat like a good ol' romantic tragedy, extra points jack ends up alive and
immortal

I think Ashi is perfectly fine as a character and I'm not some drooling waifu faggot.

I think people are more upset that the next episode looks like it will be Scotsman's return and death, without even interacting with Jack again.

The difference is in those instances she could act. Do something. Fight back. Try.
In the instances where she's spewing libel and slander she's entirely at Jack's mercy, and above all, she's a young, emotionally stunted girl who was never taught social cues or anything besides, love Aku, hate Jack, this is how you fight.

That's ALL they were implied to have been taught. Nothing about her training would cause her to be a calm, collected individual especially if she was put into an unexpected situation she didn't train for.
Like being captured.

It's to be expected that someone taught only to fight and kill would lash out in the one way they still can, verbally, when put in that kind of situation.

Here's what I want-
A creepy fucked up warped Blue Jack, in the styles of the 3rd episode, but in CGI. The CGI that they use to make it just like everything else, keeping it's simple-coloring and minimal shading, make it real fucking creepy.

This.

I don't want to see jack suffer anymore.

So, first anyone who criticized the show was called a contrarian. Now, people who don't like what's happening in the show will be called virgins.

This behavior seems familiar.

It wouldn't make sense if his shadow self was more fucked up now. It gets more fucked up the more hopeless and beat up he gets because it's a visceral consequence of Jack's physical and emotional state. It isn't going to be as intense when he's totally fine physically and no longer has a bunch of assassins to worry about.

Yes you do. It will make his ultimate victory over that walking magical turd with the funny accent that much sweeter.

You literally are a contrarian if you have a problem with the show, it's great and a continuation of a beloved classic from over a decade ago.

>she had to express her frustration and undying zealousness
This ties right back into the bad characterization. There just wasn't zealotry and frustration.
Here's some fucking frustration:
youtube.com/watch?v=Yo3qKhfO_V4

>a problem
ANY?

ur mum seems familiar with my dick

>Nothing about her training would cause her to be a calm, collected individual
Yeah it's not like her mother tried to kill her and she had to be calm and collected enough to overcome that.

>YOU SHOULND'T HAVE ESCAPED THE OVEN YOU FUCKING SHE-KIKE
jesus raimi

She was trained for a specific mindset, while in it she retains her focus.
As soon as she's thrown out of it her inexperience and nativity kicks in. For fuck's sake, they don't know what deer are, they don't even seem to recognize gender. You act like they're elite super agents when in reality they were just brainwashed children subjected to torture with little to no positive reinforcement. My bet is on the latter.

In what way do you think their situation would lead to someone like Agent Smith instead of Charles Manson?

>just look in any DCEU thread.

I know, right??? Those mouseketeers are relentless! They really don't want people enjoying cape shit that is not made by Disney

I think I found a new word for the filter

this, they hate black people because they have big cocks and they know that women lusts for big cocks even if they don't bring the color of the cock.

So they know that women are more likelly to be turned on by black dudes than by their /poltards/ asses

Well at least we've still got blue depression jack, he isn't a fucking normie.

What are you doing right now

She's a trained assassin, she didn't learn how to behave like an adult in social settings. She has freedom for the first time in her life and she cannot deal with it.

And don't pretend that you know how a trained assassin should act like and there's only way for an assassin to act.

Yeah, abuse doesn't exactly produce the most calm and collected individuals.

I really don't know where you're getting this "she should be calm all the time" shit from. She was raised to have a rabid hatred for Jack, not to pity those who can't hack it, and to love Aku. She wasn't raised by fucking monks, she was raised by a fanatic cult, and to kill out of zealotry and hatred.

And stop posting links to shit because "THIS is what so and so looks like", it's making me fucking cringe. Like you're the authority on characterization.

Except Korra was legitimately bad. I honestly don't think you watched the show back then.

>worst haircut and worst va

I am still butthurt that they killed mulan first

I don't think I have a problem with Ashi. I just keep imaging, "What if Ashi were male? Would Jack have shown the same mercy?" In "The Bounty Hunters and the Princess," Jack ruthlessly defeats the (male) bounty hunters, but only knocks down the princess with a simple push. Had Ashi been male, would Jack have been as willing to save her from the beast or would he have let him die?

Another problem I have is that almost every cartoon is staring to have hetshit romance. Is it that hard to make a series without the female and male character falling in love? But to be honest, I'm just jealous that there's all these straight relationships, but not a single gay one.

Fag

cry more faggot
i dont like this "romance" subplot either but please contain your autism

Ghey

>"What if Ashi were male? Would Jack have shown the same mercy?"
Normally I would ask the same thing, but it seems kind of silly to ask it after he just got done brutally murdering a bunch of girls.

I also don't think they're going to have a romantic relationship.

>but not a single gay one
This is good b8 regardless of the truth

>Another problem I have is that almost every cartoon is staring to have hetshit romance.

It's almost like love between a man and a woman is natural and gay sex is just a mentally ill perversion.

>hetshit
Good. Your mentally ill kind should be gassed.

...

>Millions of years in the future where earth is ruled by a demon.
>She doesn't act like a feminist in my reality there for she is shit.

>What if Ashi were male? Would Jack have shown the same mercy?

Jack killed 6 out of 7 women he fought, Ashi had mercy not because she is a woman, but because she attacked him when he felt like he could just stop her without killing

It's not just the DIE SCUM DIE YOU WORM shit, it's every line even if it's not yelling.

After she said that they've been swallowed by the creature and said "You're dead", the "You look hideous", it's any tone she takes.

I've heard Tara before, it's just something about this character and the acting that isn't translating the same.

How was the episode, lads?

The sheer magnitude of fannyflame she's currently causing on Sup Forums right now gives me life.
Like this guy If only you retards were as good at chilling out as you are at shitting your diapers

Are are SUCH a fucking retard

>Waifufags calling other people virgins

>me out of almost 100 posts
well god fucking damn it

no, I'm the only one not screaming mary sue feminist stronk female character, it's the more basic issue rather than a sexist issue

fuck off blue jack

Yes, but do all these cartoons need it is what I'm saying. Does it actually progress the plot? I know there's never gonna be a cartoon with a gay main character, but what I'm asking is for there to be no romance. Are you actually okay with all these forced relationships that add nothing to the show? Are you going to say "yes" purely out of spite for gays or do you genuinely believe these romances are actually worthwhile?

I mean a gay relationship in the main cast. Korra doesn't count.

The OP is literally asking us to explain why we didn't like Ashi. All I'm doing is giving him my response.

get out of here homo

although your point is weakened by her sisters being dead, I do think writers tend to use women for "forgiving the tsundere" plots

It isn't economical viable to pander to your specific mental disorder

Proof or it didn't happen.

that dad is goat

i refuse to believe this wasn't sattire

I dunno, people like OP exist, and the way he added himself and his parents in that manner seems to appear as though he's just another melodramatic gayboy

>just assumed his gender

I thought user said the opening was going to change in this episode onwards.

It sucks.

>Not a Single Gay Relationship

Steven Universe
Yuri on Ice
Adventure Time
Legend of Korra
The Loud House

Almost every Cartoon show made from 2012 and onwards has at least one Gay Couple or at least Gay Themes.

Plus it's pretty damn obvious that Jack and Ashi aren't going to hook up. That's just a dumb meme at this point.

Nips arent yellow

I'm really disappointed by the fact they decided to go with an opening without any music.

I don't like how Jack's story is ending with focus on a random character that just showed up that is also getting more screen time than Aku.

Mako's dead, the less we hear of Baldwin the better.

>Getting laid is the meaning of the universe!!!!
Why are you normalshits so simplistic?

A relationship serves no purpose in Jack's mission.
