Has there been a better anime parody than this in Sup Forums?
Has there been a better anime parody than this in Sup Forums?
Yes but that was ALSO South Park with Chinpokomon
A strong runner-up.
That Sailor Moon episode of Megas XLR.
I wanna say Megas XLR in general but, semantics maybe, it's more of an homage.
Also Princess Kenny.
>The vast majority of anime parodies all go for DBZ, Sailor Moon, Speed Racer, Voltron, or Pokemon
>With almost no deviation
It's not exactly a high bar.
yeah but South park has set the bar high now
Dexter's Lab.
And then Koos turns into a giant tumor monster.
>the captain Harlock episode
Maybe, but that was more parody than anything.
Classic
I feel like I'd appreciate Megas more if I rewatched it now since I know a lot more about /m/ stuff than I did as a kid. And that's saying a lot since I loved it back then too.
This is my favorite TV opening parody ever.
This guy and his man thong made me uncomfortable when I first saw him, the thighhighs and heels don't help things.
I miss Girlchan so much
Surprisingly, Angry Beavers
Not exactely a parody but there is this japenses-animated gem.

>Egoraptor will never be funny again
>Jon will never return to Game Grumps
Speaking of Gumball, do JRPG's count? Because as far as Gumball went, they referenced some more obscure shit, and not the low hanging Final Fantasy Fruit.
South Park was able to do more with their rating though, whereas many cartoons are for younger audiences, so they can't go too nuts.
What if the whole show IS an anime parody?
>pizzacutter sword
I still can't get over the fact that that show had a theme by Beat Crusaders.
Did any other cartoons get themes by Japanese groups besides that and Teen Titans? Those are the only two to come to mind.
Do comics based on cartoons count?
