The Last Jedi both sides had diversity, but almost every shot of the resistance was of minorities while The First Order had the most whites.
Sup Forums and Sup Forums agree it’s part of the Disney agenda, but is it also a dis at white people (particularly men). Diversity pandering isn’t always bad but this movie took it to knew levels it seems. Thoughts?
Ayden Thomas
Didn't the writer of the last movie (((Abrams))) say the empire is supposed to be a white supremacist organization or something?
Camden Hughes
>Diversity pandering isn’t always bad spotted the soyboy

It's weird because the movies insist on having white men be the face of the Empire and the villains, but the Empire is so cool and popular that the First Order has a founder that is a black woman because comic book artists couldn't stand the idea of white men doing everything.
Disney pushes the idea of the Empire as a monolithic white cis organization but every liberal writer who wants to use the Empire makes sure their POC is a relevant part of this strangely diverse organization.
Jose Morales
>Organization of Whites is effective, has the upper hand, has the coolest shit, and wants to exterminate minorities
Literally what is the problem? That’s your fucking wet dream. You’d complain if the races were reversed too. Literally what the fuck do you want?
Michael Perry
A good movie that doesn't push agendas faggot.
Joseph Collins
Not even your own agenda? Also you idiots will find an agenda in everything.
Tell me, what is your perfect Star Wars movie that doesn’t push an agenda? How would the races be balanced in that?
Oliver Mitchell
>”KILL ALL NIGGERS XD KEK! DRIVE OUT THE SHITSKINS! RACE WAR NOW! WHITES ARE SUPERIOR! HATE CONQUERS LOVE!” >*Movie shows this* >”What the fuck is up with this agenda pushing?!”
This is when you realize that the kids who spout this shit on the Internet know deep down they’re wrong and embarrassed by their own views. It’s why they’ll swear up and down they’re a proud racist and nothing is wrong with racism but yet throw a shit fit if a white male is ever portrayed as a racist.
Daniel Sanchez
Every actor must wear a kabuki mask and have no exposed skin, and their voices must be shifted to hide their gender.
Elijah Martin
If he was black he’d get fired by his employer for pulling something like this.
Joseph Perry
If you didn't notice, all the white males of Resistance fought and died fighting in the trenches outside the door entrance. That's where the stood, and died fighting to last man. The women, minorities, POC and etc, they fled the fight. Even the ending shot is a white boy.
You half-breed Sup Forumseddit liberals that cry for the mods when we ask you to commit 100% to our pro Sup Forums and Sup Forums right wing cause will be purged
Thomas Flores
>what is your perfect Star Wars movie that doesn’t push an agenda? How would the races be balanced in that?
The Original Trilogy and the Prequels.
Oliver Baker
So just white people? How is that not pushing an agenda?
Gabriel Smith
>fuck the white male scum >why is our shit selling less and less What do you think they mean by this?
David Hill
I guess it was okay this time. I mean Poe did ABSOLUTELY put her in her fucking place. Snoke also ribbed Kylo for losing to a girl. Reys whole character arc was just being able to lift some rocks which actually tied into Luke previously saying that the force is not about just lifting rocks. It's almost as if a person who has directed movies made this move unlike the shit that was episode 7. It definitely still has several head scratching scenes and quips.
Anthony Nguyen
The OT was the same way, how's your paranoia doing?
Oliver Davis
its 2017 white men are obsolete live with the times grandpa:)
Cameron Scott
>Just white people
You know that's a lie.
Evan Ross
they should make the most diverse movie ever but put zero blacks just so they would shut the fuck up for once and see that they are the only ones that care about this shit
Jason Hughes
Lol yeah the OT that had a mostly white cast because it was made in white countries by white people with a story based on Western archetypes.
Jackson Brown
There were like 2 black dudes and a Samoan total in those movies. Still they’re majority white so it seems you just have a problem with nonwhites.
Levi Gonzalez
>Shakespearian Space Samurai >Western archetypes oh boy
Nathan Turner
I love how the rebels are "celebrating" cause of muh hope yet: >Lose main hero >Lose your whole fleet >Lose all your commanders but a senile woman who can fly in the space. Ironically she is dead irl >W-we did it Reddit!
Joshua Martin
They structured the movie to have commentary in the movie about various things:
Finn getting moved by Rose from going up against the First Order by himself and thus him dying in the process - Possibly an allusion to changing things in Star Wars so that the movies are no longer trying to use Star Wars (at least not in the same way maybe) to fight against the growing force of extreme right-wing beliefs in the USA and elsewhere and against racism and against sexism and some other kinds of bigotry and maybe some other things because according to the metaphor, Star Wars and Finn would have both likely failed and died trying to do that.
Merchandise - the alien putting coins into BB-8
The destruction of the old Star Wars Expanded Universe - the tree gets struck by lightning and burns down, but Yoda says what was in the books is in Rey meaning possibly in some sense that Rey/Star Wars is based on some things from the old EU books and games
Josiah Collins
The merger of Disney and Fox - Snoke having aspects that are allusions to Rupert Murdoch and Kylo (analogous to parts of the Fox corporation) separating from Murdoch and trying to join with Rey (analogous to Disney and/or Star Wars) to rule an empire (although what they do in the future may not necessarily involve the creation of an empire ruled by them that has lots of bad things that happen in it)
Rose said something about trying to save ones you love instead of trying to fight which has a bit of a double/triple-entendre maybe as Finn gets moved aside from being as big of a main character and/or love interest to Rey.
He gets saved from facing the attack of the First Order by himself which (according to the metaphor) it seems like he would likely lose and therefore Finn is theoretically saved from some people 'attacking' and/or thinking 'negatively' of the character or some things the characters does,
Also he is saved in the minds of some of the people who would have 'attacked' him and/or thought 'negatively' which could possibly allow for something interesting to occur in the future with the character in regards to those people even maybe in a similar vein to him being as big of a main character and/or love interest.
