ALL THOSE UNIVERSITY DEGREES, WORTHLESS
Just like real life

She's cute. I want to do something with her tiny little legs, but I'm not sure what.

College is a meme.
If you can't get in for free, it is not even worth it.
Even if you do get it for free, have fun spending hours on stupid shit you don't even care about.

isn't Dean a boy's name?

you're a special boy, aren't you.

Dean in this sense is a title

The administrative head of a college

You dense fuck

She's in academia. She doesn't need to be relevant in the real world.

Only the artsy fartsy types. All the chem/biochem folks I know are struggling as hard as ever.

In this case it's a title, they're the dean of a university, the headmaster, the boss

So this guy is the boss of the Ventures? Or is it that he will someday become the boss?

Would you, Sup Forums?

This or you're just plain retarded.

Explain.

...

As far as "canon" goes Hardscrabble opens up a new laughter based academic programme and congratulates Mike and Sully for continuing to surprise her.

Laughter needn't necessarily completely supplant screams as an energy source, it just solves the immediate energy crisis. The rich would probably be willing to pay more for scream power due it "burning more cleanly" or some shit. Other companies would be slower to adapt to the market change than Monsters Inc. and so would the general technology, you need GIANT capacitors for all that extra laugh energy.Hardscrabble probably lived long enough to see her personal area of expertise become technologically obsolete but scaring is just too much of apart of their culture to go completely extinct. It'd probably become even more of a cliquey, old money profession for upper class monsters, something pointless in the modern day yet still practiced for traditional reasons.

Dean can be a boy's name, or it can be a simple title referring to the administrator of a college

Like how Marshal can be a name as well as a military title

Are you pretending to be retarded, or not native in English?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dean_(education)

>The rich would probably be willing to pay more for scream power due it "burning more cleanly" or some shit.
That's a clean-burning scream, I tell you hwat.

...

>monster
>voiced by Helen Mirren
Do you even need to ask?

This movie was fun as hell. Without bringing up "Muh Boo!" Can someone explain why Sup Forums hates it again?

I've always been curious if there was like a sub-culture or competing industry of monsters who specialize in scaring adults.

I'm pretty sure there isn't because the focus seems entirely on children and that whole scene was, "we can't scare adults, they're adults!" But the fact that adult screams are/were powerful enough not only to power a door from the otherside and fill the ENTIRE rooms scare canisters.

I mean, that's pretty neat.
Plus I want to see the ESPECIALLY scary monsters who work in the field of adult scare, it'd be neat.

>Monsters find out humans aren't toxic
>Those who still scare do it by touching
>Laughter is surpassed in power

>As far as "canon" goes Hardscrabble opens up a new laughter based academic programme and congratulates Mike and Sully for continuing to surprise her.
You can't be serious

well it brought in a ton of furries for one

...

>to see her personal area of expertise become technologically obsolete but scaring is just too much of apart of their culture to go completely extinct.
Name one real life example similar to this

>Helen Mirren
Homeopathy, especially in Asia.

Then adult scarers discover monster fetishists and discover orgasm moaning and screaming surpasses even adult scare screams.

>most monsters are childish and goofy looking
>can only really scare kids, because of their polka dots and shit
>if an adult saw em they'd just think it was a furry invading their house (which is pretty scary on its own now that i think of it)
>but then there's the secret adult scare forces of monsters
>skinwalkers and mothman and wendigos and shit
could make a bretty good spinoff, i'd watch

And thus succubus and inccubus became mythological creatures in the human world

>Pregnancy tests and sexual
>Both worlds go through debates over human/monster babies
>Both see it as an invasive disease by a foreign world seeking domination
>Contact with the human world is heavily monitored even more because they can't simply exile themselves away due to a need of power to fuel their desire
>Every monster who goes for to the human world are checked
>Monsters who are seen getting into human kink are placed under arrest but not exiled to the human world because they'd be happy there
>Monsters who seek to fuck humans go through therapy sessions or do actions to fulfill their sexual frustration
>Same goes for the humans who want to fuck monsters
>Conflict and civil unrest occurs in both worlds with mass protests, lynchings, and more
>Some fuck in secret
>They're not responsible and as a result, STDs start crossing over

Have you ever seen a movie before?

If you have, then statistically you should know literally everything that's going to happen in Monster U. That's how fucking generic it was.

Yeah, sounds pretty dank. Most adult scare shit I can think of would be like an Entropy incarnate or something.

>Name one real life example similar to this

purdey.com/new-guns/

Double rifles are as obsolete as scream, but there they are, being cranked out like crazy.

I remember the scene where they're showing the monsters on the scare floor getting ready and a couple of them -whom aren't as scary as they could possibly be- proceed to give themselves some scarier accessories: one guy gives himself like a dozen or so more eyeballs and another slips in a pair of massive dentures filled with fangs.

If this is an industry that keeps the economy going and is something inline with ENERGY I could imagine a whole spectrum, of, like, "making yourself even scarier" equipment and techniques made and taught to these monsters.

>no game where you can have a relationship with real monsters

Monsters Inc and Monsters University really gets me befuddled cause of how their universe works Cars is an even bigger culprit of this, but that's a rabbit hole I don't wanna go down again
Like,
>the monster universe is a parallel to our universe, except they somehow figured out how to make interdimensional doors
>they also somehow found out that human screams could be used as energy
>they somehow found a way to convert screams into energy
>gigantic monsters and aquatic monsters apparently exist and their lives work regularly as well somehow
>some monsters can fly and breathe fire but others can't
How did all these things work? Where's my in-depth history of Monsters? Am I thinking way too hard about this like people do with Cars?

if they had to do a history they would probably just have some existentialist idea like "the monster world and doors were created by the power of kids imagination which was so strong it made them all real, etc etc" type of thing

its a cop-out, but easier than explaining the paradox of powering inter-dimensional doors with scream that they can only get on the other side of said doors

>love older women
>love monsters
>love Helen Mirren
best part of the movie

coal mining

seriously coal mining is fucking dangerous, disastrous, and wasteful. i'd love for my tax dollars to go towards retraining all those old coal miners in wind/solar/nuclear tech so they can run those plants but instead coal mining is fucking deitized by every two-faced politician trying to pander to the "real" america

fucking backwater appilachian fucks, they all voted republican too then acted so fuckin shocked when they tried to slice welfare and repeal obamacare, gutting their actual literal lifesavers

>pander to the "real" america
Can I expect more dead canaries?

They used fossil fuels for quite a while, long enough to get the doors working. They went through the doors, and, after some trials, got a small power surge a la what happened with laughter. Then they worked for a few years, found a way to convert it into power, weaned off of fossil fuels, and led to the events in the movie.

of course I would

We're working on it

looks like shit desu

It's a WIP

Turns out learning martial arts for years is better than going to college...

...

Monsters had dinosaurs?

Potentially.

The dinosaurs WERE monsters

there some comic i saw on exhentai long ago that was kinda like that kid monster scared kids then at some monster reunion for fun they decided to revisit the kid finds out kid grew up

link?

Nigga, do you even college?

>dinosaurs were the ones who invented the doors
>they created them to scare the monsters

so this is really springbreak heh

What event occurred to convince the monsters that children were toxic?

yes.

Queue details at the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor at Disney World

We've talked about this with the PNKS.

We've had their origins tucked back on the original DVD and as a pullout in the Pixar Treasures book.

Monsters are the descendants of ancient hominids that were driven out to sea by our ancestors and stumbled upon an enchanted island and were mutated into different forms by eating what grew there. Monsters Inc isn't so much a science fiction story so much as it is the story of a Faerieland that industrialized instead of that hippie elf "save the trees" shit.

Might be because of the noise. Maybe the prefer the sound of screaming over the sound of laughter. They are monsters.

Most fossil fuel oil is actually rotted ancient plankton.

Or maybe certain monsters are just sociopathic enough to think their appliance and vehicles are laughing at them, and start having episodes because that's all that they can think about.

This is fascinating.

So monsters are related to humans.

>Monsters and humans are compatible
This is just like my American pornography

How did you like the movie guys? I fucking loved it for the beginning alone, game me a lot of nostalgia for college.

>College is a meme.

>this is what brainlets actually believe

...

Oh Y E S

sauce?

It's on Rule34. Don't know the artist.

in a heartbeat

As a college graduate I can say that YES college is a meme. You can get more objective knowledge through the internet and reading books. College is helpful (although less and less so recently) for getting your first job, after that nobody will ask for your GPA or your degree they will always place higher importance on employment history.

"But college is for having new experiences and expanding your mind bro," the only thing of value I experienced in college was drug use. I learned and experienced far more in one year post-graduation than in four years of college, and experience outside of school has been far more relevant and useful than any experience in school.

Luckily my parents have money so I am not in debt at all. If you aren't paying than I guess there are worse ways to spend four years. Easy sex, relatively cheap living, and lots of drugs. But I really can't say that I got a lot out of it other than alcholism.

Live, dammit!

Current Sup Forums is shit all year.
Only thing that changes is what we blame it on.

>Easy sex, relatively cheap living, and lots of drugs

reeeeeeeeee

Clearly you picked a meme education, of course it ended up being a waste.

Would you?

Does anyone have a link to that fapfic where the PNKs fuck a human guy

Like Art History.

Seconding this.

...

>So how did you two meet
>Well, she used to appear out my closet somehow and scare the ever loving shit out me for a few years, and then after like a decade she came out of my closet and fucked my brains out

>Scrubs - Where Do You Think We Are?.jpg

replace closet with bed and that exactly how the comic went down

I literally just thought that up as a hypothetical exchange they'd have with whichever set of parents if they started a relationship after. Didn't know it was pretty much a 1:1 of the comic.

The dean a cute. CUTE

That...sounds a bit like Clive Barker's Nightbreed.

shut up and take my money

Isn't Betty a woman's name?

>hours
What kind of baby college did you go to?

I went to a tech school and everyone is depressed and stays indoors and the coursework is hard as fuck.

I wish I went to a state school

...

There's an actual fapfic of that?

Yes, it was posted forever ago though so I don't think the archive would have it
