Snoke Thread

HE'S NOT DEAD

There a few things that don't add up with Snoke's death.

The first one is obvious. He was killed off way too early with no real back story. He was simply dismissed as not important after being built up to be this really big background presence.

The second one was the connection made possible by him between Rey and Ben. When Snoke was killed would the connection between Ben and Rey also have been lost? Their connection was still there even after Snoke was killed, they saw each other as Rey closed the door to the Millennium Falcon.

It could be that the connection was just opened by Snoke and would remain open without any further attention needed. But their connection always seemed to happened at the most random yet convenient times.

Third, If Luke was able to create a illusion of himself from lightyears away, what's the stop Snoke from doing the same thing? Snoke was already shown to be able to use his force abilities from lightyears away. His abilities with the dark side are shown to be much more powerful than anything we've seen before.

Fourth, he has a motive for doing so. Killing his master, Ben would be pushed even further into the dark side, and would essentially "complete" his training as Snoke said in The Force Awakens.

Snoke was always able to see the struggle within Ben. He was able to boomerang Lukes lightsaber and smack Rey in the head when she tried to be sneak and steal it back.

There's no way Snoke did not see Ben's betrayal coming.

He's not dead.

He made a connection. Once the connection was made, it was made. Then Snoke died.

No one said he had to actively maintain the connection.

As you said, he had no impact, if they brought him back it would mean almost nothing. He's done nothing for that to really be worth anything.

>Looks into Kylo's mind
>Sees him aiming his lightsabre to their most hated enemy so it'll kill them instantly
>Snoke fukkin dies
He thought that Kylo was going to kill Rey not him

Snoke is over. Sheev outsold.

I feel you OP. I even thought that they were going for the materialization of the dark side of the force itself, something that could travel between people and places and that would be constantly reappearing. He could be what made Palpatine evil in the first place.

He also says he knows what Kylo Ren would do and describes it perfectly ("move his saber and kill his true enemy"), which is funny because we are led to think he was talking about Rey, but what with he really wasn't the whole time and was truly talking of himself?

BUT

BUT...
This is just wishful thinking, who are we kidding? He is dead, that was it, folks. Accept it.

this is your brain on soy

Since Disney is retarded had no outline for the story it is literally up to Jar Jar Abrams to decided his fate.

>If Luke was able to create a illusion of himself from lightyears away, what's the stop Snoke from doing the same thing? Snoke was already shown to be able to use his force abilities from lightyears away. His abilities with the dark side are shown to be much more powerful than anything we've seen before.

>Fourth, he has a motive for doing so. Killing his master, Ben would be pushed even further into the dark side, and would essentially "complete" his training as Snoke said in The Force Awakens.

Could see all this being true, but we'll just have to wait & see how Episode IX plays out with SNOKE as well as Leia(R.I.P. Carrie Fisher)

They'll just have him show up as a SITH GHOST

Shut up, but I just had an inspiration of pure kino. Okay, so check this out:
>Kylo pulls his little lightsaber trick on Snoke
>Snoke looks down
>and then to Kylo
>and starts laughing
>panicked Kylo pulls the lightsaber forward
>but it won't budge
>Snoke keeps laughing and with a finger levitates one of his elite red guards over to him
>the guard is perfectly motionless and resolute
>Snoke forces off his helmet to reveal his face: white, handsome, kind of Sheev like
>Snoke then focuses and closes his eyes and the man's face contorts in agony
>this goes on for a few moments and then both the man and Snoke fall down, seemingly dead
>then the man gets up and examines his face in the reflective surface of his helmet
>then he turns to Kylo
>Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise...

would actually make sense and be a good story. too bad this is not that kind of movie

>Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise...
OH OH OH I HAVE

>The second one was the connection made possible by him between Rey and Ben. When Snoke was killed would the connection between Ben and Rey also have been lost? Their connection was still there even after Snoke was killed, they saw each other as Rey closed the door to the Millennium Falcon.

the connection was made when kylo tried to read inside of the mind of rey, awakening the force within her. it was kylo's doing, not snoke's. he was lying to break kylo's resolve, because at that point the easiest way for kylo to turn on rey would be to tell him he was being played.

>He was killed off way too early with no real back story. He was simply dismissed as not important after being built up to be this really big background presence.

And that's why it's a bad movie, user.

Whether you think the movie was good or not, let's keep this a Snoke thread.

>awakening the force within her
He gave her an orgasm?

Snoke is actually a deformed/disfigured Darth Maul. He's the only dark side force user who would be as powerful/old as they make Snoke out to be at the time of the movie. He's not dead because he saw what kylo was doing, and knew that the lightsaber would only cut off his robot legs, and he was just pretending to be dead.

Nice job user, but that's interesting, creative, and fun. So it could never be a part of NuWars.

I would but what is there to talk about?

How he went from grey skinned dark and myseriois hologram in TFA to a pink skinned gold wearing loser?

>He's not dead.
I really hope not, because then his death would be just like the rest of the plot to TLJ: pointless.

I feel like snoke is half the man he used to be.

This his purpose was to set up a more relatable Ren as someone powerful and evil.

Well they fucked that up didn’t they. Now both just look like B-list villains

No one said the connection could remain open.

It's all speculation. No one knows anything for sure.

The only reason I speculate that the connection has to be maintained is because of the convenient times Rey and Ben saw each other.

Even at the very end, Ben seeing Rey escape would cause him to grow angry and hateful that he failed yet again. Something that Snoke would want him to see.

But then again the literal reason for the connection was because Rian Johnson wanted some way for Ben and Rey to speak to each other without them doing it in person as they would just try to kill each other.

Who the fuck knows.

Holy shit. That could have been the "I am your father" of the nu-trilogy. Wasted fucking opportunity, Disney.

No you just don't get it OP. Rian Johnson is this generation's Hitchcock. This is his way of subverting audience expectation and being a true artist.

Please go watch the movie again. And bring your friends! And tell everybody to watch it over the Christmas break! Oh, and Wal-Mart is open 24/7, so be sure to pick up a Snoke plushie for your niece for Christmas!

If he’s indeed alive, then his death in TLJ would be rendered pointless (just like everything about him).
>every NuWars movie retroactively shits on the previous one
Now this is pottery.

Are we in the bargaining stage?

Can't believe people are still reading into this movie and making bullshit theories. They are making this fucking movies as they go along, they don't have shit planned, Rian Johnson didn't care about TFA or Episode 9. Even if JJ bullshits Snoke back to life, any clues about it would certainly not be hidden either in TFA (since they didn't know Snoke would be killed off) or in TLJ (since Rian didn't give a shit about Episode 9).

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Snoke The Guy? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jay Jay would tell you. It’s a Rian legend. Snoke was a guy, so powerful and so wise that he didn't see a lightsaber turning towards him before activating it.
He was a good friend

Better than what we got by several light years, and it was just some user on Sup Forums pitching an idea for fun. That shows how weak Rian and the Mickey Mouse Club are at writing.

Rian is unironically a fucking genius
He not only shit all over JJ's set ups in TFA, but put him in a predicament of doing asspulls to bring back his original ideas or continue with Rians retarded bullshit dead end
I mean jesus christ he killed off everyone BUT leia, how more obvious do you want it to get?

The real question is how Rian got away with this. Absolute madman

>Rian is unironically a fucking genius
Kill yourself, or rather search up what the word unironically means before you shitpost.

If his plan was to stop the mouse from raping Star Wars for the next 50 years, he's the hero everyone deserves

Was your plan to ironically get mad or unironically?

so Sheev is Snoke's bodyguard? Snoke's apprentice? this is all happening about 2 decades after he died, i dont get why everyone here is circlejerking over your nonsensical idiotic scenario. Are you saying Palpatine is Plagius? How the fuck could he have predicted snokes death in ROTS

just fuck off ok

Snoke was inside Kylo's mind influencing him with the dark side since he was in Leia's womb
>it's implied that Plagueis and Sheev made Anakin using the force
>Kylo is his grandson
Goddammit, it would have made too much sense for Snoke to be Plagueis. The reason we never see him in the OT? He's hiding from Sheev, who tried to kill him. Why is he so strong with the dark side? He taught fucking Sheev. Why did he insist he couldn't be betrayed? Because Sheev already "killed" him once. Fucking hacks at Disney, it would have been perfect.

Holy fuck you're dumb. I bet you unirionically enjoyed The Last Jedi and watch Rick and Morty.

>implying any of this was an intentional screw up
Dude they were hoping to make buku money. Also he has his own trilogy on the line. Intentionally fumbling at the goal wasn't something crossing their minds. They are just stupid and incompetent. Maybe the dude made a decent film here or there, but this isn't some art-house film festival.

Those are real things. Humanity was a mistake.

these are just repurposed family guy plushies

Traditionally, all Sith apprentices succeed their masters via rage-induced murder. Snoke knew Kylo was going to kill him the whole time, he just needed to plant the seeds of conquest in his head rather than redemption to complete the cycle and ensure a worthy successor.

he very obviously has died before and discovered the elusive immortality Lord Sidious was after

>please kill me

You know JJ is bribing him back and giving him a real backstory after the backlash to his death.

Of course he is. And it's disgusting that there's absolutely no vision to these movies.

then explain to me you fucking genius. Are you saying Snoke is a continuation of the emperor and all these people are Plageuis and every time one dies he just passes on himself to another body?

its gonna be great

Hes dead

Snoke is Plagueis. The guard just has a passing resemblance to Sheev, as a homage.

You are a fucking dummy.

And here's another idea, free of charge: Snoke/Plagueis' main ability is, as Palpatine said, to influence midichlorians. That's how he's so powerful - he "influences" the midicholrians from one force user's body and puts them under his control, expanding his force power. That's how he's so unbelievably strong. His interest in Kylo, which was from birth, was to get him nice and fat on the force before sucking him dry. That's why he ridicules him for not being comparable to Vader yet. He wants Luke to eat his midichlorians, and when Rey shows up, tries to eat hers, too. Thus, this proves just how fucking stupid the idea of midichlorians are when there's a character capable of imposing his will upon them. It also makes Snoke/Plagueis the most threatening Star Wars villain ever, and makes Sheev out to be even better than he was for essentially one-upping a literal force vampire. Snoke's Nosferatu-esque appearance would make sense, too.

Ahh, if only.

>HE'S NOT DEAD
>
>There a few things that don't add up

THERE IS NO PLAN

THERE IS NO ARC

THEY HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA WHERE THIS IS GOING

So no, they didn't add any "clues" that you can find, because nothing about the next movie was known or hinted at. JJ had no direction giving it to Rian. Rian has no direction or purpose when he gives it back. They're literally just making shit up as they go along.

Yes, it is that bad. No, they didn't learn shit from MCU.
