The Last Waltz?
Also, Robbie was a dick.
Does Don't Look Back count?
>Don't Look Back
Too much Dylan
that is the last waltz
>american folk singer
>is literally more jewish than barbra streisand
okay
Pretty good, but as a big fan of the The Band, I'd rather just see them play than all the guest artists.
Hail, Hail Rock and Roll with Chuck Berry is also pretty good, but more for the documentary part than the concert, imo.
>does any concert film match it?
i'll tell you later
No such thing.
Stop Making Sense is better.
i agree but at least we got the some legit Band kino

the stones one scorsese did
I would love to see Scorsese do a Beach Boys documentary. Too bad he seems to be more into normie dad rocks bands
Those guys were really fucking cool
>inb4 stuffing bologna
Beach Boys are normie dadrock... They're one of the biggest mainstream pop bands of the 60's.
this. Shine a Light is great.
sun araw's version of release is better than everyone else's
starts at 1 hour 5 minutes
If you like early Randy Newman, check out his taped concert with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. It's a great performance.
Which one is this?
Not really. They became a nostalgia band in the eighties, but before that and after their first initial success , they were not mainstream. One of the weirdest and more interesting bands to come out of the sixties. I think they have an good story and would like to see a balanced documentary from a competent director
I hate Shine a Light. Scorsese spends half the movie shilling Bill Clinton then brings out fucking Christina Anguilla as a guest.
...
beach boys not mainstream? are you fucking kidding me?
this lionization of brian wilson/pet sounds/smile has gone too far

This concert movie sucked. The last hour was Ravi Shankar. Fine to have him on but I would much rather more of everyone else. He was just boring. Learn to edit people
>"Raahdio!!!.."
How much coke do you think Marty did while filming this?
I love Ravi Shankar, but yeah he's kinda a boring fit for a rock concert movie. The whole festival is pretty much just known for Hendrix' performance.
can't wait for dat sweet new remaster to hit the trackers
Dylan and The Band kino doc right here
