I like Betty but I do agree bringing her to the future was a very odd move, very doctor who-ish even.
I agree completely, but I like what they've done with her since then. You Forgot Your Floaties and Elements make up for it.

I was hoping after Bespoken For that she would have the courage to just let herself go completely crazy so that she could enjoy a happy, albeit more superficial relationship with Ice King.
If she had just forced herself to forget her's and Simon's names and fully became Weird Lady, she might have had a shot at happiness.
