This. The prequels were still firmily George's vision, played out in his mind with the full context of his original trilogy. Themes and lore brewing in his mind for decades.
Even if they were poorly done movies, they still felt genuine. Just like a bad memory is still real even if you dont like dwelling on it.
The Disney movies are meaningless. Inconsistent fanfic thrown together and sold to the masses as official just because the author happens to be a billion dollar company with ownership rights.
