Kenneth branagh

I'll be useful guy

It doesn't matter who they are. What matters is their plan.

What is their master plan?

CIA: cool, collected guy that underestimates his size.

Bane: big guy who wears a mask, very powerful, crashes a plane with no survivors

George, Fell down some stairs, ugly looking

the general dude. Stood at the edge of the dock watching his men get bombed

>piratefags trash on another great IMAX film

When will you learn?

my favourite thing about this movie was that it wasn't about characters

Crashing this plane

Farrier - big guy in a plane
Gibson - based froggo that drowned

Also protip: you're not supposed to know their names, this is not a character driven film like Star Wars where this kind of argumentation can apply, it's about the event itself.

Crash planes with no survivors.

It's Nolan's best film precisely because it's not character driven. Characters are his greatest weakness. In this they pretty much just represent everymen

Kirk - Known for being done

>using the Plinket star shit argument against an actual film
Embarassing

Bane and I'll Be Useful, Sir. Both characters roles were to finally become Dunkirk. Bravo Nolan.

With no survivors

bravo, bravisimo!

>name two characters in a movie with less than 5 minutes total of dialogue

Yeah, okay.

Bane: Shot down planes trying to bomb boats/the beach.

Civi Dad: Sailed a boat to rescue soldiers.

This is what you get when a bunch of uninformed biggots get their grubby mits on a great cinematic film.

>characters
This is an art board, fuck off right now

Tbh, the diversity in the film were insanely low also...

And i spotted what, one woman?

How can this be acceptable in 2017?

The characters didn't matter that wasn't the point of the film. The film was about an event not the characters.

Farrier: saved the soldiers from enemy bombs
Georgie boy: died a hero
Alex: one of the three buddy soldiers trying to get home
Cillian's character didn't have a name but he was the shellshocked soldier who killed best boy.
Tommy: just a wee lad trying to protect the french soldier
Collins: one of the pilots who crashed and survived
A lot didn't have a name.

stick to soywars, faggot

Dunkirk was overrated. I don't know what you fags are talking about.

>shots of the coast from air
>modern buildings and roads everywhere
>half of the houses got pristine white plastic windows

Okay I get it, bravo nolan wanted to make it with nothing but practical effects but this is just embarrasing. You don't even need to pause the film to see it.

Man you can't post this weak bait every single day, atleast mix it up a bit

>Dunkirk sucked
>did you see it in IMAX?
>no, tablet

Real conversation

>based froggo that drowned
Did he get stuck? It was hard to tell

the whole point of the film was to try and display how war was not have small talk with an infantry man about how their day is

Reminder,

The movie wasn't about characters though, it was about decisions, actions and consequences; whether people did something because it was the right thing to do, or because it could keep them alive.

>no lightsabers
This film sucked

Evacuating the titular beach...
With thirty thousand!

This movie is a disgrace. Where are the other commonwealth soliders such as the Indians or other ethenic minorities who were forced to give their life for the British "Empire"

I think I only saw one black french solider in the entire runtime.

Why did he set the plane on fire? Was he looking for the attention of his own navy or the Germans?

GET REAL

Didn't want the good guys to get their hands on spitfire technology

Show me a single real life picture of any of them in Dunkirk

Farrier - shot down a shit ton of German planes
Gibson - French guy. Saved people because of his fear of being inside a ship and ironically died because he was inside a ship.

Mahmoud - plotted to throw the house of lords a keg party
Singh - held it in and swung a kukri at the Afrikan corpsmensch
Bonus: Radical Larry - guy was all business, all the time

The film was an exploration of survivalism and the chaos of war. Nolan very clearly wasn't trying to make a character driven drama so your "MUH CHARACTERS" argument is invalid. Stick to capeshit, you brainlet.

>thinking a 90 minute movie is about the characters

ugh, nothing but boring white (and probably overwhelmingly cis as well) dudes. This movie seriously lacks diversity

Gibson, he was heroic but died because he was french.
Harry Styles, he was a coward but he got away with it because he's brittish and became a hero.
Tom Hardy, he was a big guy.

A FUCKING FROG!

...

Does the plot change with IMAX?

Ryan Styles
Sexy twink

Shit. I meant harry styles

Only reason girls watch Dunkirk.

They didn't specifically show how he was caught up I dont think, but you could hear a chain rattling as he was struggling to escape.

Bane - crashed planes
I'll be useful, sir - Dunkirk'd his head

...

this movie SUCKED! no quips, no CGI, no cool and funny villains!

Yes, because the plot is here represented visually and with audio which is a character in and of itself
