>DUDE IT'S A MOVIE ABOUT FAILURE AND LEARNING FROM YOUR MISTAKES YOU DIDN'T GET IT
ok will the pear shaped lads who enjoy this movie tell me
>How did she fail? >What did she learn from it?
Oh and if you tell me that she failed because she was somehow tricked by Snoke, no SHE DIDN'T. She saw the conflict in Kylo Ren and it was because of her that Snoke is finally dead. If this is failure I don't know what success is. She took initiative when Luke was moping around and killed the supreme leader.

>>How did she fail? She couldn't turn Ben Solo.
>>What did she learn from it? Some people can't be saved no matter how much you project onto them. She thought she could do anything.

What better way to make a movie about failure by making a movie that IS a failure?
Jordan Ramirez
>She took initiative when Luke was moping around and killed the supreme leader. ya my fave part of the movie was when Rey killed Snoke
Easton Roberts
What she learned: You can't just ask a guy to turn, that didn't work for Han either
Nathaniel Adams
She failed at finding her parents that she was convinced were still out there. She failed at getting Luke to come back with her to join the Resistance, she failed at getting him to train her in the way of the jedi and take her as an apprentice. She failed at turning Kylo to the light side.
Julian Miller
This. She assumed that since Luke could do it and since she trusted her vision of Kylo's future, she could turn him. Instead, she aided him in becoming the Supreme Leader of a dark faction of space nazis that is literally about to take over the galaxy. Rey fucked up pretty hard.

>will the pear shaped lads I can tell the confidence in your argument because you called your perceived detractors fat. The real line between which fans liked it and which ones didn't was probably pull-ups.

Except he used her as a distraction, she didn't do shit. He would probably win against the knights anyway, and if she helped them overtaking him, they'd kill her next.
Angel Williams
There was nothing else she could do in the movie, Luke was inept, his lessons didn't help anyone and everyone was dying. What else could she do in themovie?
>She thought she could do anything
No, she did the only thing she could. Because this is not like ESB as if Luke was teaching her something valuable and making her stronger. And she was kinda right because there was conflict in Kylo Ren she saw it . It really existed even Snoke says so but he never thought he could turn on him
Adrian Ross
>She thought she could do anything.
No, she did the only thing possible even if there was a 1% shot at it. Luke's lessons were completely useless, and by the time he got around her friends would be dead.
Noah Walker
>She couldn't turn Ben Solo. she didn't even try really kylo actually made and effort with a full manipulation strategy she literally shows up, tells him that she saw him turn (false vision), gets ragdolled by snoke, fights his guard, and then tells ben "don't do this" as he tried to get her on his side, goes for the lightsaber, then vanishes after the explosion
Wyatt Long
>Luke's lessons were completely useless Not really. He helped her learn to tap into the force. The other one was just "stop deifying a bunch of retards"
Jaxson Flores
Finn and Rose don't fail. They didn't even pick DJ.
Dylan Richardson
I'm confused. You're agreeing with me, so why reply? I didn't say she helped him become Supreme Leader on purpose. And saying he "probably could've taken them on himself" is irrelevant because that's not what happened.
Robert Thompson
> tells him that she saw him turn (false vision) It wasn't really a false vision, Snoke just connected these two at least that's what he says. There wasn't anything fake about it, Kylo was really conflicted and he felt alone and he needed someone. And her mission wasn't a complete failure since Snoke got killed and all, and it's implied Kylo is a worse less respected leader.
You're right at the end she just vanishes from the movie. If she learned that >There's no hope for Kylo
Then it happened off-screen. When Luke comes he says to Leia
>I cannot turn him. (I) >There's always hope
So this movie didn't really imply that Kylo is without saving

Wow what an exciting and INTELLIGENT movie this became. Bravo Rian

They completely fail to shut down the hyperspace tracking. That's the reason everyone keeps saying their storyline went nowhere even though it led to Del Toro betraying the rebels' escape plan, meaning not only did they fail their mission but they also indirectly caused the deaths of 80% of the remaining resistance. They double failed.
