Unnecessary. LotR will be ruined by the same cancer that brought down Star Wars.

Yes. But I can't say I have much hope for that.

How can a single trilogy be so comfylads?

They are both fine franchises if you're a CHILD. Grow up already.

It's an incredible feat. I still watch the entire trilogy every year around Christmas and I never get bored or skip scenes. I can watch the entire EE trilogy, then move on to the Appendices, then go back and watch the trilogy again with audio commentary.
It's become part of my December/Christmas ritual. There's absolutely nothing Christmassy about it, but for me LotR and Christmas go hand-in-hand.

>Appendices
They filmed them?

It's what they called the making-of documentary. There's about 15 hours of footage covering everything from how they designed sets and costumes to footage of the cast meeting each other, hanging out, the process of creating Gollum, the Balrog, the Orcs etc. It's extremely comfy footage.

>It's extremely comfy footage.
Comfy FEETage!

>to be fair
