Nick Fury #1

Lets read the start of Marvel's next stealth mini

which is a shame because this seems pretty fun

...

...

Oh shit, Robinson. I wasn't aware this existed.

Still have to say that pushing Fury Jr. is the single most shameless thing Marvel has ever done, and that's saying something when it's competing with Civil War II.

...

I want Joseph back
Blackfury is still fun, but he isn't Mr. Anger

Last new Marvel book that I liked with flashy colours and style started in a casino turned out to be a stealth mini. You won't fool me again Marvel!

...

Can already tell this is trying really hard to be like Steranko. But let's see how it works out.

Ain't nothing wrong with minis. So long as the writers are aware of it.

It's clear Marvel isn't really that interested in long running series at the moment.

...

>Can already tell this is trying really hard to be like Steranko. But let's see how it works out.

I mean, that's how it should be.

...

Alright, this set-up is almost identical to the new Elekra (mini)series, but I am really digging it

Hold up, did all the patrons get off the boat when the alarms went off? Because if not, Nick Fury Jr. has some blood on his hands

Points for the layout and colors. I love a good homage as much as the next guy, and it was particularly groovy baby. BUT!!!! Nick Jr. is just no replacement for his old man. Especially since he lacks the fun supporting cast.

The end. Support the official re-HAHAHAHAHAHAHA sorry; just the thought of Sup Forums actually buying Marvel books instead of just complaining about them left me in stitches. Good time

The coloring in this makes the poser shit even more obvious and stilted.

Is Nick Sr. still alive?

Not in EVERY scene, but yes, a lot of it's clearly poser crap in many panels.

When will the real nick fury come back?

Who inked this? It looks bad compared to aco's other work

Most of it is poser, all the vehicles are definitely traced 3d models, as is much of the scenery.

When has that ever stopped a Fury?

>Is Nick Sr. still alive?
Yes, but he's locked to the moon because of The Watchers' curse.

>Is Nick Sr. still alive?

Yes but he is now the new Watcher or some shit

Original Sin was such a clusterfuck

So the one eyed man becomes the watcher.

>Auric Goodfellow

It's just a bit too overtly Steranko/Bond for me. When you basically lampshade that in how you write it, it's tough to get into. 2000AD did this kind of interesting spin on a Bond/Modesty Blaise thing recently with a comic called Goldtiger though, so I guess I'll keep going for a couple of issues and see what spin it gets.

In terms of pure action (and also including a flying car) this has to compete as a #1 with stuff like Samnee Black Widow #1 and while ACO is way trippier here the quality is nowhere near the same.

lol what the fuck is this art I dig it

I'm too stoned for this

...

A tad unsubtle

Does anybody like Fury Jr? Five years in it just seems like he's a character that's "there" in a lot of books and doesn't have any charm of his own. Hopefully this book will get me to like the character more, but I doubt it.

>Robinson
They definitely got the right guy for it.

How long do you wager until Hammond shows up?

I'm partial to minis because they take much less effort and money to collect than full runs.

Thank you.
