Season 1 episode 1

Season 2, when it's the French Connection instead of a bunch of niggers. Then it gets into city politics and corruption, totally transforms the show.

It doesn't. Watch Homicide instead.

season 3, and then peaks in season 4
you can actually just watch those two

for me it was when we finally seen avon barksdale

It never really does. It's an interesting show and depicts crime and the state's response to it on a surprisingly accurate level.

But as a show it's just not quite that engaging, you can tell because they had to resort to strange odd-ball characters or quirks to keep things lively (Omar, Senator Davis, Bunk, etc.)

>McNulty
>not engaging

Kill yourself.

It's worth sticking through the whole journey for the end:

I've never been to America but by the end it gave me the feeling I'd been in Baltimore for a good period of my life, and was letting it go.

>I want someone who is a detective but doesn't act like one
Stereotypes exist because they are real, you pathetic cave dweller.
