Hang the DJ is easily the best one of the new season.
GREAT TIER
1. Arkangel
GOOD TIER
2. Hang the DJ
OK TIER
3. Black Museum
4. USS Callister
5. Metalhead
SHITE TIER
6. Crocodile
Holy shit theyve used Karl Pilkigton's story i Black Museum! Those absolute madman! Sad not to see Clyde Warren in it.
Watch season 4, episode 1
Brooker is a hack fraud
It is a rip off of the twilight zone episode where the kid can have anything
He even has a character get their mouth removed like the kid in the twilight zone does to his sister
Then he rips off his own episode by having a character be blackmailed into following orders from an anonymous source who has incriminating online info on them
Then he ends it exactly like the haunted house computer game one
HACK FRAUD!
Just finished episode 3.
Why did she kill the husband and child of the investigator? Also, what was the purpose of her buying the porno in the hotel?
My 2 cents
1. Hang the DJ - happy ending, kept me glued the whole way
2. Black Museum - Apart from the shitty SJW themes, it had pretty good storylines that could've been expanded a bit more
HUGE POWER GAP
3. USS Callister - lots of plotholes, felt like they were making you hate on the beta genius and siding with the annoying normies
4. Arkangel - The idea of parents being overprotective and making children even more rebellious is a tad bit overdone, plus there wasn't much new tech in this one
YET ANOTHER POWER GAP
5. Crocodile - This was a CSI rip off with retarded stuff like a 60kg women pushing that guy, also wtf guinea pig ending
POWER GAP
6. Metalhead - this felt like it was written in 10 minutes, with the black&white on it so it felt different. I just felt so bored through it.. didn't even develop the storyline, just a shitty chase
Killed the husband because he knew where the qt muzzy was. Kills the kid because she was worried they'd look at his memories but the kid was blind anyway
Not sure why she turned in the porno...seemed unnecessary
Also, I went on twitter to see and damn, this show turned into the kind of thing a nigress would praise
BM turned into a mass type of show meant to cater liberals with their SJW themes
She killed the husband because the investigator told him her name and she was investigating her. Then she killed the child because he saw her.
She put on the porn to have an "alibi" of sorts.
DUDE WHAT IF TECHNOLOGY COULD DO X BUT IT WAS ACTUALLY BAD LMAO
Great tier
>Crocodile
>Hang the DJ
Good tier
>Black Museum
>Arkangel
Fine tier
>USS Callister
Syfy original movie tier
>Metalhead
Are these serious questions? I'll answer them
She killed the husband because he heard his wife mention her name. She killed the kid because she thought the kid saw her and she knows of the recall tech, so not hard to assume she thought the kid could be used to find her. She bought the porno to bolster her alibi, not a great idea but not something totally ridiculous
>racemix
>get turned into a monkey
Holy shit this is pottery
it's been shit since it left the telly
TOLL STATUS: PAID
BM was ok ish for the first 2 season. Now it's just straight up SJW propaganda.
Why dont we try to keep star wars discussion to one thread, YOU FUCKING JEWS!!!!!!!!
Is Hang the DJ a reference to The Smiths? Panic is my favorite Smiths song.
Crocodile is so bad hahahahah
Hang the DJ and Black Museum are the only 2 episodes with the "unknown" factor that keeps you watching to discover what is going on, the rest were predictable even Crocodile.
I also hated that they recycled the white chrirstmas theme in many ways, it's the "What is conscience" season.
Black Museum
Although Hang the DJ is the only black mirror style episode this season
Don't forget he also came up with the Doctor Machine:
How seriously sloppy does your writing has to get to resemble something Mister Dilkington came up
Arkangel had a good premise and could've been a cool critique of safe spaces and privacy settings for children and their toys/browser history etc but felt like they were pulling their punches and didn't really do anything with the premise.
So what was the point of Arkangel? Single mothers should be executed?
That was a Penn Jilette story he wqs credited
Karl can fuck off
It was a metaphor about overprotective parents.
Not really about technology as that thing would never come to existance in real life,
Was anyone else annoye with how overt the references to other episodes were? I mean aside from Black Museum where it was kind of the point it felt like really blatant fan service.
This tbqh
Series 4 Rankings:
Metalhead
USS Callister
Hang The DJ
Black Museum
Crocodile
Arkangel
None of them, they are all trash. Watch any other season instead.
>tfw you always love the episodes everyone hates and hate the episodes everyone loves
Loved Crocodile and didn't care for Arkangel, blow me
How For Crocodile they forced the song into it and it didn't feel organic at all
>I love that song!
>Oh let's play that song 10 times even though it's meaning is lost now
This
All of them had a similar digital consciousness themes except metalhead(shit) it's just not as creative as the other season
because the husband knew she went to investigate Mia and the child "saw her", the porno was an alibi
What? Everyone hates Arkangel, I feel like I'm the only one that lives it
Have they made an episode about swatting yet?
For those of you who have watched all of them
How would you rate the episodes based on Family Friendly-ness for a young highschooler?
What exactly happened to the world in that Metalhead episode?
What the fuck was Metalhead, apart from shit.
Why did you like metalhead so much?
Literally fell asleep halfway through Hang the DJ 2bh
>turn on metalhead
>it's all black and white
Please tell me the whole episode isn't like this
The most soul crushing episode to date is The Entire History of You. It convinced me that everyone cheats. I could never trust any woman in a relationship.
I wonder why Brooker thought he could get away with having "stick a thing on your temple" as a way to do literally anything involving a brain.
I liked Arkangel. I don't think it's bad story by any means. Maybe it was less "dark and shocking" and more "melodramatic and grounded", I agree, but I think in the category it was trying it fit it worked well.
Yes
Metalhead is the only one without any sexual stuff
Tbh I quite enjoyed that we didn't really have much context for anything, but I also like that it was an unusually tense episode with little dialogue.
I also thought it was beautifully shot, the black and white footage really did wonders for it imo
It is.
Which season would you recommend as the undisputed best.
The daughter didn't turn out the way she did because the mother was overprotective. She turned out the way she did because she had no father.
>I feel like I'm the only one that lives it
Wait, what? Are you posting from the future??
Arkangel was kinda dumb
>you spied on me so I'm going to beat you nearly to death
USS Callister, Arkangel and Crocodile don't have anything that would necessarily be out of bounds for the average American high schooler to see on TV. Violence but no nudity.
Metalhead is the same but is an entirely shitty episode, so don't waste your time.
I just watched it and I don't understand all this praise for hang the DJ I thought it was absolutely terrible.
Callister, Arkangel, and Crocodile were all better than DJ.
wtf do you people like about DJ?
It had the nicest artistic style to it but nothing else. It was just "what if we did a zombie movie except the zombies were boston dynamic dogs" the sci-fi concept wasn't a replacement for a good episode. It felt like filler and not enough suspense/tension or survival aspect. The teddy bears at the end just had no emotional weight or surprise.
You can trivialise any episode like this.
>you made digital copy of me so i'm going to kill you inside the videogame
And also you apparently didn't get that she was beating her so hard because he couldn't see her properly because of filer.
Anybody else notice how the only "bad guys" this season has were all white males. And then you had the white female but they constantly showed her having remorse and stress, while the white males revels in their evil ness. Anyone else kinda thinks it was a bit too on the nose?
The only three episodes are worth watching are:
>hang the DJ (best one)
>Black Museum (Only first two stories. It goes downhill once the main exhibit is revealed)
>USS Callister
And they're not even that great. We'll never achieve White Christmas levels of greatness now that Netflix and americans got their hands on the series.
Season 3. He reached his peak then, and is slowly falling to brain dead tier. Either Brooker is losing it or he just did Season 4 as a prank. Pic related.
The daughter was a terrible person, lied, did drugs and had sex at age 15. She needed a father in her life and based Foster showed us what happens when you have a weak single mom raising children.
It's compelling, cute and has a happy ending. Same reasons why most people (actual people, not necessarily Sup Forums) loved San Junipero
3
like half life
I can't remember a single episode of season 3 except that one retarded one with the bees. Oh yeah and the pedo one, that was kinda funny.
Season 1 is perfect
Season 2 is good if you include white christmas
Season 3 is good apart from like 2 episodes which are a bit rehashed and americanised which i dont like
I did like San Junipero but how the fuck can you say DJ was compelling? I didn't give a shit what was happening to those people.
Everyone says they were bored with Crocodile but was actually interested in that one.
>Oh yeah and the pedo one, that was kinda funny.
Yeah it was cool how the villain turned out to be the good guy
It's more that all the protagonists were women or darkies.
what about crocodile
I feel empty after watching this whole season in 2 days.
Haven't touched my netflix watchlist in months either.
What the fuck should I watch now don't feel passionate about anything else
Season 1 easily. 15 Million Merits and Entire History of You are two of the best 3 episodes of all Black Mirror shows. And National Anthem is the best "worst episode" of all the seasons
I don;t know man, 2&3 are where it hit the stride. Whitebear was great.
What do you consider the other best episode other than the two you mentioned?
MONKEY'D
Pedo one was great imo, so was Nosedive. The rest of them ranged from okay to meh, with Men Against Fire probably being the most meh.
But The Entire History of You was shiiiit.
croc was my favorite too.
ark was mediocre.
i think everyone aside from complete brainlets can agree metalhead was the worst.
Dropped Mirror
...
Not him, but Be Right Back is my personal favourite.
The best part of Pilkington's story was the gay/lesbian finale. Shame they didn't do it justice.
Season 3 hits some peaks but as a whole season 1 and 2 feel more complete and consistent to me the style of the episodes feel very ""black mirror"" to me
And I liked The entire history of you one of my fave eps desu
You objectively should hate that beta fuck though, he was a real fucking asshole
Cool. I'll watch it then. I love that song.
>felt like they were making you hate on the beta genius and siding with the annoying normies
no, the writer is a gamer himself and made numerous attempts to avoid specifically that. the milioti character is also a beta IRL, it's an interesting character duopoly because she also feels empowered in the game, she lives out HER fantasy of defeating the creep. unsurprising that a lot of this board is evidently taking it personally, because you are meant to empathize with him.
Guinea pig was the protagonist.
Charlie confirmed for furry.
It's not Aesop's fucking Fables. Not every story has a "moral".
Disappoint with this season. Not one good episode.
How does a netflix series provide an accurate sample of all women in the world, buddy?
Why are people hating on Metalhead so much? I liked the change of pace to a horror episode with a robot rather than just shit about moving consciousness around and making digital simulations of people.
USS Callister having a "bad" white guy makes sense considering he's an angry tech developer, most of those are white. The other white guy in the episode (Walton) isn't evil.
The men in Arkangel are all white (the grandad, the boyfriend) and are the most reasonable, rational characters.
The only villain in Crocodile is a white woman. The white guy she kills is sympathetic and her husband is likable.
The protagonist of Hang the DJ is a white guy.
Metalhead has one white minor character and the villain is a robot.
Black Museum is the only one where the white guy is evil and the episode itself ties into racial politics in America, so I guess you have that one.
>muslim inbreeding produces blind child
Was it kino?
I liked it too it's just so blatantly obvious that that technology is a bad idea. The mom has so little self control its hard to give a shit about her.
Cheap terminator copy that tried to morph into Psycho for some reason. Could have been so much stronger with even a little world building.
Can we all agree that 15 Million Merits, Shut Up and Dance, Men Against Fire, and Hated In The Nation are the best episodes?
Did you pick 4 bad episodes on purpose?
>Men Against Fire, and Hated In The Nation
Men against fire is one of the worst, so fucking predictable and boring
Hated in the nation is ok but certainly not one of the best
Nosedive is one of the best for sure
It's almost impossible to discuss the moral stories of black mirror without some Sup Forumstard jumping-in with the anti-sjw rhetoric.
It's a shame. Every episode in S4 was thought-provoking imo and deserves a proper discussion.
I wonder if reddit talks about it without going all poltarded. I might have to check it out desu senpai.
