Why didn't that Groovenians show catch on? Their pilot episode was pretty good.

Did you not smoke weed before watching it?
That is just green lantern if he was a clerk and not the funny kind of clerk.
How about something new?

It's funny how history rolls its dice... And how Seth Macfarlane almost died on 9/11
If it's only good when you're on drugs than it's not really good.
You could watch some trippy music videos on YouTube and get the same effect.
>Their pilot episode was very good
>Links that shit
C'mon, OP.
AND NOW FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS MORE POPULAR AS PORN

AND EXTRA PASTEL

Im in constant payne that this show never got picked up, from what I heard the guy in charge was trying to organize an animators Union so Nick bought the right then buried it as a fuck you to him.
I remember seeing this as a kid and thinking it was awesome
man was I wrong

Come on fellas, you gotta have SOME stuff to post to try and make a worthwhile thread.
>Wizzard
But where's Rincewind?
I dunno if things that actually got a few shorts on oh yeah cartoons count but I'm eternally upset pic related never became a full series.
>an entire plot about someone getting a cell phone and wanting to show it off
this is dated in the best way and pretty enjoyable regardless. also the dude's girlfriend is a cutie
Shit, that was good.
What's up with the second link though?
When CN uploaded it to their official channel, it came out extremely over-saturated and full of artifacts.
No word on whether the saturation was a mistake or an intentional decision, though. I kind of like it.
Well the first one was the original... And then Cartoon Network uploaded a version of it on their own youtube channel with a fucking potato or something.

YOU WILL BELIEVE A HORRIBLE BURGER MONSTER CAN JUGGLE.
Why did CN get rid of the "Cartoon Cartoons" concept?
Multiple reasons.
What did most of the Cartoon Cartoons have in common? One, they started off as shorts, and kids voted on whichever one they liked best to become a full series (Ed, Edd n Eddy was the one that wasn't based off a short). Two, the Cartoon cartoons started off as being animated by Hanna-Barbera, then they transferred over to digital animation when H-B was deprecated. They had similar animation styles (again with the exception of EEnE): flat, angular, 60s-esque stuff.
Codename Kids next door was the last show to premiere under the Cartoon Cartoon brand, since that was CN's last original show to be greenlit based on voting results from kids. Shows like Camp Lazlo, Hi Hi Puffy amiyumi, and Class of 3000 had no business being under the Cartoon Cartoon name since those were simply CN original series made from scratch with no Hanna-Barbera connection, and the animation styles had changed.

Butch is one of those guys whose work you instantly recognize...
Oh man, I wish it caught on so I could ship Kitty and Maggie
It actually took until the cat for it to click for me
I am still certain that Night in the Woods was inspired by this pilot.
Butch you can't just keep hiring the same 3 people to do voice work!
That style just fucking kills it. One look and all interest is immediately drained.
The animation in this is way smoother than the designs kind of imply it would have. It's almost jarring, but I like it.
>Politically Correct Person
Heh.

I know I probably should've grabbed the title card, but this felt more... Compelling.

Butch who's dick did you suck to get so many things greenlit for air?
Speaking of show creators with immediately distinct and identifiable styles, here's Rob Renzetti
Definitely a big fan of these. Song at the end of 3 Dog Band is great.
For comparison, super pilot edition of: "My Life as a Teenage Robot."
And, last thing I'm posting for tonight, The F-Tales

Which I'd honestly forgotten was also made by Rob.

This kills me because Moobeard sounds bizarrely like JonTron.
I'd fuck/draw Glindy. She has a cute design and I haven't seen any art of her. Love her expressions.
Other than that, yeah, shitty pilot, but I love seeing animated pilots.
Cartoon Cartoons>Oh Yeah Cartoons!
An interesting debate topic, to be sure.
What do you guys think?
>This looks so much better than Mighty Magiswords.
Why did animation have to become so cheap?
What A Cartoon by a mile.
It was still interesting to see the shorts made for OYC but I can't really remember any that stick out like WAC ones do.
To be fair pilot are always made with a bigger budget that a show, still, the humor in Moobeard pilot is a lot better that magiswords, and it's feels longer even if it has a shorter lenght
I really wish this show caught on. The art style and big city aesthetic are so comfy. The actual pilot isn't that great but it had a lot of potential.

There was once a time where adventure time would show up in a thread like this
Better days
That was pretty good. I love Anachronisms.
Here's a classic

did your mom drop you on your head or something? no, it wasn't, it sucked
>Blonde Vicki
>Laugh Track included for no extra charge
Wow...
