Storytime: Green Lantern 89 & 90 plus extras

Tonight we conclude the famous Green Lantern / Green Arrow run by Dennis O'Neil and Neal Adams. It started with Green Arrow giving Green Lantern a wake up call, and it will end with Green Arrow needing a wake up call all his own!

Another one of those great pages of those two hanging out I love these.

Green Arrow is suppose to the bad guy in this instance, right?

...

Subtle.

And now the final story, which for some reason doesn't have a cover.

I wonder why this is never brought up on the internet.

I could use a bump if anyone is reading.

No seriously, I really need a bump.

Thanks.

And that's it. Sort of an anticlimactic ending if you ask me.

But don't leave yet, we got a couple more pages of stuff.

The trade had some sort of extra story in it, I don't know where it came from. The coloring is clearly different.

Green Arrow doesn't show up in this at all.

A couple more things after this.

This picture of them yelling at each other is so well drawn.

Was Ollie shot in the head.

I also like this cover.

So dramatic.

And that's it! I hope you had fun reading over the week.

Bump.

Thanks for storytiming, OP

>tfw no Ollie/Hal team up ever again

This.

I am not going out into the woods with you, Hal.

It doesn't have a cover because it was never published in the main GL series.

DC killed Green Lantern's ongoing with issue #89 due to low sales and said story was already in the works when the cancellation order went down.

DC moved Hal over to the pages of the Flash for four years and said "Death of an Archer" was rewritten to run in several issues of the Flash as a backup story and write Ollie out so they could do stand-alone Hal stories.

Hence why it has no cover

Said story starting with this post AGAIN is a Flash backup story featuring Hal during the four years he was without an ongoing faggot.

Neal Adams got brought back to do a new story for Hal during this time. It was omitted from earlier GL/GA trades but included in the collections released since the early 00s
