A small but important character that shows growth with minimum screen time

Has always been my favorite character.

I felt sad for biggs though...

You're easily impressed.

And Dennis Lawson also wanted no part in Disney Wars.

Was he important? Or was he one of the only pilots whose name is mentioned in the film and then had a bunch of action figures made of him?

I think his backstory will be properly explored in the 2045 Porkins standalone film.

He was part of both attacks on the Deathstar and the battle on Hoth.

Already has been in Rebels

Legit one of my favorite characters in star wars. Setting aside the EU where he was a pilot God, I love how in the first movie he was a random rookie pilot and by Return he was the new red leader. It really showed the passage of time and I've never seen another movie do something similar

He got a free pass at Yavin

- Major part of Death Star 1 attack.
- Took down an Imperial Walker on Hoth
- Along with the Falcon, destroyed Death Star 2.

Wedge is based as fuck.

Soy Wars rebel pilots instead, didnt even engaged the enemies...they died into the hangar top kek.

Dennis Lawson who played Wedge Antilles is actually the uncle of Ewan McGregor.

why did they get rid of so many side actors from TFA? LIke why couldn't we have had one of the LOST guys as the Vice Admiral? or the (((comander d'acy))))?

Biggs made it feel like you were in a real war with consequences. Biggs was Luke’s child hood friend and some what of a mentor/bigbro. Luke might now have even joined the rebellion if it weren’t for Biggs influence and guidance. Biggs death is a gut punch to Luke to show how desperate everything is, and that he himself isn’t safe. They weren’t shooting womprats anymore in there T-16’s back home.

Biggs is barely even a character in ANH, unless you're really paying attention you don't even realize he's the same guy Luke was talking about on Tatooine. You're assigning importance to him based on EU stuff

luke and biggs literally have a scene together on Yavin IV where they talk about home

They didn't have enough interaction. They should have left the Toshi station scene. youtube.com/watch?v=vYpa6OpCe-Y

He was barely in the theatrical cut. Scenes that revealed who he was to Luke were added in later cuts.

This and it also depends if you consider their deleted scene from ANH canon or not. They have a pretty long five minute scene which was cut from almost all editions of the film where Biggs talks to Luke on tatooine at Tosche Station.

Here’s the scene -

The scene is still in the novelization.

>Rebels
So is it a good show? Is it like the Clone Wars, or a kiddie show?

It’s clone wars but generally for audience 2 - 5 years younger than what the clone wars intended for

clone wars was a kiddie show, sorry dude.

First season is pretty shit, but it gets better. Never gets as good as clone wars though.

>random rookie pilot
He was a TIE pilot who defected from the Empire.

>A-Wing pilot.
>Flying in formation with bombers.
>While they all die due to no fighter cover
>Makes you think

Wedge is a boss, I was let down when I heard the guy who played him declined to be in TFA, but now am glad he didn't come back so they couldnt butcher him in TLJ

>Implying Clone Wars isn't a kiddie show
>Implying the hyped up episodes aren't boring shit

>couldnt butcher him in TLJ
He would have died of toxic masculinity.

>Took down an Imperial Walker on Hoth
I still credit that to Wes fucking Janson.
Wedge just flew round in a circle a few times, Janson managed to fire a fucking harpoon weighed down by a tow cable at a moving target from probably 100 metres away while travelling super fast at a difficult angle.
Great shot indeed.
Most underrated character in the franchise.

>Wedge is based as fuck.
Indeed.

I know that it was a kid's show, but it was a good kids show.

Probably after having their poster soyboy Poe fly literal circles around him while telling yo momma jokes

Wedge's brother is Snoke?

Might as well be

Old EU. Wedge's sister was married to Baron Fel, who was the empire's best pilot, and eventually goes on to become leader of a reborn empire.

>leader of a reborn empire
Personally I would say that's a bit of an exaggeration as to the nature of the Empire of the Hand

Fuck this scene feels like the intro to a gay porno that god they cut it.

He probably would have been killed off screen and only mentioned in passing, just like Ackbar.

>Obama new emperor
Legit

>remember Wedge?
>he died saving his wife's son, Poe Dameron

Thank God he's not in nu-Star Wars. That's even worse.

Tbf if it was Jag Fel I'd be fine with that cuz he's a pretty cool pilot and doesn't afraid of anything

>I doubt they would even save the system
Whoa depth

No sweeties

learn english or fuck off. I feel dumber just reading your post.

Jesus Christ, thanks for reminding me that it could always be worse.
