every frame a painting

How many clone wars series did it take to make you think more kindly on these films? For me it was all of them

The visuals didn't hold up

Where are their feet?

Looks like a PS2 game.

Which part of Final Fantasy 8 is this?

he's talking about the prequels, not the force cuckwakens.

It looks bad now, but remember: it was groundbreaking CGI at the time.

One of my biggest disappointments with Lucas not making the new trilogy is that we won't see where he would push film technology.

>walking and talking
>sitting and talking
>walking and walking
>sitting then getting up to talk
>talking then sitting...

scenes like that one in the OP never looked good

I fucking love God of War backgrounds in a talking scene. Are all prequel apologists mentally challenged?
Did Sup Forums start pretending to like them or something? How many fucking threads a day?

the boring part which was all of it :^)

>every frame a PS2 render.

> it was groundbreaking CGI at the time.

Kingdom of heaven was made in 2005

Never got the issue with this.

>ever pillar has a shadow except for the most prominent one

What did Luke S mean by this?

>WHERE ARE MY SPACE ASPLOSHUNS?!

I normally don't let extraneous material change my mind on terrible movies because I'm not mildly retarded, or trying to fit in with dumb children.

Phantom Menace was 1999.

good thing thats from 2002

It's really boring. There are more compelling ways to frame a conversation. Doesn't help that the dialogue is god awful too.

all of the "talking" scenes were shot so unimaginatively

the awful script didn't exactly help either

The constant plot expositions were my favourite part of the original trilogy too

every frame a poem

>2005
Here's the Jedi Temple corridor with 2005 tech.

Are we really going to judge a 15 years old movie with today's tech? No shit it looks bad. I remember everyone raving about it when the movie was released, though.

Looks pretty bad.

>It's really boring.
That's subjective.
That's Mike's biggest problem. He conflates his opinion with objective judgement of effectiveness of filmmaking.

pfft
OP's looks bad. That looks great and we both know it you pathetic subhuman filth.

>Are we really going to judge a 15 years old movie with today's tech?
When movies from the 80's look better, yes.

"star wars was a mistake"
G.L., 2012.

Yeah? show me these movies then.

Are you saying you actually enjoy that garbage? Like, not fishing for (You)'s, you actually thought it was good?

>When movies from the 80's look better
I can cherrypick too, you nigger.

that looks way better tho

Yes, honestly.
It's beyond insane how high a pedestal the OT is put on. ANH and RotJ are just as clumsy as the PT, but it doesn't matter because I enjoy the stories.

...

They fixed most of the storyline and characters in some of the worst films yet created

objectively wrong
Look at the actors.

>some of the worst films yet created
the delusion is off the charts

>ANH and RotJ are just as clumsy as the PT
Absolutely not, they have far better actors and editing and story structure and just about everything that matters.

See kids, rampant contrarianism rots your brain

Repeating what Honest Trailers said does not count as an argument.

I'm looking and it still looks more natural than the one in the OP

>muh practical effects

He was 4 when Episode 3 first came out, give him a break.

What if that is the person that runs Honest Trailers? What now contrarian?

Made me kek.

>and editing and story structure
RotJ fails hard at both of these though.
>they have far better actors
Fisher and Hamill are serviceable at best most of the time.

Why the fuck is the temple so empty? What do the jedi even do there?

>criticisms don't count if they are shared by other people

>nudged the contrast a little
>fixed the whole damn thing

Walking and talking, mostly.

Explain why.

I don't understand your issue. The films state that the Jedi are spread thin across the galaxy.

Old matte painting still looks good compared to early CG backgrounds like op

wew

Sure.

They can't retroactively change a movie. it's going to be dogshit forever.

>They can't retroactively change a movie.
But Mike Stoklasa's main, central complaint in the RotS review was that Anakin isn't developed enough.
That is fixed by TCW.

Walking down corridors with a horizon visible is incredible meditative and allows one the ability to have deeper reflection.

holy...

What is this post implying?
That looks fine.

So what if the jedi are spread thin? The temple would still be empty design wise. It's all just corridors and halls.

>Sup Forums is still being contrarians over the PT
nothing new

it looks magnificent

looks kino

Is this guy autistic?

...

>Special Edition
Hello underage

looks like a ps3 cutscene

And there's no problem with that.
The only angle you could possibly nitpick it from would be that it's extrvagent for the Jedi, but
1. that's probably on purpose by Lucas
and
2. He shows that Yoda isn't extravagant by showing his bare quarters, meaning that we can safely assume the Temple was not commissioned by the current Jedi leadership

Are you being edgy and pretending they were good?

youtube.com/watch?v=_hoXNXSpmng

wtf I love the ps3 now

>and pretending they were good?
I sincerely think they are good though.
>edgy
Where would edginess come into this either way? Dumb buzzword poster.

was there really an eclipse in that scene?

>KINO

Prequels>numale Wars. Anyone who disagree needs to go back.

Their robes are taller than they are, they're just being lifted by the force.

Who knows? The average intelligence of this board is so low that it's become impossible to distinguish between retards and people that are just pretending.

Fair enough.
Even the second one though?

...

Why does only yoda get a flying chair

kino

Because he can't keep pace with normal humans. That is until he can. I guess Yoda just hobbles to fuck with people?

OP's pic is a matte painting, though.

Looks like CG to me, but if it really is a matte painting, it's not a good one.

...

...

why was it so easy to assassinate george lucas's character

Yeah, it doesn't look great but the Star Wars website says that this shot was a matte painting nonetheless.

>Many of the hallways in both Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith were realized as partial sets with miniatures added by ILM and in the cases where you see more then the hallway (like Episode II’s hallway with Yoda and Mace Windu talking or Episode III’s outside view) a matte painting was used to complete the shot. The bodies of the dead younglings that Obi-Wan and Yoda find in Episode III were played by a couple of extras, among them sons of crew members.

He's not wrong.
