If this show got bigger in Japan, we might actually see breakfast platters in the form of Moonflower heads.
Either every full moon, or every other full moon. There was a two month gap between the first 9 episodes and episodes 10-18. Whether this was intentional or due to some kind of internal problem isn't totally clear (at least, not to me).
Also, pancake-zuki actually looks appetizing. I wonder if you were to just wrap a slightly baked apple in pancakes like that, if it would be good... Certainly sounds good at least.

I was recently learning Japanese and found out there are various cherry trees called weeping cherry, so I have a hypothesis those trees are another inspiration of what they have in Japan, other than the name. If that's true, I wonder what else in the show is an inspiration.
