Read this on sadpanda. I liked it. Thought it was weird, though, how Ray is apparently some kind of drugged-up super soldier with super strength, but I can also appreciate the style of mixing mad science stuff with the mythological in a single setting, kinda like Hellboy.

Ray is a fucked-up dude and we barely know anything about his history apart from that he's seen some shit and that he was in the army. Though that's probably for the best, I don't think the comic would have benefited from a detailed backstory.
