nice thread, you fuck

They'll like it for the same reason they liked The Dark Knight Rises and TFA. The writing may have been stupid but it had emotional oomph, so they'll give it a pass.

WHY DO YOU CARE ?

Jay is getting cold feet about the wedding.

It blows my mind that anyone who understands the fundamentals of of what makes a movie work would think TLJ is good.

>major Disney blockbuster after the embarrassing attempt of regaining credibility with Rogue One
But of fucking course they are going to like it, all that Nerd Crew merch isn't free you know?

They're gonna sit on the fence as usual.

>obligatory fake out IT SUCKED at the start
>"nah just kidding it's okay"
>Mike is going to like it because 'it was schlocky enough for me to get into it once I turned off my brain'
>Jay is going to like how pretty it was, proceed to spend a LONG time talking about everything he hates but then eventually going "it was good!!"
>Rich is going to be a wildcard. Rich either doesn't care about the lore and probably thought it was okay or obsesses over lore and will absolutely hate it for all the lore rape it does.

>If they trash it they will appease the die hard SW fans they try to ridicule
>If they love it they will just fall in line with all the other critical response

They will feel mixed

>it had emotional oomph
When?

The thing is... the "emotional oomph" of this movies is just temporal, it only works briefly and falls flat upon any intellectual analysis. It's superficial satisfaction. Like one of those Marvel jokes: you laugh because of the surprise factor and the social element of the theater, though if you think about it, you didn't even find it funny and 30 mins later it you couldn't remember it: it has left zero impression on you.

That's because of how they make these movies nowadays. There's no true screenwriting master with a vision or a voice behind them, there's only focus-group design and -literally- AI analysis of how the audience reacts to each bit (and fine-tuning upon it).

STOP SPAMMING THIS RETARDS YOU FUCKING FAGGOT

I can live with that
But if they comment on people disliking it because muh altright I'll have to stop watching them
I doubt they're that stupid though

They'll unironically praise it for breaking new ground

>all that Nerd Crew merch isn't free you know?
yeah that's why they have a patreon dipshit

There was some good stuff like Luke on the Falcon with R2, but Id agree that there was a lot of melodrama just for the sake it. But the RLM guys eat that shit up.

Id like to remind you that RLM consistently gives Marvel capeshit a pass.

If they wind up hating anything it'll be the Casino sidequest until Del Toro shows up.

>it had emotional oomph
it didn't though. it was a total mess.

>THIS RETARDS

There's a lot to like what's wrong about this one

Also these Vehicles captcha is getting border line

USE LEGACY CAPTCHA

dumb newfag

>he thinks they spend that patreon money on darth vader figures when they could get it for free just by being invited to previews
Imagine being this stupid, must be weird

He just needs to eat more cake!
