Disney killed the original Star Wars Characters

Disney killed the original Star Wars Characters
Replacing them with characters with less charisma than Jar Jar

Nobody cares about Finn, Mary Sue or Poe
Fucking shit Disney how could they fucked the saga in such a short time?

Only Redditors and MCU fans will defend this

Agree!

Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to

Viewers of today don't have the attention span needed to understand character development. They just want flashing lights and loud sounds.

But, quips user. That’s all that matters anymore these days

Leia will use the force in episode 9 to give her own life to bring back Luke

>Nobody cares about Finn, Mary Sue or Poe
The new Star Wars was the most succesfull of them all with 8 showing no sign of slowing down. It's fine to have an opinion. Making demonstrably preposterous lies up to support it is not

Yes. Now let's make have the threads in the catalog about this crime against humanity so Disney can see we care!

It really is time to move on from our childhood OP. Star Wars and all the other franchises were nice when we were younger, and i am glad that they happened, but it's over now. Time to grow up and move on

Roasties love the new characters according to twitter

>with 8 showing no sign of slowing down
you're basing that on the premiere??? And btw, adjusted for inflation, 7 made less than ANH. And the tickets back then were cheaper than now.

Roasties love whatever they are told to.

Rey has charm somewhat. and Boyega does a great black American caricature with all the hooting and what not.
Thats about it.

Harry was so godamn alpha

...

Isn't that somewhat due to anticipation though. I mean look at the trajectory of DCEU films. MoS did well, well enough to justify continuing even after some serious critique. But by the time JL rolls around the expectations were low from repeated disappointments. Isn't it possible that is what's happening here. I personally think TALK will perform pretty well at the box office but if it comes off as another failure then pisode IX will be the movie that suffers most for it as the fans good will or hope that a course correction would happen will be gone.

I think that's a reasonable assumption. However it doesn't make the claim "Nobody cares about Finn, Mary Sue or Poe" any less retarded

You don't know the meaning of the term 'classic'.
If you prefer accepting passively everything without using your brain because "times change", of course you can. If you feel you need to be a yesman to survive, go ahead.
But don't ask people to make your same low choice.

>prequels is about anakin
>OT is about luke
>sequels are about kylo

It's fine

is it ok if i rape your asshole too

That was a really juvenile response

Heir to the Empire
Dark Force Rising
The Last Command

These are the true trilogy. Leia's wedding and Truce at Bakura are ass. Jedi Academy trilogy is kino. Shadows of the Empire is kino. There's more kino out there. If they try to hide the truth and claim "Legends" then you know it bears scrutiny. Disney bears no scrutiny. Disney bears the shame of failure and non-canonicity.

A FUCKING ICICLE

>calling video games kino
>implying you've ever read a book

But at least they utterly assassinated their respective characters before physically offing them. Classy, that.

Zahn trilogy is the only kino

Shadows is ass

>Fucking shit Disney how could they fucked the saga in such a short time?

Quips, self-aware humor, and Greed: vast, cool, and unsympathetic.

>"Why is Luke, previously the most earnest guy in the galaxy, letting loose with acerbic wisecracks? When Rey hands Luke her precious light saber, he tosses it over his shoulder like an empty can of Dr. Pepper. He mocks it as a “laser sword,” while Rey, asked to explain the Force, calls it a “power . . . that makes things float.” The tone here is similar to that of the self-aware jocularity of the progressively less successful 2009–2016 Star Trek series"

>"Get a cheap laugh poking fun at the mythology and its power won’t be there when you need it."

Reminder to create a reddit account for tomorrow, there's a cooldown on excessive PMs that expires after 24 hours, so MAKE IT NOW.

Pick literally any redditor anywhere and spam that Luke dies at them through PMs, it's unlikely you'll be banned because your messages aren't public

Redditors are constantly checking their inboxes and the PM notification is the same as the reply notification for them, a simple "Luke dies :)" will do fine and they won't be able to avoid seeing it

Focus in particular on larger subs filled with retards who actually give a shit, such as /r/movies and /r/starwars

And don't forget to collect the tears and abusive messages and share them here

>sequels are about kylo
It would be if this isnt just cashgrab. And saying this is sad regarding prequels and the whole franchise.

Shadows of the Empire is a book you retarded N64 babby

>implying you know about Prince Xizor

Star wars is so fucking overrated holy shit.

>The new Star Wars was the most succesfull of them al
Wrong. I don't expect it to dive like Episode II, rather more in ROTJ range. So still very profitable.

Also kinda surprising that Empire did so bad after adjusting for inflation.
