It actually looks pretty funny and well made. Lego Batman got a shit ton of marketing, this looks to have the same style and team but I hadn't even seen mention of it.
It has Jackie Chan too, thoughts Sup Forums?
Isaiah Lewis
How the fuck do they still keep pumping this infinitely entertaining shit?
Aaron Peterson
>Has Jackie Chan it >the protagonist is literally pulling a fight scene from a Jackie Chan movie while holding a baby
This shit couldn't get more perfect.
Elijah Nelson
Ninjajo is better than lion-o king and techno-knight
Lucas Morgan
>retread of the first seasons plot >Lloyd already 18 >doesn't appear to be the same team >random girl stuck in the team for reason >using Jackie Chan when they already have established voices from the tv show If you're going to make a movie based off a property at least keep it consistent with the property
Carson Fisher
>That entire, "I wasn't even apart of your life" joke Never fails to make me laugh
I think Lego has their own cinematic universe. Also I think the girl is supposed to be this movies version of Nya.
Cooper Carter
I'm really hoping it's good, because there's a good chance i will get credited
Cooper Torres
...who are you?
Camden Edwards
Jackie chan?
Chase Hill
A guy who got lucky as fuck looking for an entry IT job.
Charles Hughes
Meant to respond to you.
Lincoln Lewis
Was that an insult?
Jack Torres
>WB >pretty funny and well made literally impossible
Logan Nelson
I loved LEGO Batman, but it barely made 300 million, and it's a fucking Batman movie. Ninjago is much less well known, and I'm worried about how it'll perform. I really want LEGO to be a Marvel-tier franchise because the two movies they've put out so far are better than anything else to come from this cinematic universe trend.
Jack Myers
WB wants to turn Hanna Barbers into a cinematic universe, starting with SCOOB, hopefully it's not going to be another DCEU
Julian Gray
these smear frames are the reason to watch this movie alone.
Adrian Richardson
TD work, animation, lighting or compositing?
Josiah Murphy
IT'S FROM THE GUY WHO GAVE US CHiPS!
How could it possibly be bad?
Juan Smith
This, although I haven't watched it since season 2, thankfully it doesn't seem the movie will cover anything not introduced past season 2.
Henry Scott
...are they using actual lego pieces to simulate motion for the smear frames?
Thomas Bennett
...
Kayden Edwards
They've been doing it since The Lego Movie, but you need to have a really sharp eye to see them in motion.
Matthew Harris
>ninjas >on mechs >Lego Movie/Batman team I'm so in it's not even funny.
David Ross
I hated the series but I think I want to watch the movie.
Evan Hughes
I don't know shit all about the series but the movie looks fun
Noah Jenkins
legokino
Brayden Robinson
Lego is kiddie shit. I would rather see the same movies with a more serious tone, and realistic cgi or live action instead of fucking lego designs.
Brandon Scott
we're on Sup Forums
Kevin Jackson
speaking of Ninjago did The Master ever show up online?
Juan Johnson
>tfw Anonymous will finally get the recognition we deserve as saviours of the animation industry
Knew all that bitching about cartoons wasn't for naught, we did it lads
Nolan Flores
you in Burbank my brotha?
Mason Foster
The girl is Samurai X. Its the same team, just look different because its not the same universe as the cartoon or games. The voices for the ninjago cast always changes between the show, games and now movie. You no nothing John Snow.
Elijah Stewart
>The girl is Samurai X. Aka Nya.
Matthew Nelson
It's a reboot movie, so little surprise they'd go for new voices and such. Makes sense it would go back to part of the original storyline, but leave out the weird age kerfluffle that was rediculous.
Also dat mech-sized recliner.
Lucas Nelson
>yfw Garmadon works for Lord Business and this is all before the Lego movie
Chase Murphy
Yep. Blanked on her name during post lol
Xavier Harris
it's not based on the tv show at all.
Camden Kelly
>hopefully it's not going to be another DCEU You don't want the Lego universe to be good?
Jose Myers
The trailer was shown before Lego Batman. How did you miss it?
Anthony Sullivan
It looks entertaining, but will probably pale in comparison to the TV show.
Lucas Hernandez
why aren't they making the water from bricks like they did in the Lego movie?
Dominic Nelson
I can actually answer that, it peeved me too when the trailer came out. Apparently this time the kids playing with the lego pieces and making up the narrative are doing so outdoors. This isnt necessarily a plot point, just something the crstors said in an interview to explain their vision.
Dominic Morris
The TV show isn't all that popular desu, this seems to just carry the name
