This shit isn't bad at all.
After TDKR, The Collector and The Collection, not only it presents the return and redemption of the good old hired gun, but it is a fun ride in the end. Sure, it's not a masterpiece or a deep arthouse movie, but it is an entertaining one, that doesn't take itself too seriously, and delivers a fast-paced, very enjoyable ride.
Ladies and gentlemen, Masketta is back to chew gum and kick ass.

Wait, is this related to the collector/collection movies? Or just another horror movie starring the masketta man himself?
Wow trailer looks promising. Will check it out tonight.
Did he become the Collector at the end or something? I forget how that ended.
They are not related canonically, but they are and feel spiritually, being the same director, writer, ost composer and lead character.
Anyway, I like to think that all his movies are related somehow.
he traps him, see for yourself:
In which order though?
The Collector, The Collection, The Neighbor, and TDKR?
I'd say TDKR happens after the Collection saga for sure. It would also explain his affinity for masked men.
Right, right. Say, why did the Collector's eyes glow the way that they did? They had a glint in them like a spider. Was he part spider?
Who knows, tbqh, it can be interpreted in various orders giving you a different perspective every time.
They can show us the story of a man slowly becoming the right hand of the masked man because of the suffering and trauma of his encounters with the collector and the neighbour who shattered his visions of humanity itself.
But it can also be a jounrey of hope and redemption of a hired gun who wants to escape his past and become a better person by overcoming the evil and the banes of this world.
Indeed they do. There must be saymbolism with the spiders, being the collector himself a multiple spider collector, and being the spiders natural predators, and the collector himself was also a predator of humans, one could make an instant correlation.
I think it's intentionally cyclical in that way, y'know?
>tfw tragic ending no matter how you see it
Poor Masketta Man
Aye
Interesting. I quite like these movies actually, as the OP says they aren't high art or anything but I enjoy them just the same. I think I'll check out the movie in the OP while I'm at it, if I enjoyed those.
he had some good times
I'm excited to see where Insidious will fit into all this
Holy shit, you're right, Poor guy's won't get a grip.
Well, it seems that masketta's journey isn't over.
Who is cia to the masketta man
What should I watch first, The Collector or The Neighbor?
Collector
you can't go wrong with the collector
nobody, or maybe everything, maybe just a pawn in the master plan, maybe just a respective rival of a different team, merely another side of the same coin, or maybe just an old friend, a fellow soul who got caught in the wrong place at the wrong time...
