The Hundred Year war

The time before /his/

An adult version of the life and times of King David of Israel. Giants. Women. Cutting off dicks as a dowery. War, war, and more war. Getting so good at war that he bangs his bro's wife because he's prideful. Nation has calamity because he's a dick. It's pretty much 1st and 2nd Samuel are basically how NOT to act like a king (1st with Saul, 2nd with David).

Spanish American War

I can see potential in a Bone Wars cartoon.

jean de arc?

Kristallnacht and the Beer Hall Putsch

Armenian genocide, mostly for teh lulz

Action/Comedy set in Prohibition-era Chicago, chock full of a bunch of wop caricatures and Dick Tracy-esque bad guys living side-by-side with real 30's gangsters.

Play it out as an episodic mystery-of-the-week thing, running parallel with tastefully embellished re-tellings of how things really went down in some of the b-plots. On some occasions history indirectly ties into the main story, other times the protagonists will have to play a role in history themselves, and will have to honor that status quo by any means necessary (even if it means forfeiting evidence that could put away Al Capone to save a side character, or being unable to warn various people of soon-to-be-successful assassination attempts because of reasons)

The Cortes's conquering of the Aztecs

Philippine-American War
>Americans getting macheted to death by flips with rope armor
>Flip villages and towns burned to the ground in retaliation
>All the dialogue in some mix of English, Spanish, and Tagalog

The life of Red Legs Greaves, a Scottish pirate.
>stowed away aboard a pirate ship by mistake and joined the crew
>dueled the captain to death and was elected new captain
>got a reputation for treating prisoners well and not raiding poor villages
>raided a Spanish treasure ship and retired
>was recognized by a former victim, arrested and sentenced to death for piracy
>while waiting for execution, earthquake tore apart the jail and he escaped
>picked up by a whaling crew, became a pirate hunter until he was pardoned
>retired again, this time for good

For some reason I picture this as a surrealist cartoon.
Salvador Dali meets Mad Max

>rope armor
the uniforms for the filipino revolutionaries would have worn traditional western vestiments

remember, the KKK was born out of western-educated bourgeois nationalists who romanticised the French Revolution, not tribals and moros

also it was the filipinos that retaliated, not the americans

The life of Muhammed.

Preferably contrasted against the lives of other religions founders/prophets.

It needs to be direct and visceral.
Religion is garbage fairy tale bullshit, but Muhammed was a murderous, blood thirsty, petty, narcisstic, hypocritical, lying, pedophile, warlord. In his own words he admits to a life of evil and creation of a massive death cult that has persisted for 1300 years.

That sounds like my kind of Sup Forums! Pirates, adventure, close escapes, and a happy ending to boot!

top edge

The German Revolution of 1848 into the Franco-Prussian war and German Empire with a heavy focus of how none of that shit would have happened if the French had stopped attacking all the time, shooting themselves in the foot.

The Battle of Clontarf/the life of Brian Boru

Carton Saloon teased some images to do with it in 2014 but now they're making some movie about a wolf instead

I am sad

Romance of the three kingdoms, even if most of the shit in the novel is more fictional than it actually was, it was based on actual history

Boshin war2

The Cossack Pirate Adventures Across the Great Seas

Stealing treasure, freeing slaves, removing kebab, all in the struggle against the villainous Sultan Mehmet!
