Do normies only hate this movie because it makes all their stupid theories worthless?

Do normies only hate this movie because it makes all their stupid theories worthless?

Normies don't make fan theories. Nerds and normies are on the same side this time, and the only demographics that like TLJ are soyboys and feminists

What's a soyboy? I liked The Last Jedi, I guess mostly because it had new stuff instead of being purely a remake.

normies dont hate the movie. 90% of the bad reviews, especially on rotten tomatoes, are from reddit and Sup Forums collaborative raiding to reduce the score. i was in the first thread for it here.

Yes they don't make theories, but they share and believe them. And after 2 years of theories about Snoke and Reys parents this movie is a middle finger to them and thats why everybody says it's bad.

the hell is a soyboy?

it was purely a remake.

t. soyboys

The casino scene was pretty fresh

kill yourself shill rat

t. shills surprised the lingo has changed since the last time they were around

>The moment when Sup Forums decides that the actual contrarian opinion is to love TLJ

Like clockwork, you goddamn subhumans.

I'm actually worried this is the reason I liked TLJ. I'm pretty sure I'd hate it if it were as critically acclaimed as the piece of shit that was TFA.

>I liked TLJ for its novelty

The most cuckolded type of fanboy.

What new stuff?

At least it wasn't a exact copy of the original like TFA was.

it IS critically acclaimed dumbass

>movie 1 encourages you to emotionally invest into a story
>movie 2 takes a massive dump all over that story

>reeeeeee stop liking what i dont like
The whole casino scene, the bomber ships, even the porgs.

"Real" critics don't matter anymore, it's all about what people say on normie social media.

and on social media tlj was getting critical acclaim. the ONLY people hating are reddit and Sup Forums

if it wasn’t a star wars series, would anyone care? the answer is no
characters are ass, plot is convoluted, nothing of value is achieved
it’s a rotten shitty movie at its core, but it exists and receives praise for injecting new shit into the star wars canon. that’s literally it, and why it’s divisive

>when the paid shills don't know the insider terms

Why would it exist if it weren't Star Wars? That's a non argument. If it weren't Star Wars it would be a Star Wars ripoff...
I wish they paid me to say I like TLJ.

>movie 1 presents a story with many loose ends
>director leaves the mess to someone else
>over the next 2 years fans set their expectations far too high
>new director trys to fix the mess by ignoring it

i thought about this the other day. the original trilogy stands alone as a compelling story. the prequels could stand alone as a compelling story, albeit eccentricly crafted.
TFA barely gets by as an independent science fiction film. its existence as a star wars film is really the only thing that makes it compelling, though. rogue one: same thing. it’s hollow shit no one would care about were it not star wars.
TLJ is epecially bad because it does very little to further the canon. it’s just there, as a shit film.
