RT so mature they publicly mock firing employees

What a professional company LUL, how the fuck do people still defend RT after all the shit they've pulled in the last few months.

I am sorry you lost your job user.

What happened?

nah i didnt lose it, i dont even work at RT remotely. They've just lately pissed me off as a long time supporter because of the recent trends they've taken with FIRST and the new RWBY/Zelda merch being the quality of a deviantART fan artist.

>all the shit they've pulled in the last few months
Like what?
TBQH I would be super annoyed if I wanted to get work done and the new temp can't keep his pants dry.

How can anyone expect RT to act like professionals? They still treat their company the same way as it was way back when it was just a bunch of friends goofing off.

Sounds like someone got hired and then couldn't act like a normal human being

>that Pyrrha plush
I refuse to believe that someone at RT looked at it and said "yes, that's good."

This, basically. You can't expect to foster a professional atmosphere when you're desperately unprofessional from the top-down. It's way more likely this whoever was fired pissed off someone in particular than his overall behaviour being the cachet and to be honest good hiring practices should pick up this kind of person at application/interview anyway.

It *is* funny they're mocking someone they fired about not being professional enough though. Kinda reminds me of when that Marvel editor was talking shit about some artist that wouldn't let him look at sketches, when he in no way identified himself as a Marvel editor or anything other than a random dude.

"Imagine making it this far & then blowing your "dream job" over one awkward moment of fandom. I'm just floored."

I mean I can't really put any judgement towards this unless I learn what happened. Either way it couldn't have been that big of a deal, right? One fanboy moment from a intern/temp position at a efamous place/dreamjob for the dude should probably be passable/forgivable. I just imagine it being some 18-20 year old youngling who just probably said a inappropriate remark to somebody that was really just meant as a lighthearted joke/callback to something they did on a show. Yet it was taken as something serious and he got fired. Oh well.

I am curious on what happened though.

>They still treat their company the same way as it was way back when it was just a bunch of friends goofing off.

Not really, ever since they sold the company there's a more professional air to the production.

Meg Turney quit the company because Fullscreen gave her the ultimatum of stop doing risque photo shoots or lose her job

Ray left AH because they were on a hard schedule or mostly Minecraft and GTA Online because that's what their 14 year old audience wants, now he can make a better living playing whatever he wants on Twitch

" It's just a bunch of friends goofing around" is an image. They're not 5 guys in an office apartment anymore, they employ more than 250+ people.

It definitely could be something you get fired over. You're essentially a nobody; RT is run like a joke and no way it has a solid HR department. So 1) you could easy lose a job for offending talent or execs but 2) even in a normal work environment if you say something that could be taken as harassment, or create a situation that's awkward via a personal/mental/sexual element, you could be fired. There's no real incentive for them to keep you on past a first fuck-up here, you're incredibly easy to replace and it's more important they get the right person than have someone there right now.

Restricting all their content by 1 week for public release instead of the 1 day delay which has fractured the community greatly. RvB and RWBY fans have voiced how damaging it was the first time but RT has seemingly forgotten the backlash it did.

The new RWBY/Zelda merch is prime for a nintendo lawsuit. They have literally just taken the BoTW assets and replaced it with cheap RWBY inserts and remarks that has 0 originality to it. It's not selling either cuz they're quite literally shoving the ads down peoples throats right now. It's all over Facebook and their emails.

What's RT?

For a moment I thought it was about "Rotten Tomatoes" but it seems it's not.

Don't forget their Fallout 4 shit.

So was it you that got fired? Cause unless you actually worked there all this just sounds like a bunch of conjecture with no basis.

Rooster Teeth

I thought OP meant Russia Today or Rotten Tomatoes but judging by that twitter, it's Rooster Teeth.

>fanboying so hard over a web series that gets you fired
I mean, really?

It honestly seems like it would have taken something ridiculous to be disliked and fired by RT. They seem really chill and unprofessional, like Kerry got a job there by befriending everyone at a party or something.

Did they make merch based on fallout 4?

>you could easy lose a job for offending talent
Look at Kathleen, the voice of Tex and a production manager. She lost her job, allegedly it has to do with a clash she had with Barbara

There was a whole Open Letter written by a guy named Shane, who worked with Monty, about the way the company was being run and change in atmosphere

That dude was being kind of a bitch from what I read.

They made fun of a video game critic for giving the game a 3/5, which they called a lowscore, the whole time everyone at the table was wearing a pipboy from their "gifts" Bethesda sent

They also made Fallout 4 sponsored content

Apparently whoever he's talking about wasn't harassing multiple people, he was fired over a single awkward fanboy moment. Kinda wondering how badly he could've possibly sperged out.

Rooster Teeth has fans that are old enough to be employed?

I really wouldn't take Shane's word as truth, that guy had some serious fucking issues. He practically worshiped Monty and Sheena and probably had some autism since he didn't have any friends among the rest of the staff.

>making it this far
Chill out, dude.

It's just badly CGI aimed at 13 years old weebs.

Ah, so nobody that matters.

3/5 isnt really a bad score though. I hate using the term but have they become shills?

It's a show about a bunch of underage girls that the fandom loves to draw porn of

Probably involved asking Barb if she and Arryn have ever banged or showing off their favorite rule 34 or something

They were paid to promote Fallout 4, and they attacked a critic personally (their accusation was he had scored it 3/5 to gain publicity from a controversially low score and for no other reason) while sitting there wearing their gifted Fallout 4 merch.

It was a fucking joke.

Probably yes because they have to obey their Fullscreen masters now.

I love Rooster Teeth (well mostly the original RvB guys) to death, but they've always done promotional content for studios. They've did videos for Bungie all the time back in the day, and probably do for 343 now but I don't keep up with 343 because they're shit

Sometimes I'm amazed by the retardation of corporations that buy this smaller studios. Like, don't they realized their popularity will fade greatly if they are considered sell-outs?

I wouldn't say that necessarily, they're definitely biased though and have lost all of their "small fun business" image.

i gotta see this shit. its like the nerdcrew but not satire!

Twitter was a mistake. And I don't know how famous people haven't learned not to use it by now.

Was this the Achievement Hunter guys?

Even more of a joke that they had him on their e3 podcast and acted like he was a big deal because he's been in the industry for nearly as long as it's been an industry, then they turn around on him like he's a nobody desperate for attention

This was his only response

It's not necessarily in the interests of the owners to keep the integrity of the channel going forever though. If they can use it for their purposes and it works and ultimately fails, well, so what? If it got them the value they wanted it was a success.

People ought to know by now that large corporations care primarily about money and secondarily about anything else.

Yeah that is exactly the attitude that makes the tweeting so annoying. It's fine to fire a guy for being unprofessional, but why passive-agressively whine about it on the internet?

It was Jeff Gerstmann who is 20 times the man anyone at RoosterTeeth is
Fuck RT

Anyone who would actually want to work at RT is probably on the autism spectrum, so it's not surprising that something like this would happen.

He rekt them very politely.

what the fuck is "RT"??

Don't know who this guy is but I like his style.

people care about RT after RvB season 5? how the fuck are they still relevant?

I went to RvBTO years ago and it'll never be that good again

Red Tornado. No idea why everyone is hating on Red Tornado. Sure he is an emotionless robot with tornado powers but he is a good guy.

Yeah I know, I love GB, I just didn't want to namedrop him since this is Sup Forums not a video game board, I though mentioning his experience painted a good enough picture

Best RT boy

>20 times the man
yeah
that fat fuck literally is

The other reds are better you gayboi

Very cool

Fallout 4 did a lot wrong. 3/5 seems like a fair review.

I feel sorry for his daughter.
At least she will be well taken care of financially when he dies.

The only hope we have of the next appearance is a cameo in young justice

how is this Sup Forums?

MODS!!!

He gave the PC version a 4, he docked it to a 3 on consoles for running worse, they acted like he was pretentious for thinking bugs were a problem with a video game

What, is something wrong with Geoff?

The amount he's drunk/continues to drink

At one point he quit, then just started again

VERY cool.

Each episode is both funnier and more depressing

> NERD COFFIN SUBSCRIPTION

>they attacked a critic personally while sitting there wearing their gifted Fallout 4 merch

Holy fuck it's like a parody.

I like Jack, not for entertainment, but he seems like a good person and i'm glad his life is going well. He has best wife at RT
