Why is there only one sword?

Why is there only one sword?
Why is there only one chosen one?

Because the Gods only crafted one.

Because then it would be the chosen two or three

Chosen ONE. Are you retarded?

Hero fantasy.

oh mate lemme just call up another three chosen ones eh get the gods on me phone to make some more swords eh

Have you ever seen a story with multiple chosen ones that didn't devolve into dick measuring between the chosen at some point?

Hellboy.

Multiple prophecies, multiple roles to play. Everyone gets to suffer and try and run from destiny!

In Birth of Evil, the sword's material came from within Jack's dad and was forged by the gods. It's not the god's power - it's a manifestation of humanity's essential goodness that opposes Aku's essential evil.

Jack's the "chosen one" because he was raised from birth to have a pure and good heart and thus worthy to wield it, which he demonstrates again and again in the show. When Jack went crazy and lost hope, he lost his own essential goodness and thus his connection to the sword.

It's simply not discussed what would happen if the sword was truly destroyed. Likely another could be made so long as humanity and human goodness exists.

To put it another way, the sword itself doesn't defeat Aku, it's human goodness manifested in the sword.

Jack isn't the chosen one. His father is

Dark Souls 1
Everyone gets to be the Chosen Undead! Now you just have to complete the prophecy.

t. person who actually watched the fucking show

Chosen one. One of the Chosen.

>Why is there only one sword?
Cause then it wouldn't be special
>Why is there only one chosen one?
Cause the official tital is "Chosen One," not chosen two or more

Was there really milk? Was there actually cookies?

>Why is there only one sword?
There isn't

Why do you think the Scotsman was hunted down buy Aku's minions as much as Jack?

this also explains why the god's don't just stop aku themselves. they're leaving it up to humanity, to prove that their goodness can prevail over evil.

>"I mean, we've kind of never dealt with a shapeshifting abomination made of pure evil before. Can we at least get some helpful hints?"

Episode 10 is going to end with Jack defeating Aku by hugging him or something because the true power of righteousness is within him and not the sword, isn't it? Which is the reason he didn't kill Ashi, he realized it was literally the goats all over again and killing her would've had the sword forsake him, right in front of Aku this time.

Episode 10 is going to be the cop-out of all cop-outs.

Jack didn't kill Ashi because he loves her, and he can't bear to hurt her even if it costs him his mission. Being unable to sacrifice someone else has always been one of Jack's defining traits, but this is the first time he's had a really personal stake in the person in question.

The power of the sword DOES come from within, though, you're not wrong. Birth of Evil and even the comics touch on this. Perhaps Jack will literally pull a weapon out of his chest to fight Aku with, crib from older sources there.

So wait, when Jack lost his first sword, does that mean he also lost his father's soul?

>"Uhhhh we really just slapped it around a bunch until it died and Vishnu popped a few million arrows into it. Good luck!"

Fucking kek. That's not how it works but I'd love to see that used in a movie.

CHOSIMBA

No god damn it
