Top three all time easily.

Probably not.

It's not even that good. It had great visuals and some nice one-liners but the plot was very sloppy.

>the greatest cartoon movie of all time?
The Thief And The Cobbler

It's not the best, but it's pretty good.

>see a book called "Ulysses" in the library
>no description on the back
>"hey they probably based that submarine in Atlantis on this or something"
>read through the whole thing
>mfw

I still remember seeing this in theaters with my dad and sister all those years ago. Also played the PC game but I never got past the rolling snowballs.

I wish we could've learnt more about this thing, or the Atlantean technology in general

...

It was okay.

Fucking lobster battleships.

Did they invent the language for the movie? I wonder if there's any way to track it down and learn it

I didn't see it until I was an adult, but I really enjoyed the submarine toy from a happy meal in mcdonalds. It could deploy a smaller submarine from a special compartment. I thought it was just a cool submarine.

why didn't these dumb niggers just fly higher?

Same, I don't think we got McDonald's after we saw the movie but I do remember getting a happy meal with a toy of the drill from the movie, my sister got stone giant.
>My other sister felt she was too old for happy meals and we never got a third toy before they were discontinued.

Pros: Good visuals and fantastic voice cast, and was pretty dark for a Disney film.
Cons: Felt rushed, plot was paint by numbers, and doesn't age well.
The film could have worked better if it was made longer.

Listen, it's not as dramatic. Or maybe they just couldn't.

Certainly one of the best Disney films of all time.

Soundtrack is fantastic too

Massive fan of it but the original Land Before Time is superior.
The Secret of Nimph possibly also.

it was a meme movie, taylor made for reddit

That scene was the shit man, I wanted to know more about all those ships

Buildup and mood in the first half is great. they should have kept that going, making the movie about getting to atlantis rather than defending it. That way everything becomes more hopeless for the group and the betrail so much more crushing

Just countless wrecks from over the centuries.

Yes, it was developed by the man who invented Klingon.

Yeah but they've probably all got a story to tell, it'd be radical to know.

Maybe if it would ever been finished properly.
Also it's just visuals no substence

>ship attempts to go from point a to point b
>"OH GOD IS THAT A GIANT LOBSTER"
>ship wrecks
>the end

...

>tfw no atlantis tv series

there was one, it was canceled

Treasure Planet as better at least storywise.

Apparently one episode would have them meeting the Gargoyles.

The first 5(?) episodes were made into Atlantis 2.

I think it would just be Demona.

The rest of Goliath's clan would still be in their stonesleep

That's not how you spell Prince of Egypt.
Atlantis is certainly one of Disney's best though even if it's a bit rushed.

...

Is it true that this movie takes place in the same continuity as Disney's Tarzan? One episode had an evil brown girl who's apparently from Atlantis or something.

Shut the fuck up.

Possibly Though I've never seen the Tarzan tv show so I don't really know what you're talking about

There are a bunch of different fan theories that place all or most Disney films into a single continuity, there's no reason why Atlantis wouldn't fit.

It's good, wish they'd let themselves be influenced more by Mignola's art style.

the part where Kida was absorbed into the crystal fucked me up as a kid

Shit, they might have crossed over with other Disney Cartoons too, like Tarzan.

Might have been pretty dope.

Though according to the time period, it would still be too early for them to meet THE ROCKETEER

I love the designs. Whoever thought bringing planes and a 1910s ZLTOS along deserves a medal.

...

...

>there has to be more to life than this...

I am still confused on what comics to read for that guy. Went through some collection thing with really nice art but that's all I got.

He's great.

...

Or maybe because they don't fly so good

...

Honestly, there is not nearly enough Rocketeer stuff out there.

I was legit hoping that there would be an easter egg of him in the Captain America movies.

Doesn't help that the At War thing has really bad art.

I

Gee I fucked that up. I always felt bad for these guys.
