Emara: emirates hero

from a quick look I thought this meme cartoon was just really really creatively bankrupt but didn't go as far as to straight up copy anime drawings youtube.com/watch?v=0iyD2D4J7yY

serves me right for giving them the benefit of the doubt!

I swear I've seen this exact pose in some anime but I can't remember what it was

Right, only America can rip-off---- HOMAGE other things!

you think I didn't call out capeshit artists copying anime drawings or retarded white people going on about how Korra "invented animated dramas"?

Looks like Lupin

New addition to my harem? Looks promising!

this isn't just referencing the Akira motorcycle scene or whatever, it's literally everything visually iconic about your intro being pilfered from Re: Cutie Honey. even the big silhouetted Mao Dante-esque figure.

definitely not Lupin.

actually wait, I FOUND IT.

this wouldn't be that big of a deal but given the rest of the copypastes it just adds to the general lack of creativity

Is it a production made in the UAE ? If so, color me surprised. Good for them that they are making their own knockoff superhero. Maybe it will distract people from the problems there.

eah this is a pathetic attempt to try to showcase the art that can be produced by Islamic fundamentalist culture by tracing the worknof people from freer societies

People in past threads were talking about how the UAE is woke or whatever and sure it is compared to other places where they stone you to death if you show your hair but it doesn't make it a good place to live by any stretch

I actually had a friend who lived there and died before he could migrate and he would constantly tell me the shit he went through, it was insanely depressing especially since he was legitimately a really smart and cool person and 100% deserved a new life abroad

does she have explosive powers?

though to be honest I think that despite their issues they're pretty capable of making art that's personal and not copypastey; I've heard some pretty fun music from the UAE for example

not a complete trace but the slideshow at 0:44 is definitely from the first Kill la Kill OP

wow those two drawings with different poses and color sure do look exactly the same!

...

is this stealing?
or is it inspiration?
where does the line draws it?

watch the OP, it's the same 'tweened still illustration but with clothes flapping about on the back' thing youtube.com/watch?v=EFNQhmDLjTk

I'm not saying it's as much as a ripoff as the OP, I'm just saying it adds to the general 'bootleg anime' feeling

It's stealing until it's someone Sup Forums likes doing it.

Hey, as long as they don't get beheaded over this shit, I'll consider it adequate progress. And the extra rule 34 will be a bonus.

I'd say tracing is pretty unjustifiable, even when an artist I like does it. So the stuff that's traced, yeah that's theft.

As for the stuff that's not straight up traced, it's more that it adds to a very uncreative whole. The great majority of of what looks cool about that opening is taken from something else.

>these faggots think ripping off anime is new
Modern anime copied 90's anime that coped 80's anime that copied 70's anime that copied Disney.
It's like when you zerox a copy of a copy, that shit is still there, but it degrades and changes after each copy. If you want real theft look at Judenverse. Who gives a shit anymore other than autists and downies!?

I personally draw the line at the number of 'sources'. If you're borrowing from dozens of anime and stuff then that's not plagiarism its a collage

I actually quiet like the art style.
I get the feeling its going to be super cheap animation though.

>copied disney
even the most "SHAMELESS RIPOFF" panels from when Tezuka was in his late teens aren't as shameless. not to mention New Treasure Island had a thematic reason for being a pastiche of children's entertainment.

meanwhile this studio aren't even close to acknowledging their influence.

Mizuki's copying got really bad though. I won't pretend GLORIOUS NIHON is innocent.

who gives a shit, like 10 more animes have probably copied the same frame from bleach or lupin this year alone. even this shit here is probably a rip off from some other anime

I think the difference here is that I don't judge them with lower standards. Soviet Russia was pretty fucked up but they made some amazingly creative cartoons.

Actually, Russian kids shows ended up being ripped off by other, more 'enlightened' cultures. Sweden had a puppet show with bootleg Cheburashka dolls.

As I said, I criticize this shit when nips do it too I've called out inbred sameyness in anime since my earliest internet days

I guess the point I'm making is that many people are posting this as a WOW LOOK AT THESE AWESOME MIDDLE EASTERN ANIMATORS DOING THEIR OWN THING, SO GREAT thing when it's more comparable to Chinese Gumball. I can see the charm people find in this but it's absolutely a knockoff.

And really the reason most people don't notice is because RE: Cutie Honey is a relatively obscure source to pilfer from. If they copied from an anime show show that arab kids grew up watching like say Dezaki's Treasure Island even their audience would have noticed and questioned it.

Did you see what they did to the Hagia Sophia?

going into darker territory (not trying to imply these guys are anywhere near as bad, at least from what I've seen) there's this super conservative guy on deviantart who basically makes islamic anime propaganda with messages like 'don't dress like a slut and you won't get raped'

then it turns out he ripped off the cover to a yuri porn doujin

maybe this should've copied the creature design too and not just the building composition because their creature is boring as fuck
