How can one trilogy be so perfect.
How can one trilogy be so perfect
>"Darth" is treated like a name in 4
>"Darth" is treated like a title in 1-3, 5 & 6, and all expanded universe material
>The OT is somehow 'perfect' despite glaring continuity errors like this
>Manchildren Wars
It's not a continuity error at all. They barely talk about the Jedi and Sith in A New Hope and it's never alluded to what Darth means.
You're an idiot.
>It's another 'some retard who denies the significance of context will act like the dialogue during Obi-Wan and Vader's lightsaber duel isn't canon' episode
Wrong trilogy, m8
If you refering to how obi wan calls vader darth, he said that mockingly.
But Vader is proud of that title
A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back are legitimately great films. Return of the Jedi falls more on the mediocre side. It has a few awesome highlights, like its space battle and throne room sequence, though overall it's disappointing. Sadly, there hasn't be another film in the series to reach even the heights of the weakest installment of the Original Trilogy.
Vader wasn't even Luke's father until the final version of the ESB script.
Yeah, it's a continuity error
>No! Obi-wan killed your father!
Would it have been as good?
So what? The Last Jedi is shit on a stick and you're a homo for liking it.
>"Darth" is treated like a title in ... 5 & 6 ...
It actually is not.
Might be his artist's name.
And obi wan said it as if you shouldn't be proud to have that title
Dumb luck + John Williams doing the music.
So you do admit that it is is a title?
I don't like it, though.
>It actually is not
Yes it is.
Ewoks, Jedi Rocks, and every other shitty Lucas addition tarnish what could have been a perfect trilogy
For now, there is only one perfect trilogy
>Yes it is.
No it is not.
it's not a fault of the original movie if the sequels introduced continuity errors
Care to demonstrate that you're correct?
How many special editions has george lucas released over the years? maybe the next disney edition will finally take care of alec guiness' funky lines.
The only decent movie from that trilogy is episode V.
Care to demonstrate that you are?
I hope the "next disney edition" is just the movies with all the added crap and revisionist bullshit removed
Other Sith are established as having the title "Darth" in EU works released before the prequel films.
*drops mic*
Despecialised Editions by harmy.
No need for Disney.
From a certain point of view
Darth Vader is just a force powered lackey in ANH, he was never intended to be the same character as Anakin Skywalker since the film was written as self contained adventure film due to uncertainty of box office performance.
We are talking about 5 & 6.
Meaning TESB and ROTJ, not the EU...
>star shit
>perfect
I think you uploaded the wrong picture, champ
I want them to be (re)canonized
His name is established as "Anakin" in ESB, so his name can't be "Darth Vader." Otherwise Luke would be "Anakin Vader."
did I ever say it wan't a title? I way saying how obi wan used it as a name to mock vader.
Luke Vader, I mean
So I guess Michael Douglas cannot be Michael Keaton? < Google it
That would be like if I made fun of a prince by calling him a prince, it doesn't make sense.
Not at the same time, no.
>Not at the same time, no.
Troll? Or did you not google it?
Alice Cooper is not Vincent Furnier?
The first movie is a little boring and predictable, with great technical effects (for that time). With dull story - which is great in it's positiveness, but it still feels like a children's movie.
Empire Strikes Back, on the other hand, is AWESOME. It adds layers to what was previously just 1-dimensional story. It suprises viewer with twists and turns. It is still a children movie, but easily the only reasons why we still remember Star Wars today are all in this movie. All other Star Wars movies and cartoons are shit compared to ESB
Return of the Jedi gets some stuff right (the practical effects in Jabba the Hutt are great, if you can get the despecialized version), but overall is again too repetitive. And Slave Leia is stupid (reduces strong character to an eye candy). Ewoks are not so terrible as a concept, but they are OP.
So yeah ESB is the only good Star Wars movie.
Yeah one of those is a title
Okay, troll, got it.
It isn't what he said but how he said it.
>And Slave Leia is stupid (reduces strong character to an eye candy).
but she strangulates Jabba, so she must be really strong
>bubbba being gay
>Handy Solo not dying
>The E-woke niggas beating the army
It's not perfect.
look alice cooper is his stage name.
indeed it's the most impressive literal show of strength that character has ever done
>Empire was considered the weakest of the trilogy until Clerks
he legally changed it
She pulls an entire cruiser to her
every force has a counterforce, and the counterforce would have acted on her own mass so not really
though describing it as her "pulling the cruiser" is a weird way to put it, it's not scientifically inaccurate
the Force has no 'counterforce,' though, only a dark and light side.
Return of the Jedi is only good for the first thirty minutes, so it's more like a perfect 2 and 1/4 movies
I was talking of force in the physics sense
I mean the effect would be the same as if she was tethered to the ship with a rope and she pulled it
Even before clerks, my friends and I had concluded Empire was the best. It had the money from Hope, but hadn't gone off the deep end yet, like Jedi did with ewoks. Plus we liked the AT-ATs more than AT-STs
What makes you think that, though? There's no reason to think that that makes sense. I'm talking about The Force because this is Star Wars and that's what she uses to pull the cruiser to her.
the force would be just the mechanic of imparting a force, there's no reason to think otherwise
if there's no physical force involved then it's even weirder and you can't really even describe it as "pulling" because no such thing is happening if no classical mechanics are involved
How about you bugger off form Star Wars?
From my point of view the Jedi are evil
why do people get so mad about this?
