TLJ made me appreciate the PT

Did anyone else walk out of TLJ with a better appreciation for the prequels? I just want to see /ourguys/ Obi Wan and Anakin get in some trouble, not this bullshit Finn/Rose subplot.

this x100

Yup. They're still objectively pretty bad films, but they're much easier to sit through than The Last Jedi.

No but only because I already appreciate the prequels.

They were good friends.

I'm just wondering where all you people were when TFA was a terrible mary sue nostalgia fueled mess with an awful Death Starx100 subplot and factions that were never explained and didn't make sense in light of the previous films. I'm more just baffled that you guys are watching 8 at all.

>Me going into TLJ
At least it cant be worse than the prequels
>Me leaving
Maybe the prequels weren't SO bad. At least they had a fucking plot

It made me priciate Jew Jew and tfa

did you forget the various bullshit subplots in each of the prequel films?

It made me apriciate Jew Jew and tfa

Nope. I already didn't dislike the prequels too badly before watching TLJ, and the movie did nothing to change that.

It did leave me with a lower opinion of both the education system of the FO and the resistance. Both Finn and Rose are utterly incapable of surviving in the greater galaxy.
I understand that their upbringing disadvantages them, but somebody in the resistance should still have sat them down and explained to them laws, their purpose, and the consequences of breaking them.

It even made me appreciate TFA. God I was so mad when I walked out of the cinema.

Kaminoans actually had important position in Sheev's grand scheme and presentations of clone army.
None of the prequel subplots weren't as meaningless as Finn and Rose.

I was raging user. But I think most people thought all the plots would be tied up with TLJ when they weren't people flipped.

totally agree

How is the investigation into the origin of the clone army bullshit?

No, but that's because I always liked the PT

Yeah this, It's sad because the funny deleted scenes alone were better than TLJ. The PT may not be the best int he world, bu for fuck sakes it has life to it. It has a soul.

They didn't even explain enough for the movie to make sense on its own terms or for us to care about anything that happened, and everyone thought "That's okay, because maybe it will make sense after the next one?"

This is why movies like this get made.

Hard to type with my pinky in a bandage.

>Snoke is stronger than Rey
>Kylo is stronger than smoke
>Rey is stronger than Kylo

I will say just like in Girls Adam Driver seals the show

...

I'm wondering where they were when the prequels butchered Vader ten times as hard as Luke but still apply the Zelda cycle to them.

He stole the show and my heart

The prequels were amazing stories.

It was just Lucas' cringe inducing scripts and 95% of the movies being shot in front of green screens with awful CGI that give them the bad reputation...

As a guy who always liked the prequels(but I acknowledge their faults), this sequel trilogy is a God send.

People are finally understanding why the prequels are actually not as bad as they were led to believe.

Seriously almost all of the fucking aliens in the sequels look like they could be the same species. Load of horseshit.

I went to a party tonight and normies were raving. They loved it. It was philosophical, it was subversive.

I didn't know what to do. I couldn't say anything.

None of them cared that it didn't make any sense, none o them cared it didn't have a plot, none of them cared it ruined characters.

Why can't I just be normal and turn off my brain?? why cant i just not care

I’m with you 100%, OP. I left the theater legit angry.

Just because you just ate a rancid shit doesn't make the fresh turd good.

>Rian Johnson managed to make PT Anakin likable

What a time to be alive.

I've always had a soft spot for TPM and I'll watch it whenever its on tv. I think it still has its charms, and I like the dynamic between Obi and Qui-gon

The only way I can watch the other 2 is by skipping though half the films and are almost complete shit

Autism

May be that was his plan all along. He wanted everyone to like the prequel trilogy.

ayy lmao

Because many of them are forgettable.
When Anakin and Padme go to the droid factory on Kamino and C3-P0 hangs off of the machine and gets his head swapped around.

>When Anakin and Padme go to the droid factory on Kamino and C3-P0 hangs off of the machine and gets his head swapped around.
That's more of a running gag than a subplot.

And what about the droid attack on the wookies ?

>better appreciation for the prequels
>/ourguys/

You don't matter, user.

its a part of the romance subplot but takes up about half of it.

I disagree, they are ok films with too much merch thinking. And enyoable

Romance subplot goes through almost whole movie, not just geonosis factory.
It's still a gag, stop tryhard put it as a subplot comparable to casino planet.

the creation of the clone army is a bullshit subplot? The creation of boba fett is a bullshit subplot? How and why the republic got some many soldiers to fight the war is a bullshit subplot?

and part of the reason why ep2 is now the second worst star wars movie

So even the jews feel themselfs as aliens in western civilization and insert themself as such?

I enjoyed Ep II and III. Padme's theme is beautiful and they did quite a good work on Coruscant. the world seemed much more rich.
